  1. Did you buy the new platform from your dealer or some other source?
  2. H......ran across this old thread and was wondering if you thought the swap of platforms was worth it on your old 226?
  3. I would agree that the trailer brake system probably needs to be looked at......you can try upgrading your rotors to a vented style and try a good quality "towing" brake pad. I tow my V226 with an Escalade with vented rotors and good Wagner pads. It has worked great for years!
  4. The biggest problem would come from the impeller in your fresh water pump........they don't tolerate running dry very long......just pull it out and check if it wore the edges. Chances are it is time to replace it anyway......lol
  5. Suckgate S238

Here is a view of the front listing!?
  6. To actually answer your question, plumb your Sumo fill off of your hard tank vent and vent Sumo with a check valve.....don't forget to add a check valve in the factory fill line in between the pump and the hard tank or all that water you pump into the tank and Sumo will gravity drain if you still have the factory tsunami pumps.
  7. H is the man on this subject......he is right for max usage of space pull the tank...... I have a 13 v226 and pulling tanks will be my winter project......right now I do have the 1000 lb Sumo sacs and I chose to add extra pumps to fill them. I decided to plumb a couple of 375 lb flyhigh bags that I already had into the hard tank lines and put them under the side seats. This way the fill time on Sumo sac and the hard tank with 375 sac are close to the same time. I add 375 lbs of tractor weights, yes I said tractor weights, against the stern wall of the surf side locker and have 150 lbs of lead in the bow center locker.....the wave is big and has good push with my normal small crew, but when I get a chance to get my big beer drinking buddy's out, that extra weight makes the wave epic!
  8. fisherman vs surfers!

We like to surf along the dam at our lake.....I try to be respectful if there are fisherman around and give them plenty of room, if someone is fishing the dam, we surf somewhere else.....every once in awhile someone will want to fish the rocks next to the damn when we were already surfing in that area..... they will pull up right in front of you then get pissed when our wave almost pushes them into the rocks.....I've gotten the finger and yelled at a couple of times.......I guess it's my job to get out of their way........I wish respect would go both ways!

  11. Does any know where I could get a "OE" style Bimini top for my 2013 V226. Been calling around and I haven't found anyone who can even tell me who originally built them. I believe the tower is an Extreme Illusion tower. I called XTP and they said they didn't know anything about the Bimini.
  12. For the record, I did find that a factory Bimini for a 2012/13 fourwinns H210 with the XTX cast Illusion tower fits perfectly except for the mounting brackets....... found mounting hardware on eBay for $60.......Great lakes boat covers makes the top. To be clear, it is not of the caliber of the Sewlong Bimini, but I'm only going to have $500 invested to use it a couple times a year.
  13. Supreme Font?

Think I could get it as well?
  14. Thanks H! I am going to call FlyHigh and see if they still offer that sack.......
  15. H, I have a 2013 v226. You removed the "Fly High standard" 1450 lb Enzo's? How much weight did you gain with custom bags? I might be interested depending on what you got!!!!!!!
  16. H, I know this is an old thread but I need a little help. I'm thinking about pulling hard tanks and going with Enzo's. I hear/read a lot of you guys talking about having custom Enzo's made......a few people mention that wakemakers is where the got their sacs. I called them the other day and asked if they've done Enzo's for a 226. The guy said he didn't think so.... ? Anyway, wouldnt Fly high or whom ever builds custom sacs, save the dimensions/patterns and use them for the next guy that wants the same thing????? Do I need to call Fly high directly? I'm looking for a little direction......
  17. Yep.....that does look nice......do they sew in surfboard sleeves like the z5 tops?
  18. Thanks Honeybadger........do you like your Bimini?
  19. Well I took five minutes to model a stinger trim plate.......I figure $60 in 3/16 stainless 15 minutes on the CNC plasma table, 15 minutes in deburr and polish, 5 minutes in the brake, and 15 minutes in mock-up clamp and mounting...........shop rate @ 150/hr. = about $200 to $225 project. I would start this project today if I had the material in house.....☹️ I am truly hoping it can help shove the bow down for a even longer wave! If NW's price is really 300 bucks, it isn't too bad of a deal.....and way less work.....lol
  20. Very nice! I was thinking about visiting a dealership and discretely measuring up and modeling the stinger to build one for myself.
  21. NW boats, are you guys building those stinger plates, or buying them from factory?
  22. Would the stinger mount up to my 2013 226 as well?
