What propeller is currently on the boat? The number will be stamped on the propeller near the shaft opening. Also, how much ballast do you run and what is your elevation?

Those are crazy good numbers!

All nice boats. If wakesurfing is the top priority then Centurion all the way. If wakeboarding is the top priority then not a Centurion.

FAE is a must have on any boat!?

We didn’t have a switchblade on our SV230 and it did not have a very clean wake board wake, especially at the lower speeds for kids and beginners. If wakeboarding was more important than surfing the Enzo, my current SV244 included, would not be my first choice.

Can you post up a couple pictures please.?

15 hours ago, HutchCanada said:Well folks - went by the local truck scale here in Canada today. Here are the weights. Boat had a 1/2 tank of fuel. No other crap on the boat like boards, PFDs, coolers, etc. Bimini top removed. Mooring cover on. Boat has all options except Quick Surf.
Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L crew cab with full tank of gas + '15 FS33 (1/2 tank gas) and Boatmate tandem axle trailer = 13000lbs
Dodge Ram 1500 5.7L crew cab with full tank of gas = 5852lbs
So 13000 - 5852 = 7148lbs actual towing weight
Actual "wet" boat weight 7148 - 1500 trailer = 5648lbs. Didn't weigh the trailer without the boat (!!!) so have to go with Boatmate's posted tandem axle trailer weight for the FS33.
There you have it - the actual "dry weight" of the FS33 is around 4600 lbs NOT 5400. Typically you add 20% to the dry weight to get actual weight. 4600 +20% = 5520lbs. My boat had just gone through a massive downpour so that could account for the extra weight. The FS33 DOES NOT have a dry weight of 5400 lbs as posted on many sites. Sorry Keef but your dealer was off by 800 lbs.
Your numbers are close to my 2014 SV244. There was no gear in the boat but with half a tank of gas and a little water left in one of the ballast bags, four Icon 8 tower speakers, 12" sub, etc. it was 7194#'s on the trailer.

We had a vibration in our Enzo a few years back and it was impossible to figure out until one day one of the blades on the propeller came off. Borrow a spare and see if it changes.

Upon closer inspection it looks like the shaft needs to be able to rotate in the copper clamp. I'm going to get a lock washer and nylon nut and see if that will hold it.

Interesting, the manual for my 2014 PCM409 says four quarts.

When pumping the oil out while on the lake I seem to get more oil out pumping from the dip stick tube than the drain tube. Not sure why but it always gets more out.

Love the graphics! I'm on a new TWP this year and it rocks too.

thank you
1000#'s of lead? wtf?
My SV244 only needs 400#'s due to always running a small crew.

Good to know, thanks. Mine is a 2014 and has the newer dipstick. I will pull some oil.
-
I just did a mid season oil change in my 409 and put half a litre of too much oil in. Any issues with this?
Its funny, my 4.0l V8 car engine requires nine litres of oil but the 6.0l V8 boat engine takes less than four.

2 hours ago, DjOM21 said:I would think Acme 1579 or 1619 is the best option as I believe the 13.5" diameter will be your limiting factor. The latter will have a lower pitch so theoretically should pull harder.
These two are great choices. We are at sea level and I really liked the 13.5" 5 blade prop. Can't remember the catalogue number but the rpms wakesurfing were a couple hundred lower than my 1579. If you get a 14" diameter propeller you risk some gel burn.
Just relooking at your elevation and also the switchblade and would suggest trying the 1619 first.

here the post with pictures of my flap

FiveBar2, I think my cats hydraulic arm finally broke today. Was driving along and bam, boat didn't track straight, steering didn't feel right. Swam under the boat and sure enough the fin was sideways. I had already ordered a new hydraulic ram so will install tomorrow. Any issues doing this with the boat on the lake?

I'll see if I can post some pictures up this weekend. They might already be on the site here somewhere too.

I put my 2014 SV244 on the scales as well and it was 7200#'s axles and tongue weight combined with full stereo, some gas but no gear.
-
I couldn't modify the shape of the down tube enough to make a difference on my single outlet exhaust so ended up adding a flap to knock down the spray. I still think that sloping the down tube back more would make a difference. That's how it was on my last two boats. On my current Enzo it basically slopes forward once the bow goes up which does not improve hydrodynamics.

I think I wore my booties once and hated them so haven't even considered them in years. Just doesn't feel right on the front traction pad.
Our first ride this season the water was 44 and it was cold on the bare feet.

What kind of rpm’s are you currently running? On my previous boat the Black Scorpion engine seemed to run most efficiently over 3000 rpms while surfing. I tried to run at lower rpm’s but the small block engine didn’t like being lugged around.
