Deckover on the platform
PayCheck posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Has anyone ever tried using Behr Deckover or similar on their platform? I keep trying to restore the platform but give up because the boat sits in the sun all summer. Would it hold up well? I know a bright teak color would look fantastic, and feel good on the feet. Taking stain stripper to the teak would remove the oil, I just don't know if it would work as well on teak like it did for normal wood on a porch. -
Hey fellas, I had an idea of creating a parts catalog for all the centurion models of the most recent years, say 2000 and on. I was thinking of creating an excel sheet or something similar. I had trouble locating my steering cable model, and the cable in my boat is unreadable. Please let me know what boat you have, and some common part numbers, filters, oil types, batteries, ect go with it. I would like to use factory recommend parts and such. Once I start the excel sheet, I would be glad to email it around or put it up on dropbox or google drive. On my 2006 Elite V C4, I have an example. Feel free to correct me, thats why I'm starting this! Steering Cable: Teleflex SSC15420 Please let me know what you think! I will organize it by year then by boat.

update, 2006 Elite V C4 Steering Cable: Teleflex SSC15420 20' hope this helps someone in the future -
I am also interested in this, after testing the fs33 this summer a demo'd boat may be where we are headed. About the only way we are getting into one I have heard that the warranty (from a dealer boat) begins the day you purchase it. I wouldn't look at a pro riders boat personally, they abuse the snot and out of them and absolutely slam them with ballast. At least in wakeboarding.

Detailing outside of boat

true, I am going to try boat candy here in a few weeks, thanks for the info. I know your boat shines, have you ever used the crystal cut compound or extreme crystal cut compounds? The upper deck on our boat is looking a bit tired and Id like to make it all look new.Just trying to see what is the best for the job -
Wylie, would you predict that these lights be brighter than the bullet lines x600? it draws under .5A, runs 6watts, and 12v DC. This has my direct attention if I can find some lights that will pull at least 2A

Yearly Maintenance

rhuntlll, did you have any trouble installing the distributor cap and rotor? I may go ahead and do this if needed, tons of work to do on the boat before we think about selling it -
cleaner

purple power from advance auto, walmart. autozone, works for us about once a summer to get stains or mold out. We use 303 regularly, and our 18 year old pontoon looks brand new still (Overbys will be getting our new pontoon in soon ) -

Stretch, that has to be Kerr Lake, or no? Ive never been on a lake that has shore lines like Kerr with the water fluctuation and all. We are on the Virginia side near Mills Creek, Ivy Hill, and buoy 8 -
Has anyone added a rear view camera to the boat and hook up to TouchVision screen?
PayCheck replied to ReSession's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
that guy with the malibu had two exile speakers mounted on the back of his boat, thats gotta be the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen but i know some of the new boats come with cameras on the towers, which have a rod that follows the rope on a turning mount. maybe a cool idea if you are looking to make something! -
I have spent a lot of time on a Moomba, and their customer service has been incredible. We have had a very good experience with Moomba, and Centurion. Of course, we have the best Centurion dealer in the country, but still we have had very positive experiences with our Centurion and the Moomba dealers. The Moombas fit and finish is very solid, not quite to the luxury of a 233, but it has held up impressivly well for us. the 226, 233, or Mojo all will serve you well with a great dealer

'13 elite V? What should I pay?
PayCheck replied to crimson850's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I can't be sure whats fair pricing, but I can assure you everyone I have spoken with has loved overbys, theres simply no beating his prices and customer service. my family has been doing business with the overby family for decades, before I was born. You can't go wrong with whatever boat you get from him. hands down best dealer you'll ever find -

Has anyone sewn a loop to boat cover top to connect to tower instead of using poles?
PayCheck replied to ReSession's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
hangtyte works incredibly well. Ive halped a friend who has it cover his boat, and its the simplest idea but makes covering your boat so easy. its a good start point if your cover is all mumbo jumbled too, just hang it up and go from there -
Coming soon... order, ALMOST up

Dark, when I see that boat, this is what i think of. Hands down. (aside from the pulling the plug part) notice the radio part -
H... I could listen to Finger Five Death Punch forever thanks for the introduction

That was Acme Tops and Tunes boat, and it says it was sponsored by Wetsounds. Theres no way he paid near face value for all those speakers, and the shop did their own install so theres no labor cost. I would never buy that boat, but I would like to know how many batteries he's running with 32 REV10s and 12 Solos.

T brudda I think that looks sweet, I love the L7 subs A LOT! but H not to bash or argue, but how many people are ever in the life of the boat going to look up underneath of the EQ to make sure its flush? It seems this audio installer made right with the maybe poor box built the first time, that counts for a lot in my book. I like the EQ in the dash, I hit my knee on them whenever I am driving other boats that have EQs right under the helm, but thats just because I get excited and try to jump when someone does a big trick behind the boat
