Dual Bank Charging System
Jeremy replied to Jake707's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
How big is your new stereo system? Are you playing the stereo with the engine off? Which battery did you get for the stereo? If you have a large system with multiple amps your alternator won't be able to fully charge your batteries. This is why you need to install the charger you bought from Amazon. Then when you get home from the lake you plug in the power cord to the charger and it tops off the charge on the batteries. They will last much longer if they are fully charged after each lake trip. The ACR probably has a low voltage lockout too so the alternator won't charge the stereo battery if you drain it too much. -
2008 Black Scorpion won't start

Did you check the four 20 amp fuses on the motor? They are on top towards the front of the motor under a plastic cap at the end of a group of wires. I know one of them is for the fuel pump. -
Today, I was excited to install my new sub in the box I built. Then, as I was about to start bolting it in I noticed a bunch of spider cracks in the cone. Has anyone seen anything like this before? I'm not sure if it's a cosmetic problem or the cone material has cracks in it. I left the vendor I bought it from a message so I'll probably hear from them tomorrow. Looks like I'll probably have to ship it back for another one:( Jeremy

I got the third sub this week and it is good. Wetsounds also sent me a set of RGB rings for my Rev 10s, a set of 6 wire quick disconnect connectors, a RGB controller, a grill for the XXX, and two shirts for my problems. Looks like my wife's bathroom remodel will be on hold while I install all the RGB stuff. I installed RGB XS 650s in the boat but was going to wait till later to hook up the LEDs since I was over budget and didn't have a controller or rings for the tower speakers.

I received the replacement and it is messed up too. Now I am waiting for the third one. This is taking way too long:(

I didn't know the img code from photo bucket doesn't work anymore. I bought the sub and other stuff from Odin at Earmark. I sent pics of the sub to Wetsounds yesterday and they said I had to ship it back to them at my cost. Then, they would look at it and verify my purchase and send another one to me. They wouldn't send me a shipping label to return the damaged sub. Everything I have ordered from Wetsounds and Earmark has taken 4 days to ship through UPS so I figured it would take at least a week and a half to swap out the sub. Odin responded to my email early this morning and said he would take care of it. He just said Wetsounds is going to ship me a new sub with a shipping label to return the damaged sub when I get the new one. He is covering the cost of the new sub and Wetsounds will credit him the cost when I ship my original sub back to Wetsounds. I really appreciate Odin's help with this issue. Now I will only have to wait for shipping one way and don't have to pay for shipping. Now, I need to figure out to post pictures again for the install thread. It's been awhile since I've been active here. Jeremy

How did the swap work out? Was it worth the effort? Jeremy

depth finder install

Your boat might already have the transducer installed. If it has one all you have to do is add the gauge into the dash and plug it in. -
Halloween costume surfing picture thread

If it's still warm enough after Halloween every one should post some pictures surfing in their costumes. The kids thought it was great when I dressed up like a pirate for the Show your Slash contest. It's a little tricky starting out with all the stuff. That parrot was hard to keep on my shoulder. The parrot looked pretty mangled up after this wreck. He didn't like the water. -

My four year old loves Lightning McQueen. He wanted him on his pumpkin this year. I made one of Mater too.

I think the tribal design should still be offered on new boats.

Just watched these again:)

Cool video. Makes me want to get a skim style board. I haven't even tried one yet.

Looks like it was fun. Which boats did you get a chance to ride behind? Did you get to try out a lot of different boards? Jeremy

Cool pictures, reminds me of when I lived in Phoenix.

This was my first 360. I always have to concentrate on keeping the board flat instead of carving up the wake as I start the rotation.

It would be cool if it lowered over the front to make a closed bow.

Bolt head in the bilge
Jeremy replied to Vwelker's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I also had a some of zip tie ends, screws and washers in my bilge. I didn't really worry about it but one day we loaded the boat on the trailer and I could hear a pump running. It was the bilge and wouldn't shut off. Luckily, I heard it so I killed the power with the breaker. At home in the driveway I found some cut off zip ties stuck in the bilge pump holding the float up. All that stuff washes to the back as the boat gets water in it on goes strait to the bilge area. I don't really blame anyone but from now on if I see something new that works it's way back there I take it out. -
Bolt head in the bilge
Jeremy replied to Vwelker's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I just changed my impeller out a few weeks ago and one of the bolts had broken off on the impeller housing. They have a 10 mm head. I got lucky and the threaded part spun out as I was drilling the broken off bolt out. Here is a pic to show you what ones I'm talking about.
