  1. Running the wake plate down a little takes some of the spray off the top of the wake but I am not sure if it does anything else. I will try the 750# sac along the side seat pushed towards the back instead of across the back seat and see how it goes. Maybe I will bump up the speed a little as well.
  2. Cold Water Gear

Hey Roy, I tried out my O'Neill drysuit for the first time last week as well and it was awesome. The water here in Victoria was 58' and the air was 71' (I have not figured out how to change my gauge to metric). What were the temps in AB? I went without the booties and it was fine. WakeDiva, the neoprene booties are great. My wife loves them. It feels funny on the board at first but all of the surfers who ride on the ocean up north here swear by them.
  3. I checked my lugs and they were all in need of some tightening. They were not even tightened to 50 ft-lbs. I have two lugs on the same wheel that will not tighten any more, they just spin with the bolt. What is the remedy for that?
  4. I have noticed more wash on the center of the wake when I use a 14 pitch prop as compared to the 16 or 18 pitched prop. Higher rpm's equal more water being turned over.
  5. How much torque should we be tightening our wheels with? I can not seem to find anything in my manual.
  6. Tower Mirror

I have a samson mirror arm and really like it. It has a quick release so I can remove it when I travel. Check them out: www.samsonsports.com
  7. Evolution Tower?

If us evolution tower owners who live in the north want to "winterize" our towers how would be go about removing the water from the legs? I am thinking I should drill two very small holes at the base so it always drains itself. What do you think?
  8. Ok, that makes sense. I put hockey pucks in the four holes on my port side. I also added some silicone sealant as well. I like the idea of the extra vents on the transom, though I only plugged the vents on one side so there is still lots of air flow. I think I am getting water in the rear step vent on the port side when we slow down to pick up a fallen rider. I have the enzo sac and my rub rail is below the water line while standing still. The sac is larger in the rear locker than the standard enzo sac. The standard enzo sac if for sideswipe boats.
  9. Sorry Sporty, I meant the side air vents. I am currently plugging one side (port) so the water does not pour in when we surf. I like the idea of another vent high on the rear of the boat.
  10. Is that hole at the back of your transom for venting? What did you use to close the side vents?
  11. Did you get out on the weekend? How was the new prop?
  12. How close is that 13.7 to your hull? My 13.5" diameter runs between 3/4" and 1/2" gap to the hull. You are going to like the 15.5 pitch, it should be a nice balance between pulling power and cruising speed.
  13. Evolution Covers has made an SV230 cover with the tribal tower so they have all of the boat measurements. I just ordered a cover for my SV230 and I had to give them measurements for the evolution tower. Did they not send you a measurement sheet to fill out?
  14. I am going to try that this weekend. It should make a difference, but the pucks are staying in those port side holes.
  15. I spoke with someone at Mercruiser Marine and they said there is not minimum requirement for vent holes in the rear of the boat. The only specification they have is for the engine bay area. Boats engines are not in a sealed environment so there will always enough air to breathe. There only concern would be the engine temperature, but with fresh water cooling this should not be an issue.
  16. There are four 3" round holes on the starboard side rear vent to let air in, the rear step vents have large opening, not to mention all of the other areas that air can get into the engine compartment. The total square inches of openings of those four vent holes on the starboard side is greater than the size of the air intake on the engine so I doubt that it will not get enough air.
  17. My blower is on the starboard side and my rubrail is below the waterline when surfing with just an enzo sac (Wake Outlaws style). If I do not do anything the water just pours in.
  18. Yes I am, on the port side only.
  19. Evolution Tower Sleeves

I could use some sleeves for my tower. Do you have her number?
  20. The 537 will be a perfect spare. If you want I will trade you my 817 13.5x17.5 for your 537.
  21. I am not convinced that you need a wakeboard prop for wakesurfing. A prop like the 1579 would be great when you are heavily loaded and want to get on plane but those extra rpm's just add wash to your wake when surfing. From what I have read on the web the Inland Surfer guys are using the Acme 537 on their SV240. I would like to try one of them on my SV230 as I think it would be a nice comprimise between a wakeboard/high altitude prop and a cruiser prop.
  22. Exile XM7 speakers

I have a pair of these XM7 speakers on my evolution tower and was wondering if anyone has four on their evolution tower. If you do can you post up some pictures please. Thanks in advance. John
  23. Ok, I have my new enzo and it is amazing but I am having problems with the bimini. I got it on but it was very tight. It seemed like the stitches would tear apart in a short time. What is the best way to put the bimini on and will it (and how) stay on the tower when not in use? Pictures and instruction would be greatly appreciated.
  24. Kappsized, on your rear bimini legs do the little "feet" that connect to the tower mounts rotate? When storing the bimini there is no way that my rear legs will clip into the front tower legs without rotating the feet. The only problem is that they do not rotate. See previous pictures, there are either too far out or in depending in which way I flip the bimini.
  25. exhaust mod

These turn down pipes do not release the exhaust under the water the way an fae does. I have surfed behind a malibu with these tips and I could smell the exhaust while riding.
