I was told today by Centurion Customer Support that any mod to the exhaust of the boat that isn't a factory option will void your engine warranty, and that the stinger exhaust plates are only available for 2017 and newer models. I was looking for something to help with noise on my 2015 FS44. The FAE system gets great reviews, but now both are off the list for me until warranty period is up.

Danik - I have the same boat, 2015 FS44 with 550hp engine and having read the forums brought it to attention of dealer that it had a #2279 (15"d x 15.75"p) on it and no gel burn yet, but low hours and concerned it could happen with only about 1/2" clearance. Centurion agreed to change it out recommending a #1589 (14"d x 16"p). Thought all good, done back in August 2016, except that the dealer received prop and put it on without confirming the prop specs. They just installed what was in the box. I ran it all summer without checking as well (my fault). Labor Day weekend, I was under the boat looking for something else and noticed the hull was not only burned through gel coat, but into the fiberglass. Turns out that they installed a #2277 (15"d x 15.75"p) - same dimensions as original. Boat is at fiberglass shop now getting repaired and then for gelcoat repair, hopefully no metal plate, but expecting to go to a 14" or 14.5" prop, all under warranty thankfully.

I actually double checked looking under my boat and it has the 2279 prop on it, the paperwork I had was wrong. No issues with the xr550 motor. Drives like it would take more pitch if I wanted more cruising speed. It pops surfers up fully loaded with ballast with the current setup and I ease them up on the throttle, I don't drop the hammer, kids can't hold on as well.

My FS44 came same way, XR550, HA Prop 2279. 153hrs, pretty clear water. no burn though...

I have a 2571 acme (14"x12" pitch) on my new FS44 and I am I need to go the other way. I need to look at the 14" pitch or the 15.25" pitch. I am at 700' elevation and don't need the HA setup... Plus I have the XR550... Just picked up the boat this weekend though, need to put a few more hours on to be sure.
