What size pump and who's brand? Maybe too small of wire used, creating alot of resistance starving the motor. (voltage drop) by going with a bigger gauge there is less chance of voltage drop.
It's one of those ballast puppies and I think that it is overheating. It's the one that came with the boat from the factory. I have cleaned the filter and checked the hoses but it still cuts out. Not sure what else to do. I might just order a new pump.
