Parts and fuel tank for '94 Falcon V-Drive
bobhauck replied to lymehouse's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Here is a picture of the gas tank on my 93 Falcon XP. It's a direct drive but it looks like your tank an motor are about in the same place. -

If you can't find one, but you can make a template for the pattern, you might be able to take the pattern to a place like TAP plastics or something and have them make you one. Then just decide where you want your guages and either drill them out yourself or have the plastic company do it. They should be able to make it in just about any color you need. -
'89 Tru Trac II wiring issue...
bobhauck replied to Lebowski74's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I would start by double checking the wiring on the new solenoid and the ignition switch. Make sure your connections are good and correct and all the wires are in good shape. -

Check with skidim.com. They have a lot of parts for older boats and the staff there is pretty knowledgeable. Even if they don't have every part, they might be able to steer you to the right place. -
2004 Centurion Lightning Suddenly Started Vibrating
bobhauck replied to rbhous's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Yea I would check the motor mounts for issues. Also check you vacuum lines for splits or if something came off. When it was shaking was the rpm holding steady or was it fluctuating? -
no dash

Sounds to me like a loose wire somewhere. Check all the ground connections to make sure they are tight and not gummed up. -
I think she really watns to go to the lake
bobhauck replied to Skibumm's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Someone needs to not drink so early in the morning. I say take her to the lake put her on your buddies boat and leave her there and never look back. And go get your tires rotated. -
91 Centurion Falcon - Need tuning help
bobhauck replied to SJ701's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
When you had the carburetor rebuilt did you have the accelerator pump rebuilt? Take the air cleaner off and with the boat off look down in the top of the carb underneath the butterfly valve. As they move it forward gasoline should come out of the squirters. If there is no gasoline ask the person if who rebuilt your carb if they replaced the accelerator pump diaphram. If they did that, there is an adjustment on the arm which pushes down on the lever operating the accelerator pump. If you still can't get a gasoline out of the squirters you can also adjust the float bowl levels. I would try and keep the idle around 700 rpm. Any higher and you put more stress on the transmission. For the vibration question, when you place your boat in gear outside the water does it scream at you? If not then the strut bearing/bushing might need to be repaced. This is the copper and rubber bushing nearest to the propeller. You might also want to check your shaft alignment and your propeller to see if it has been dinged or bent for any reason. You can download a manual for the indmar 351 at bakesonline.com just do a google search with the year. I have a 1993 Centurion Falcon and have played with the settings a lot so I am pretty familiar with them. If you want more answers PM me and I will give you my email address. I hope this helps. -
Sometimes the water jackets in the motor get plugged up with gunk from the lake. I would remove all the plugs for the motor and flush it. Make sure water comes out evenly everywhere. You can also do it with an air compressor.

I live in Galt and go to Camanche and New Hogan mostly. I mainly go on Mondays in the summer time because it is less crowded. Sometimes I head up to Bullards Bar as well. -
Does anyone know of any places that cell replacement traction pads for wakesurf boards? I don't care if its an exact replacement or if its just the material and I have to cut out my own pattern.

I live in Sac. I will be heading to the bay in a few weeks. I am gonna try and make it a point to stop by CMS on my way through. Thanks WakeMitch

Go Pro, Spots-vue and or other cameras
bobhauck replied to RhuntIII's topic in Watersports & Related Gear
I have the GoPro HD2. Great camera. Very versatile. I use it on my boat, dirt bike helmet, car, etc. It comes with tons of mounts and tons of options for mounts. They also came out with a floating back plate for it, so if it falls in the water you are good. Wouldn't buy anything else. -
It looks to me more like someone forgot to put the plug in.

I am a new rider and was wondering what would be a better board for a guy my size. I was looking at the Hyperlite Broadcast or Landlock. I am about 6ft5 and 265lbs. I can get either one new for around 180.00 so I was wondering what would be the better buy. Thanks for any input. I have only tried surfing on maybe 5 occassions and still learning the basics.

No Problem Big Po. The Epic seems way more practical with the longer run time and the fact that it actually has seating.

Check this one out. It seems way more practical. Says up to 10 hours of run time. http://green.autoblog.com/2010/02/16/epic-boats-introduces-all-electric-wakeboard-craft/

FAE exhaust question
bobhauck posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
I was wondering if anyone knew of any differences between the 1994 Falcon XP Bowrider and the 1993 Falcon XP. I want to get an FAE system for my 1993 Falcon XP and they have a setup already listed for a 1994 Falcon XP bowrider. Just would like to know if this would work. Any info will help thanks. -

impeller replacement
bobhauck replied to Chas's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
This is why I love my direct drive. I flip up the motor cover loosen 4 8mm bolts. The impeller change takes about 30 mins. At about 35 bucks a kit. I would change it every year its not worth the risk. I had an impeller go out on my old Monterey while I was driving. Apparently on the Monterey's there is a wiring harness on top of the exhaust manifold, which if the engine over heats, it likes to catch on fire. Hell of a day on the water.
