  1. Surf setup

Haha. Must have been on a mobile. For wakeboarding we put about 15 to 20 seconds in the bow bag and center tank. Rear quick fill is either empty or 15 to 20 seconds. Sometimes we use no rear depending on bodies. We do have 160lbs of pop bags we can move side to side to clean the wash. Trim to suit. Speed we run 20 to 22. I think we are running a 70 or 75' rope right now. We are recreational riders, so aren't throwing a bag of tricks, but pre-teen son and teen son get good lift. Dark we saw you getting ready as we were leaving. Boys picked your boat out right away. We got tired of the chop. It was good until 3, then messed us up. We knew as soon as we left, it would get nice again. My Wife said when she and her girlfriends had the boat out Thursday it was the best water all season for the entire day.
  2. We use meguiars vinyl cleaner and protectant after each use, then some 303 protectant every few times out. For stubborn stains, Babes Seat soap.
  3. Surf setup

I don't have any. I will ask the wife tonight if she snapped some on her phone.
  4. We had hit Osoyoos for the week. Even had Extreme on hand in case we needed anything.
  5. Surf setup

Here was our latest quick surf settings. This worked pretty consistently for the week, except if the chop got bad. With full fuel, and a few extra bodies it was better. We will try and get some Fly High 750's for the rear. We would like to keep our side seats open for towel storage etc, So may just get more pop bags. We need to change the quick fittings to 90 degree anyway as the hose keeps kinking with the factory inline fittings. S238 Surf Setup 3 August 15 2016.pdf
  6. We just burned 335 litres of fuel for 15 hours of surfing, pulling a 3 man tube, and wakeboarding. That works out to about 6 GPH on the EX343 with a 1939 prop @ an elevation of 900'. RPM in the 3200 to 3400 range. We were mainly surfing with Quick surf as we were giving a variety of riders a shot.
  7. Planning to move from a Sea Ray to an inboard as the family wants to try surfing. We have been looking at some used centurions, and as well monitoring the Supremes. There doesn't seem to be much used out there in the 22 to 24' range, here in Canada. Most 2013 to 2015 are already pushing over 200 hours. Read up on Supreme S226 reviews, been through most of this forum. Now we have a few questions that perhaps you can answer. The Supreme S226 seems to get great reviews. Is the standard 5.7L engine enough power? Or are there times you wish there was more and just make do. Can you store rider profiles, ballast settings? Is the paddlewheel speed control enough, or upgrade to a GPS system? Is the GPS as simple as plug and play on the Supreme, or you would need to buy a full Perfect pass or Zero-off system? Any reports of prop wash on the 2016 S226? Any options that would be a must have during initial build? So far deciding between a 2013 SV230+ with 228 hours on a 409 6L and a 2016 S226 5.7L, the price is about 17K difference. Haven't found anything else that really makes us go wow, new or used as we are particular about the fit, finish and upkeep.
  8. What was the outcome on the Service Required light? Oil a tad low?, stuck paddlewheel?
  9. Darkness05? What size bags are you running in your rear locker? Factory?
  10. Here are a few more pics of details I grabbed on the 2017 S238. No center windshield, or bimini.
  11. That is what I thought about those covers. I have seen a reference to Rev 8's and a 12" sub on another dealers site. Not sure if that is a new factory option for 2017 or dealer upgrade.
  12. For the first half hour we had our boat on the water, the speedo, and therefore cruise wouldn't work. It then started blipping a few times and has worked since. There was either still tape over the paddlewheel or wax jamming it. We didn't get a service Required though. Hope it is an easy fix.
  13. Congratulations! Nice boat. We looked at that one a few times. Hopefully that is the issue. I know on 2 occasions, when we turned ours too quickly, the Service Required would come on. Simple shut down, wait, restart was all it needed. I fully understand the stereo thing. It is on our to do list. When we have time I will adjust the power wire to a constant power and then just use the Stereo Toggle switch to control on/off.
  14. My first guess, You may have turned the ignition key too quickly from accessory or off. Give it a second between turning the key right over. You will hear a beep, as everything calibrates first. Try turning off ignition. Then to accessory and let it calibrate, then start. Which one did you get? The Blue/Black S238 from the showroom?
  15. Extreme has a BOAT load of pics up on their 2017 S238. Link will die when it is sold. http://extremeboatsports.com/product/boats/2017-supreme-s238/
  16. Anyone installed the newer revised FAE on a single exhaust Centurion or Supreme? Good / Bad results? How did they support the pipe. Utilizing existing screw holes? I like the concept of the new FAE on the 2017 centurion. Intrigued to see if Supreme will also offer that as well. Seems easy enough to fab yourself if you can get a hold of the flexible exhaust ducting and replace the trim tab.
  17. We clean our boat after every use. Full wipe down and small shop vac if needed. It can get the bigger stuff from between the gap, but find it harder to get a cloth in there to grab any errant pine needle or dirty water streaks. I undid the screws the other day and lifted the cover to give it a good cleaning. A 12 volt or cordless vac with a small cleaning tip is probably ideal. I think they have some with small brushes on the end which would be perfect. The gator deck is definitely nice to walk on, and easy to clean. Love the look of it on the seat bases of the new Centurions.
  18. I like the gator step so you aren't hauling carpet out to dry, but don't like the visible gaps either. Every piece of dirt in the atmosphere is magically drawn to that gap.
  19. Yes it is long! That was my concern, as it would be right at or past the swim platform. Not sure I would like the look or functionality of that. I like the idea on the new Centurions though. Might think of making one like that, once I get a look at one in person.
  20. The price they gave me seemed to be the standard pricing.
  21. Nice. Your review will be appreciated.
  22. That pic of the 238 above is a 2017 reveal pic I had added for a reference to Caggiano1 in reference to the windshield and forward tower changes over the 2016 model. We run a 2016 in the attached pic.
  23. I asked FAE, they didn't have anything specific on the Supreme. Their design team is fine tuning the mount detail, but will be off a hinge or drain plug. They sent over a pic of single exhaust on a Centurion. It will stick out a ways from the Transom to clear the large trim plate. The odd time I can see the exhaust creeping into the atmosphere, but we were thinking more to drown out the noise while surfing and wakeboarding. While cruising, I don't mind the rumble of the V8!
  24. Surf setup

You run stock ballast correct? Both PNP bags full, and only surfside QF? Or only Surfside corner PNP and QF? What were you using for Trim and QS settings if any, and what speed? I'll add this in to the revised surf cheat sheet and repost it again soon. Have you tried this same setup Goofy?
  25. Yes, there was enough push with it. My younger son was only 90 lbs and for his 2nd time out was able to go ropeless, albeit for 30 to 40 seconds at a time as he is still learning. My wife, 14 year old son and our friend never dropped the rope but kept it very slack, and they were riding closer to the swim platform. Same with them learning so they were trying to figure out the weight balance on the toes and heels. Find a sweet spot and ride there a little then too much back foot and pull the rope taught. For my first time it was similar, but not nearly as graceful on the board. My family was riding the 4'6 Space Pickle, and our friend was on a 4'8 Skurfer Barracuda. On Sunday when we showed up, I think they had too much bow weight with the extra passengers up front and both center and bow bag full. The wave was weak. Water was a lot rougher too though.
