  1. There is a lot of personal preference involved in setting up a wave. I have a 2104 233 without the plug n play. I opted for this because I add about 700 lbs of lead throughout and I do not lose storage in rear lockers and I don't trailer the boat.. I good friend just took delivery of a 2015 with plug n play and I help set his boat up. The big variable is people onboard. Ramfil port - 100% Ramfil Starboard 30% Plug n play port full Plug n play Starboard - 0% Bow 100% CATS 80% Trim 20-60% depending on things 4 male adults- and the wave was almost as good as my boat. The next day we went out with just two of us and it wasn't close to what it was the day before.
  2. SV 244 Goofy Surf Setup

Weighting a boat can be an art and not an exact science. We are very sensitive to the wake and can detect changes as we burn fuel. I am saying this because moving people around is a good way to tweak your wake. You should experiment putting people in various places. FYI... the plug and play are your bags. Starboard/goofy Fill everything on that side I would fill the bow bag too CATS at 20 Trim at 30-40 to start and play with it Matthew adds some counter balance by filling the Port bag. Doing this allows you to change side very quickly. We ride the Starboard at 11-11.1 Port/regular Fill everything on that side Fill the bow I would either fill the rear Starboard sac or the ramfil 30% (the port side likes quite a bit of counter balance CATS 790-80 Trim 30% to start Speed at 10.7-11.1
  3. SV 244 Goofy Surf Setup

Mathew is a goofy as they get so he would know! I have a 233 and would set up similar to what he says.
  4. tower speaker upgrades.

Nice. What is your head clearance from those center speakers to the floor?
  5. Avy hull angle

A little silicone might be a good idea.
  6. And boat gas! It has been said many times. No wrong answer, test each and buy what works for you! done!
  7. 2014 SV233. No PNP bags but about 700lbs of lead. Absolutely nothing ever on the seats. A usual crew of 2-4 people total.
  8. My 233 has a killer surf wake. As good as it gets in my opinion. Just a heads up on it thought. The new downfire speakers are really low as far as I am concerned, especially on the 233. The added freeboard on the FS models make it better but not great. I spend a weekend with a friend and his new 233 and my head was bumped and bruised. If I were buying I would explore other speaker options. As far as the boats are concerned, there is no wrong answer here.
  9. They are both great boats. The new features and the extended warranty on the new boat is a great magnet. My 233 has a fantastic wake as good as any 244 I have been in. Also, Unless you have a huge crew, the 233 handles better than the 244.
  10. I have this Clarion model stereo in my SV233. I paired my phone to it and that works fine until I get a new phone. The system tells me that the paired list is full. The manual says it can hold up to three phones etc. Evidently the system is paired with other devices. The question is how do you cleared the paired list and start over? I cannot seem to go online to Clarion because their website refuses to load and the phone system is useless. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  11. Looking at the menu in the manual there is no Bluetooth setting shown. I may not understand what to do????
  12. Yes it is. I have looked at the manual, but it does not say how to reset the Bluetooth.
  13. Enzo FX22 questions

I have only driven an FS33 for a short period of time, but I likened it to an SUV versus my sports car like SV233
  14. Actually my point was most end users know how to weight a boat better than dealers because we use the boat all the time. You are a case in point. I didn't articulate that. Am I missing something, but Centurion publishes about the same amount of ballast for the FS33 and FS44. Centurions website lists the dry weight on the 100lbs more on the 44. The ballast note on their site has an asterisk, but I could not find an explanation of it. I am looking forward to visiting Brent Dorey in CA and spending time in his FS33 and seeing what it can do for myself.
  15. I don't have much to add except all fuel gauges are notoriously inaccurate. I use mine as a basic guide, but note engine hours to determine how much fuel I have burned.
  16. Nice video! I only wish that text was added to identify the surf boats. The boat manufacturer was obvious in some cases, not so much in others. Boat set up is a touchy subject in many ways. A dealer is not going to overload a new boat that is not even sold. With that said, years ago when I was looking to buy a boat with surfing in mind, it was nearly impossible to find someone knowledgeable. My best boat story is seeing a guy trying to surf behind a BU a few years ago. We were surfing and having fun and we could tell the boat was looking at us. The guy testing the boat ended the demo and located my Centurion dealer 3 hours away and bought a boat. Truly, seeing is believing.
  17. Yes, I had been following you other thread and I was wondering if you had any additional information here. I run a heavy boat with the 1847 prop and turn 3400 rpms Thanks
  18. I would be very interested in what you think regarding the 5 blade. A person from Acme does not recommend it, but I am still interested. My performance is good now, but I am always looking to make things better. It would be nice to lower RPM's and maybe save a bit of gas. In addition, I could use a spare prop that actually works for the boat. I have one, but it is a bit smaller.
  19. I am curious about boats with these new features and hear your thoughts and comments on them. I spent last weekend with a friend who took delivery of a new 233 with these features. Going into this I wasn't sure I would like the new tower and Bimini, but I did a lot. My biggest concern was the Bimini size, but we hit foul weather and it was as adequate as my Bimini. I really like the board storage pockets. My biggest concern now will be the plastic clips that hold it to the tower in front. I really like the tow point at the back so the rope does not rub the Bimini. This is a sore subject for me on my boat. I love the sound from the Downfire speakers, but the height of the speakers is a concern. The downfire portion is too low, at least it is in the 233. Maybe it is higher in the FS models. My head is bruised from hitting the speakers. This would be a reason to opt out of these speakers. Wetsounds and Exile now have attachments for the new tower. other thoughts, comments and observations????
  20. Thanks for that information.
  21. I guess what I was really trying to find out is whether the vertical distance under the downfire speakers would be in the FS 33/44 is greater. I am thinking the increased freeboard translates into more room under the speakers.
  22. We digress. I am wanting feedback on the Centurion products only.
  23. I currently have REV 10's but the are never an issue with my tower. Are the located more inward with the new tower making the speakers an issue regardless.
