  1. Surf board

All our beginners and kids get up 1st try on our Phase 5 drew or really small kids Scamp. We've never grown out of the Drew series. Had most brands of boards. High end skim style gets my vote cause its easy for newbies to sink.
  2. I need to go to gps. I've been running rpm mode for a year, now the display is mostly black. Add that to the list. Servo has been working fine knock on wood. Is there a life expectancy on the servo?
  3. I replaced all mine and added cup holders and underwater. I didn't mess with docking lights as never use them. My voltage draw was less with the added leds so I just spliced in and went. I kept the existing sockets and just popped in a t-10 led 5 cluster bulbs off ebay. Several years and no issues. (I don't have tower spot lights, but do in my wetsounds)
  4. Just did my plugs, cap, rotor. Same symptoms and runs like a champ now. Was odd since only 2 years on cap/rotor, but a bunch of moisture last year in storage so I guess that was it.
  5. Just shredded my sharkskin. I see the covers above, do they strap to the trailer too? I don't think I want a bunch of rivet snaps drilled all over my gelcoat like a typical bowrider, I take it's tight enough for travel? Estimated prices (22ft Avy always stored inside, minimal towing)?
  6. Mine was only running one battery and other things. I now run both batteries together and haven't had a problem since. We'll my paddle want out so stargazer is in my future. Run rpm mode for now.
  7. Im not very mechanical but dealer quoted 1.5 hours and just about right I did it in almost 3 hours. In a few weeks it should take me a bit over an hour. (2nd time) Some cramps in my back and legs, a bloody knuckel or two and good to go. It's a pain for sure, but get to know your boat. I got my stuff from Bakes, filters and oil too.
  8. Guys it's 4" longer than the side seat cushions. Between that and the cup holders, supported fine. It's heavy so I guess a thicker board back, like double the side seat cushion. We love ours
  9. If ya feel a big drag or bang with a huge spray like 6ft high, shut it down, the pin broke. Good question on where? I got a few online years ago for an Airens snowblower. You guys going to switchblade?
  10. Just had the pin break and mine sank to the bottom of the lake. it's brass and will shear off if you hit something. I didnt hit anything just the brass bends over time. i never checked all season. dont trailer with it on as the rams will fail early. I never use in shallow lakes just in case. I wouldnt worry if its a deep lake and you know it.
  11. Avy hull is different, 100" wide and deeper v. 230 Enzo every day. Not mentioned but isnt the supreme 226 another used similar boat? Have fun shopping!
  12. The short Enzo is a crossover hull, Id pass if I were you. 23 Enzo is 2-4" wider than the Avy and it helps feel bigger than a foot. Actually I weigh and list the Avy more than the Enzo we rode. My wife preferred the Enzo that didnt Lean as much. ++switchblade is nice on both boats if it has one, not a necessity. Must imo, 2006+ for the better tranny ratio. Fyi 2009+ Avy has higher cap and reverse prop so geared a bit better goofy wave.
  13. I had a custom one made for behind the driver. prob is its so thick you need a custom base thats 8" or 10" high plus the carpet edge. I mounted on my cooler but sit too high, kinda weird. Never use it. Saw one with full custom over the walkthrough but then you got traffic wear. Id just get a padded cooler.
  14. Why choose Centurion?

I knew my wakeboarding days were numbered, wanted and got the best surf wave. Rough water ride (bu rattled my teeth). Build quality, best for the money
  15. Go Pro Mounts and Advice

What editing software for us that dont have Apple products?
  16. Enzo 2" wider and a foot longer. Prob the only reason an Avy over Enzo if youre OCD about the goofy wave. Enzo takes less ballast and lean to get its potential. Both will be close to taking water in the vents when slammed (tape vent). Enzo all the ways unless the Avy is much cleaner or price point.
  17. I did all brass. kept the Elbow since it wouldnt budge, so removed the inlet hose (cut it off) and added my 1" 'T'. I kept everything 1" and just use a long funnel. Have it angled since its cramped
  18. I go to Amazon to get most of my mercruiser/quicksilver marine parts. Or Bakes. Id shy away from auto stores as yes its a perfect fit but marine electrics are designed not to go BOOM in enclosed spaces with a gas tank right there. Im a bit on the safe side. pics are a must
  19. Bring the link of the Centurion/Gekko Wave. Same concept but unless its an awesome wave and under $30k it will die. $40k is too much imo.
  20. I unscrew the ballast puppy and my johnson brass plates plus i sand them of any buildup. I take strainer completely off as one year it was filled with pink af but water between the threads and cracked the plastic. I dont do anything with my drain puppys, but prob shound pull the cartridge. Been 8 years a-ok through weeks of sub-zero deg. good idea to pour into drain port. THX
  21. How much are they now? Im in my 2nd pair and starting to stick. I see one leaking (white grease) so its a matter of time till they pull apart and are toast. for now i make sure im not moving when i engage it. i think only one is working. Btw my first set of actuators i called around and you gotta buy from switchblade as they are Special throw distance....and double the price
  22. Ive Shined my prop a few times through sand and muck. If in doubt paddle. the scupper is in front of the prop so never sucked anything bad. Note my prop looks perfect but I have a vibration. I switched to a brand new prop and perfect now; story is you dont need to nick the prop, its very sensitive.
  23. Call Acme for a better prop, 06'+ has better drive ratio. I like my 1632, most members run a similar dimensions. I have no trouble putting my 2000lbs ballast on plane while im draining. I added a Johnson to my rear 1100 for 7min fill time. Wakemaker kit. That Avy is done depreciating much. The enzo slows down low 40s. Both nice.
  24. A dealer or handy boat guy can add a power trim tab very easy. My buddy got his for I think $450. 02' was the first year for the Avy hull and wood free. Perfect Pass is a must. if adding it new go GPS unit called Stargazer, its not much more and used boats the paddle wheel will start to stick like my Avy. I dont mind my walkthrough Avy, helps on seat wear but would rather have a seat. I added a cooler with matching pad. We surf goofy fine but also have switchblade that helps shape the wake.
