  1. My first custom board build

Looks like summers coming this weekend.
  2. Video edit finished!

Excellent video Looks like everyone had a great time!
  3. I always used 15/40 for diesel motors in my merc with no problems and it had 400+ hours on it. I would have no issue using 20/50 in my boat.
  4. I was actually impressed with the amount of fuel I used during the initial 5 hour break in period on my boat. I know it used less gas than my old boat(direct drive) and this boat Has about 80 hp more. Also a buddy of mine has a new RZ 2 with the same motor(PCM ex343) and he thinks it burns less fuel than his previous tige with a vortec 340hp. Maybe I'll see if he wants compare hours of use and how much fuel burned as a kind of guide to see if there is a difference
  5. The tide is in!

Also have to watch for alot of debris in the water with levels that high. I hope it's drops to a more normal level for your holiday.
  6. The tide is in!

You should try to do a running start with a skim board like the guys in the phase5 team video! Is that on the Shuswap?
  7. Glad you got it straightened out
  8. It's probably running hot because the impeller blade is blocking the trans cooler. You should only let the boat idle when running on the hose because you don't get enough flow when you bring up the rpm's
  9. I just got my 1100 sacs from wakemakers yesterday, pulled out the hard tanks on the weekend and reinforced my dividers tonight. For the extra $40 I would go with the 1100's
  10. What do you think....

I think you should try to find a similar avalanche (options, hours, etc) and compare the price to what you paid for your avalanche. I would think any reputable dealer would compensate you for the difference in price. At least you bought from a dealer and not a private seller or you be out of luck. Hopefully it works out for you.
  11. My buddy just gave me a 14 gallon/53 liter gas can. I am changing it from a pump/siphon nozzle to gravity feed. I will use it this weekend and let you know how it works.
  12. Check to see how much oil is in the reservoir. If its low you won't get the full stroke of the trim adjustment.
  13. Dry-z-air crystals work great to absorb moisture and also odors. You should find them at any RV dealer.
  14. +3 for Lucas products I've never tried them on my boat though
  15. Yeah I know what you mean....that brokerage fee is brutal $$$$
  16. When you think about it it's no wonder the transmission's in these boats are having problems. A trans in a boat is different from a vehicle. It's constantly under load, no coasting or what ever. It's like driving up hill all the time. The boat weighs say 4000lbs and then we 2000lbs of ballast plus 4-6 people. All of this and the trans only has 2-3 liters of tranny fluid. Doesn't take long to get hot. Someone needs to come up with a deeper oil pan or a larger trans cooler to increase the fluid capacity to make them stand up to the work load we put them under.
  17. Wakemakers comes as a kit that will adapt the sacs to your factory set up. I just ordered 2 kits with 1100lb sacs last week. So with an 1100 in the lockers,250 center and 250 mid each side I think the wake should be pretty decent
  18. June Picture Thread

Nice! Looks like you have the wake dialed on both sides
  19. +1 for what acman said. Make sure the trans cooler is not blocked. Change the fluid. When you put the boat in the water you must idle in gear and check your fluid level. If the fluid is low it will slip.
  20. If you want another snap on cover I would do what 2001 said and go to the local upholstery shop. But if you want an actual cover I would look up Westland covers or if you want an excellent cover I would go with Evolution covers
  21. I emailed inland back in march and they said they were expecting the mucus to be out some time in late April
  22. Congrats on the new boat. Hopefully it warms up so you can get out and do your motor break in. We just did ours last weekend and got a surf in before winter came back again:(
  23. I dont know if this is a good/bad idea or what but it kept me awake from 3am on thinking about it-----Has anyone ever tried a tee or Y fitting from the feed of the raw water pump to help speed up the fill times on larger sacs? You could tee or Y into the hose that goes from the raw water pump to the engine water pump then have a ball valve to 1" hose then a Y valve to direct it to your left or right rear locker sacs. I think the only issue could be possibly the motor getting too hot but at idle or up to 1000-1300 rpm I don't know if it would be a problem. What do you think?
  24. Yeah the more I think about it the risk of damaging your motor is not worth it $$$
  25. New Board Build
