Actually every single canned tuned I have ever seen just increase timing and don't even touch any of the fuel tables. A leaner gasoline engine will typically make more power than a rich engine unless there's a power adder and even then going too rich will hurt performance. The problem is going lean can damage an engine just like too much timing can cause pre ignition or detonation. I've been involved in building high performance LS based engines and tuning using HP tuners and EFI live for over 10 years now and I can say that a proper tune can definitely add performance and conserve fuel but I have yet to see an off the shelf hand held tuner that I would consider using. That said I wouldn't use an off the shelf tuner in a diesel either, my duramax is tuned with EFI live and dyno'd 409 RWHP on my towing tune and shifts perfectly under both part throttle and full throttle. I have yet to see an off the shelf tuner without custom tunes that does that

I kept track of mine the other day just to see where Im at. We were on the water for 3 hours and 45 min about 3.5 hours of which was surf time. I filled the boat on the way to the lake and I filled it back up again today. It took 77 litres which converts to 20.3 gallons divided by 3.5 hours is 5.8 gallons per hour. That's fully loaded with ballast, 8 people on the boat and everyone who surfs is at least fairly good, ill often go for a 15 to 20 min run without falling so the boat is running hard for all of those hours. Again that's 3.5 hours of surfing, not sitting around changing riders, not idling to and from the dock, straight 3600 rpm fully loaded surf time.

Sounds good. My bro took my boat up to Osoyoos for me today so I can haul my trailer full of furniture for the new house on Tuesday so I'm boat less. I'd also boardless so ill need to borrow one of those too lol

I've surfed the Z3 and own an FS33, my boat seems really good on fuel as I burn around $20-25 an hour. To me it doesn't matter though because the surf wake on the FS33 is so much better than the Z3 it wouldn't be worth any amount of fuel savings

I put 50 percent down on mine and I'm sure Ill end up paying it off in a couple of years. Interest rates are so low it makes sense to keep a few bucks in the bank and owe some money. I would never do the 10 percent down thing, I couldn't imagine owning something that I couldn't get out of if I needed to. Always need to have equity in anything you own

The tire ratings are when they're old and worn out at 75 mph at excessive temps, they'll be just fine going a few hundred feet. I've loaded at least a thousand pounds of camping gear into the boat and done an 8 hour drive of the freeway without incident

Tomorrow I will have owned my boat for one month and so far I have 38 hours on her. So far it's only been weekend use with the odd week day here and there. I can only imagine how many hours it will have by the end of summer. How many hours does everyone else typically put on?

So we headed up to Osoyoos Lake for the long weekend and ended up staying till today, water was glass all day for the last 3 days and warmed up to 74
