  1. Boat value?

Thanks, the NADA says $38k without the add ons, so I was thinking $45k as well. Thanks! It's a sad day indeed but we don't get to use it as much as we used to!
  2. Boat value?

I am ready to finally put my baby on the market and have no idea how accurate NADA is and what to ask. What do you guys think? I have a 2005 Avalanche with Storm III package and went through the NADA site on engine, options, etc. But I also have TONS of add ons. RGB rings on all speakers and cupholder rings, wetsounds 3some, wetsounds xxxv2 sub, all JL audio amps, 5 batteries, custom surf ballast with dual Johnson pumps, Shadowcaster transom LEDs, Perfect Pass GPS upgrade, several surfboards, wakeboards, tubes, skis, kneeboard, all that jazz. Do you guys find the value on NADA is accurate for the base and then add x amount for all of the extras? How do i go about pricing it so that i'm getting an accurate value?
  3. Wet Sounds A-Link

How does this connect to the actual headunit?
  4. I had to file a claim with SkiSafe three years ago. It wasn't a huge claim (hit a submerged log and bent the prop, driveshaft and the bent prop hit the bottom of the boat so needed some glass/paint work), but the process was super easy, painless and very fast. Just took it to shop of my choosing, they sent pics and documentation to SkiSafe, and SkiSafe sent them a check minus my $500 deductible. Easiest insurance claim process i've ever been through.
  5. And you think your system is bad tush?

I see him at the lake all the time he's here in Oklahoma. Solid dude and this is his third boat like this and he goes bigger every time. I haven't heard this system in person yet but he sent me a cell phone video and it was vibrating the beers off the boats near him
  6. I have had Skisafe for several years and had a claim a couple of years ago and that process was very smooth and easy. However my most recent insurance invoice (2 years after my last and only claim, no traffic tickets) has gone up by over 20% over last year. I'm going to start shopping to see what else is out there due to that.
  7. Upgrade to sub? Paging Wylie and others....

Well I measured and measured and I just don't see any way I can get that 13w7 to fit under the helm. I ordered the XXXv2 and the HD1200/1 amp and will build a ported box to WetSounds specs, facing it into the driver. I can sell my 12w6v2 and HD750/1 and make most of the money back that i'll need to spend, plus it will pretty much be plug and play since i'm swapping 1 for 1 on everything. Now i just need to figure out how to build some sort of trim piece to conceal the box put let the sub and port show. Thanks for the input guys!
  8. Upgrade to sub? Paging Wylie and others....

Ok so I found out today I can get the JL 13w7 for about the same price as the xxx v2. So money being equal, we are looking at 1200 watts on a xxx vs 1500 watts on a 13 w 7. The downsides I see to the w7 at this point are foam vs rubber surround and a lot bigger box. Should the foam surrounds be a concern? Which one will play loudest? Hit the hardest?
  9. Upgrade to sub? Paging Wylie and others....

I kind of like that idea because I can keep using my hd750/1 and just get another one and out one on each voice cool, right? Do you recommend the vented box on the JL website?
  10. Upgrade to sub? Paging Wylie and others....

Also the xxx would be powered by JL hd1200/1, so wouldn't that be increasing excursion and power both?
  11. Upgrade to sub? Paging Wylie and others....

The box is firing towards the walk through and is powered by a JL HD750/1
  12. I have a pair of rev 10's and a rev 410 on the tower and xs-650's all around inside the boat. I only have a 12w6 in a ported box from earmark and it sounds great inside the boat but outside the boat it doesn't seem to match with the volume of the tower. I don't want to use all of my space on the passenger side, so the only option is to replace the 12w6. Would a XXX or 13w7 or even 12w7 really give me a ton more (read worth the money) increase in output? i realize i'll have to up the input power, but i'm worried i won't have the space. I am open to cutting out the walkthrough ice chest to gain that space, but not sure if a box that funny shaped would would right either. Thoughts????
  13. Definitely want to run them straight to the battery, and if you have separate ones, the battery that is not connected to the stereo equipment.
  14. I put mine on the wall of the engine compartment, but I have the walkthrough transom and installed them there.
  15. My trailer has the old bath hubs and I took them to an old man that my dad has been using for years to get serviced and dropped it off. He had never seen them and thought the oil was just grease that had mixed with water, so they must all be leaking and he knocked them out and put in greased ones. UGH. I was not happy when I picked it up, but it was on the Friday morning before a 3 hour lake trip. That was at the beginning of last season and I haven't had any issues. I am just going to keep them the way they are until I its time for new ones.
