When Nautiques started running 15" props they started having shaft failures. I thinks it's a torque issue.
-
16" of pitch is too much for a wake prop. It is only a cruiser prop. If you are at elevation or plan on loading your boat down with ballast you need less pitch.

We finally got out for the season. The water was 55'. The warmest we have seen it for the first of April.

Oogle is a good board to start on and to use as a boat board. Ask him if you can demo it.

FS 33 Prop test 1847 vs 1615
Dreamer replied to jester's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
The 1615 lengthened the port wake by 3.5'. I have to try that prop on my SV244! -

2012 Enzo 233 ballast upgrades
Dreamer replied to BigFoiz's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
You don't need bow weight just in the Enzo. Some use it for fine tuning but generally speaking it won't help. For the goofy side surfing you may not require water in the port QF, you'll have to play with that. You definitely have to get the sac under the starboard side seat full along with the rear locker sac. Speed between 10.8 and 11.5 mph. -
2012 Enzo 233 ballast upgrades
Dreamer replied to BigFoiz's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Try filling both QF, then both sacs on your surf side. Wake plate mostly up on port and mostly down for starboard riding. How big is your crew? If it's small you need an extra 400#'s of ballast/lead for a great wake. -
The customs are really nice boards (we have a few) but if it is a board that will be shared with friends and family durability will become an issue. If I was you I would look at the Inland Surfer line of boards. They have a good variety and they are plenty durable. Even the high end models. What is the weight range you are looking for?

The shape of your FAE down tube looks the same as an earlier version that I put on my SV244 and caused some spray issues.

I measured with my iPhone on our SV244 and it was about 12' of list.

April picture and video thread...
Dreamer replied to Dreamer's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
It's for my younger son and he drove that boat and didn't ride that day so not sure yet. My older guy and I rode it and it was fun but at 160lbs it is too big for us. -

Has anyone done this service (see pic below)? Any tips on unscrewing the housing? -
PCM409 thermostat cleaning
Dreamer replied to Dreamer's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I can see the screen in mine. Water doesn't flush through with much pressure as the thermostat is in the way. -
I just have one and hook it to a loop that stays on the tower tow hook. Yes, I leave it on if I'm towing with the cover on. Other wise the cover would be too loose for travel at highway speeds. I also put a fender on top of my engine cover to prop the cover up a little at the back to keep the water from pooling.

I have one. Best cover upgrade ever!

I'd say the thicker the better. -
Whats the best boat cover
Dreamer replied to CeeDee's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
I had an evolution cover for my last Enzo and it was pretty nice. You will have to spray it with 303 a couple times a year to keep all our rain out. I have a factory cover on my current Enzo. It is not a breathable fabric like what evolution uses so it does have condensation collect inside sometimes. I'm thinking of adding more vents to it. Which ever cover you get put one of these on: hang tyte.com It really helps keep the water out. -

If it's sunny Saturday I'll be pulling the boat from storage and getting her ready to ride the next sunny day. When are you going to start? -

We have 400#'s of lead (bags from leadwake) that we use when we have a light crew. 200#'s tucked tight in the back outside corner behind the pnp sac, 100#'s under the "ballast boy" seat and the last 100#'s on the floor to move about as required or just leave at the dock. -
Recommendation: fuel line is in the way of Enzo Sac
Dreamer replied to roadbkrkv1's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Put the fuel line over the enzo sac (up under the seating). Otherwise the sac won't drain as well. And if you don't have sideswipe exhaust get a custom sac that fills the entire rear locker. I had one in my SV230 and the total weight in sac was over 1800#'s. -
Recommendation: fuel line is in the way of Enzo Sac
Dreamer replied to roadbkrkv1's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
The fuel line hose was flexible so I unclamped it at the hull, cut it shorter so it was suspended 10-12" above the floor and reclamped it. The enzo sac ran underneath it. -

On my SV230 I shortened the hose so the sac could run underneath it. -

Riding in March, and with only shorts on, I wish. My boat should be coming out of storage in a couple of weeks but we will be in drysuits as the water will be 45' or so.
