  1. I have done a ton of research on buying a new boat if those are your options I would get the Moomba LSV. If you want to spend just a little bit more then the Centurion Avalanche would be your best bet.

There is nothing wrong with the Falcon or the Elite V, they are amazing boats but the LSV out-performs them for all watersports.

  2. I have surfed the:

Enzo 240 - talked enough about that, the BEST

Malibu 247 - Nice Wake - take a lot of weight about twice the amount as the Enzo give or take, wake is clean short and turns out quick with the wedge down, same but, longer with the wedge up, wake is mushy compared to the Enzo

Malibu 23lsv - Nice Wake - same as above less weight needed than the 247

Malibu VLX - Nice Wake - same as above less weight needed than the 23

Tige RZ2 - Nice Wake - doesn't take a lot of weight, similar to the Malibu wake

Tige RZ4 - OK Wake/least favorite - takes a ton of weight, similar to the Malibu wake

Hey WakeDoc, just curious where you would rank the SV230's surf wake in among those other boats.

  3. Every 20 hours seems pretty extreme. The standard for dino oil is 50 hours which is what my 2002 Supra has in its maintenance guide. I would bet that Mercruiser has done plenty of testing on oil and change intervals otherwise they would not recommend it and warranty the engine.

Oil change intervals are more about contaminants in the oil than the oil breaking down and synthetic oil takes a long time to break down. Airlines use full synthetic in their engines and the oil never gets changed. I am just wondering what synthetics are being used.

  4. Do you guys find that when you move up a few props (537-1579 or similar) that there is more wash on the surf wave? With the upgraded prop the rpm's are higher and throwing more water up the wake. Does this extra holeshot power not get the boat on plane sooner which works against what we want for surfing?

  5. This is my Supra SSV with 2500# of ballast, two ladies in the boat and a 200# guy on the rear corner. I would like as big or larger wake without having someone sit at the rear of the boat or the two extra fat sacs on the seats. If the SV230 with an enzo sac (and maybe a bow sac) is not a better wake I probably will not upgrade.

  6. I am considering upgrading my Supra to an Enzo SV230 with the main use of the boat being wakesurfing. The boat I am looking at has the 5 ballast system and a switchblade. The questions I have are:

can the swithblade be removed? If so, how do you plug the holes? I want to add an FAE to protect us from the CO emissions.

We only ride on the port side so I would replace the two hard tanks with an Enzo sac. Are there seperate in and out pumps for each hard tank? So the enzo sac would have two fill pumps and two empty pumps for quicker fill/empty times?

Does the bow sac have it's own pumps?

When surfing without the SB do you fill the ballast on the starboard side as well as the enzo sac and bow sac?

Can a hot/cold shower be added to these boats without too much hassle? Does Centurion sell the kit?

Here is my current wake, will an Enzo set up without the SB be better?

Thanks for your input and any other pertinent information would be great.
