  1. We used to use a vacuum and fish tape and a lot of frustration at a marina I worked at. Sometimes it was easy... sometimes it wasnt. Pull with your existing wire. So much easier.
  2. My 02 wake is surfable with just an 1100 in the back locker and a few people in boat on same side. At most i've done 1100 sac + 400 under seat on surf side, and a 400 under the walk thru. Moving people to the bow at that point didn't seem to help. Seems people add bow weight once they've really loaded the back first. I'd like to do the 600 under the seat and a fatbrick on platform next before looking at bow again. I also dont have the center tank.
  3. You could take it to a machine shop or welder and have a little material wleded in then have them tap a new hole the thread pattern that the nut used to be or they might have some sort of threaded insert that can be welded in? My tower filled slowly with water over a decade and cracked out one winter. A local welder did a decent repair.
  4. Have you checked great lakes skipper? For a while I was able to find OEM things for my 2002 on there.. not so much anymore. The things I'm looking for that I can't get OEM anymore I have been considering getting pieces of HDPE "Starboard" marine plastic cut or maybe even aluminum machined.
  5. I still haven't made any progress on this project but was thinking about it today. Going to be at the lake for 10 days for the 4th. I committed to building a parade float... but might be a good time to start wet sanding =D
  6. 2006 Avalanche

When I worked at a centurion dealership years ago (lot boy and gopher not anything skilled) the heaters were notoriously hard to winterize and often froze out no matter how much antifreeze or compressed air we blew in. Post some pics of your non functional install and maybe it will jog my memory.
  7. Prop Seal drip

I have an 2002 Escalade and I haven't noticed a drip from inside out before but normally water only gets in like that on my lift before the canopy is installed (always leave plugs in on cable lift, years ago I witnessed way too many hydro locked motors when a cable snaps, but always store on dry land nose up plugs out). I've never serviced the shaft seal and suspect it is leaking outside in. Haven't confirm the leak and repack the seal is on my to do list. That probably didn't help at all...
  8. Which motor do you have? I think I remember there is a separate low pressure and high pressure fuel pump. Did you check the pressure on your fuel lines? Perhaps the low pressure pump that primes the motor is on the fritz.
  9. I'm not familiar with the new centurion heaters but the old ones were not closed loop and were a PITA to winterize. We used compressed air to blow anti freeze into them after blowing out the water and 50-50 they still froze out. This was mid 2000s centurions with mercruisers. Haven't seen a new one myself yet. Does the loop run through an oil cooler or something to heat up?
  10. Your boat turned out amazing! Would you mind providing some details on your wetsanding process? When I was younger I worked at a marina and did some buffing with compound/polish and very very minor wetsand. My centurion is a 2002 and has serious oxidation requiring a full wet sand. I tried to do the entire transom to start with after testing a small spot at bottom of the transom. I used 1000 grit, 1500, then 2000 with a little soap in the water. Then buffed with a compound said to get out 1000 grit scratches. The small test spot looked great, the transom shined up to a degree but the sanding scratches never completely came out. And even with polish then wax, it was completely oxidized again within a season or 2. I never finished the full boat but need it so bad now. What am I doing wrong?
  11. Did you end up keeping the factory tower? If so, how hard was it to put back on. Mine has slowly filled with water over the years and froze out a few years back. I had it welded but its ugly (only took off top part not whole thing to do that). I also installed a bimini in a terrible way drilling into it when I was younger. I've thought about take the whole thing off, patching all holes, cleaning up the weld, and having it re-powder coated. How much did powder coating run you? I have heard that cheap alternatives are rustoleum metal appliance paint and metal fence paint.
  12. Pics please!!!! Exploring similar options as my vinyl on my 2002 is falling apart.
  13. Did you ever solve your problem? I have a 2002 Escalade w/ the 350 Mag. I've replaced the starter, starter solenoid x2, neutral safety switch, and had issues with the kill switch before. Good luck! I've still got an issue where if the throttle isn't exactly in neutral the boat wont start. I have to jiggle the throttle just a hair, usually pulling it back slightly towards neutral (against the stop basically without the button up to shift out). One of these days I'm going to look at it closer...
  14. CREW DEAL: 2018 CenturionCrew.Com Spare Tire Cover

If this didn't happen yet I am in for one.
  15. I have the same issue on a 2002 with the 350 mag. I haven't tried to diagnose anything, one of these days I'll get the multimeter out. Did you have any luck?
  16. 2011 Supreme 226: $64K

I'm a Centurion owner (2002 Escalade) and former Supreme employee. I can tell you for sure the v226 is not a copy of any boat with the exception of the pickle fork style. It was all designed in-house. Its deep and its pretty sick. I never surfed it so I can't comment there but as already mentioned, the interior could use some polishing. Alot of polishing... I'll look around and see if I can find the concept photos from the original designer, it was going to look much like the Tiges originally. IMO the original concept renderings look way better than it turned out. I really liked the Supreme V212. Sick wake for riding when pumped full. Screw an enzo, get an avalanche ;D I'm not biased at all. Edit: First off edited for grammar. I also worked at a Centurion dealership for 3 years. I don't wanna post negative about either on the forums but if you have some particular questions about certain models I'll share what I have seen. Shoot me a PM or email. Namadio@iupui.edu
  17. I have a 350 mag doing the same thing =( Lemme know if you figure anything out. New plugs, wires, and fuel filter is on my todo list...
  18. Swim platform

What does it cost to get a fiberglass platform from centurion? I have a 2002 that is not holding up at all.
