  2. Map from Bethy Creek to the Trinity River through the rail cut Click image for larger version The rail cut is the way to the Trinity River from Bethy Creek. In case we are not around and someone wants to head out to ride. Follow the directions and take you time the first time out. If possible try to follow someone else that knows the cut. When is doubt walk it, be safe everyone!
  3. Due to the flooding several months ago on the Trinity River A new species has been spotted, keep an eye on the water. If you see a fin or what looks like a log swimming fast get out of the way. Good news is the sharks ate most of the gar. Can't wait to get there, be safe everyone!
  4. We are considering doing a pre-order Crew Deal on them after the event if there is enough interest. Look for a thread about it.

  7. Thanks DrNate, they turned out even better than expected. The photos below shows the original and a close up of the media etched logo. Basically a very small amount of the original finish is removed leaving a textured pattern. There is a very slight difference to the touch and the logo will last forever.
  8. 2016 CCC Weekend Hats

7th Annual CCC Weekend Caps are Here We made a slight change to the Mock-up of the cap. Originally the red text followed the curve of the bill of the cap. The manufacture could only embroidery in a straight line. Instead we wrapped the red text around the bottom of the CenturionCrew.Com logo. They look even better in person. Thanks to the members that purchased caps!

  10. Extended Weather Forecast as of 08/15/2016 Click for larger image...^^^ We have always been lucky with the weather on CCC Weekends. Above is the extend version forecast for the weekend. For those traveling/arriving on Thursday the weather should clear early in the evening, giving everyone a chance to travel and get setup. So if you are from the Gulf Coast the forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday is a typical day. There is a chance it might rain, highs in upper 80's with light winds. So it will be a little cooler than the 100 plus degrees we've had the last couple of weeks. We are crossing our fingers the weather forecast will only get better as the week goes on. The Trinity River/Lake Livingston river is currently 131.24 with 131.00 being full pool, which will give everyone the ability to launch at Bethy Creek and take the rail cut to the river. At this time we are moving ahead full steam. Thanks to the CCC community and the members attending the event! See you this weekend!

  18. HOW TO: Add a photo to a post

EVERYONE please read the following. In the off season this past year we were looking at analytics from the site and noticed a high number broken links. When researching the broken links in the threads we found most of the issues were caused by images hosted at another website being removed. Over time most likely members needed the space on photobucket etc. or did not care about the images and deleted them. This leaves a dead image link/missing image in the thread which all but, renders the thread useless and hurts the sites ranking. Since we have no control over these images it was decided in the best interest of the site for images to be posted they should be hosted on the site either in the gallery and linked or by posting as an attachment in the thread. At this time we created a blacklist of hosting sites that are not allowed to be used for hosting/linking photos to the site. Supporting members have no restrictions on their bandwidth or photo hosting. If you are a supporting member and have an issue uploading an image, the resolution is most likely to high and needs to be reduced by re-sizing the image. When uploading images, the best size is 800 pixels wide. When adding images to a thread they show up as a thumbnail, when a user clicks on the thumbnail the picture expands to the full size it was loaded as. The issues with pictures is simple, a typical picture from a SLR camera is normally between 4 and 12mb, an 800 pixel wide image is usually around 50kb, so the site can host 200 images at 800 pixels wide with at a size of 50kb in place of a single 10mb image. It would take 2gb to host 200 images 10mb in size which is enough hard drive space to host 40,000 images at 50kb. This is not even taking into account the server speed if everyone were downloading 10mb image files compared to 50kb image files, this all has a lot to do with the server and over all quality of the site. We are trying to do what we feel is right for the overall community. If anyone would like to feel free to PM the CrewAdmin to discuss ideas and options.
  19. HOW TO: Add a photo to a post

The reason you have been having issues and over you allotted disk space is due to your supporting membership expiring in June 2015. While we appreciate you being a supporting member in the past you have not been one since then. Once a member has used their bandwidth they must become a supporting member to post images. See next post for more details.

  21. Sorry Stoked nothing personal, recently we were looking through older post at how to's that members posted. In a lot of them members had used external links to images. Over time most likely members needed the space on photobucket etc. or did not care about the images and deleted them. This leaves a dead image link/missing image in the thread which all but, renders the thread useless. Since we have no control over these images it was decided in the best interest of the site for images to be posted they should be hosted on the site either in the gallery and linked or by posting as an attachment in the thread. Supporting members have no restrictions on their bandwidth or photo hosting. If you are a supporting member and have an issue uploading an image, the resolution is most likely to high and needs to be reduced by re-sizing the image. We are just trying to do what we feel is right for the overall community. If you would like we can start a new thread and discuss this in more detail.

  23. rockballer, this is the first we heard of you having issues, if you had made us aware of them we could of resolved them when you were a a supporting member.
