Yes Bongo, that is my 233. I have honestly never been behind a boat with a better wave. Comparable, but not better. The regular side has a nice transition. Last summer I spent some tome with Brent Dorey and his FS233 and I thought is was very similar to my wake. The 233 is the best bang for the buck out there. Of course, your know that. I do not have the rear plug and play sacs because I did not want to lose the storage space. I have placed flat hard weight in both back corners and under the side seats. Port corner has about 275 and port side has 125 and 100 in the battery area. The ports side has about the same with the exception of the battery weight. I also have an extra 100lbs in front Set up regular with CATS and RamFil.............. Regular: port 100% and starboard 30% unless I have just two or three people and then I fill to 40%, I set CATS to 85% different number on newer models. Bow sac to 100% Goofy: Port 0% Starboard 100% Front 50% CATS set to 10

  3. Wanting to go bigger

I have heard that some Nautique dealers may take on the Supreme brand and not Centurion,
  4. Wanting to go bigger

I agree completely. To me there is something great about how the sv sits in the water. I can promise you that you can achieve a wold class wake on the 233. Riders have complimented me on my wake all the time. Storage can be an issue for some. I do not use pnp ballast and have elected to use hard weight in order to save my storage. I would like to see the new RI 217 in person at some point though.
  5. November pics and video 2015

I am having a gathering of Master's riders at my lake house in Florida this weekend and will post up spome pics next week. Last weekend the air was still upper 80's and water at 84.
  6. I am curious about the wave. Some pics show it super clean, especially on the goofy side, and other not so much. What was it like in person?
  7. First time surfing

A good wave is important but, a good board is equally important if not more so. P5 makes a great product in the USA
  8. Buyers can no longer choose where they buy their boat!

Let me clarify what I meant. Bad dealerships would suffer if customers went elsewhere and that meant losing market share and eventually lose the franchise. If customers bought regardless then I guess it helps that "bad" dealer.
  9. Buyers can no longer choose where they buy their boat!

This is certainly a hot topic and rightfully so. First of all, I am so pleased to have a great dealer in Transition Watersports. They are low pressure and customer oriented. I don't want to speak for them, but I am certain they would be happy to service any boat bought anywhere. It is just good business. Servicing someones boat develops a relationship and someday that person is likely to buy another boat and I would bet if a good relationship has been established, that buyer would consider them first. Having territories may be a way of weeding out bad dealerships, but it hurts the good one too.
  10. Using quick surf

Are you saying Sean was over the top with weight??? Imagine that!!!! haha
  11. That is great to hear. A great thing about his sport is the longevity and the family fun. I am 64 and still progressing. Just recently I can do 180 shuvs semi regularly and spins are nearly in the bank. Good luck!
  12. ri 237

I have not seen the final product, but got to set up the prototype for surfing. The boat had tons of promise and I am hearing it has met those lofty expectations. Fineline would not have announced the use of this boat at Worlds unless it was ready to. I am not a huge pickle-fork fan and I like the looks of this boat.
  13. Sometimes there is a limit to what a person will spend. Also, age is no barrier that I can see. I am 64 and doing pretty well. Anyway, my 233 wave is great. I have ridden in competitions behind and driven all the FS model boats and frankly my boat is not far off. Pro riders have been on my boat and love it. In a perfect world, I would buy an FS33, but the world is not perfect. Aesthetically, I like the low slung look of my boat as compared to the FS. It is just my preference. I have RamFil and CATS and have added about 800 lbs of hard weight throughout the boat, but I do not have plug and play. I ordered it that way because I did not want to lose the storage space.
  14. I am a big advocate of the SV233, but the goofy wake is better on the FS model boats. My is good, but not nearly as good as clean as the regular side. The 233 is sleeker in the water than its FS counterparts, because it sets lower in the water. If I can be of further assistance, let me know.
  15. Using quick surf

I surfed Sean Cummings FS33 with quick surf during the Wake Shredder Throwdown and the oush was great. I understand he had a lot of extra weight in though.
  16. Most likely they need a change of impellers.
  17. loading boat on trailer

If I was needing the boat to help push then I would wait till it came out of the water. A second or two would be ok.
  18. loading boat on trailer

I belonged to a club that had a very steep ramp. The only thing different from suggestions from above is the potential need to have someone in the boat with the boat running and give it some forward propulsion to help get it out of the water.
  19. Whenever I have had that odd stubborn stain that seems to come from nowhere I resort to a more abrasive cleaner like the magic eraser or even soft scrub. When done, thoroughly rinse with water and then I clean again with a vinyl specific cleaner. Sometimes you do what you have to do.
  20. Wave Ratings

I basically said this on the wake world blog. They are trying to make something appear to be objective when it is clearly subjective. There are too many variables to do so. The best part of Surf Fest as I see it would be to see all the boats at one time and to see the fit and finish and maybe how they ride. I know I like the look of some boats and not of some others although both may be great boats. It is just my preference. When you go to an event like this, you narrow down you selection and then take a personalized demo ride and see for yourself.
  21. I have an sv233, different boat same concept though. I do not like giving up my locker space. The rear lockers is where we keep the life vests and I store an assorted number. I have added 6-700 lbs of hard weight throughout the boat. this is in the form of weight plates like you have in a weight lifting set. I have placed a bag over them and then wrapped in waterproof duct tape. the nice thing about these weights is their thickness. The can lie flat easily and in the case of my 233 I can add some in the tiny space under the seats and on top of RamFil.
  22. Need help with Surf set up

I am not too familiar with the 210, but in general the way to increase length is to add bow weight, trim down and go a bit faster or any combination of these.
  23. Good riding! Don't relax too much when you finish the 3. Regain the surf position earlier and you won't have to work to recover.
  24. How many hours?

    300 or so per year.
  25. If you forget to put in the drain plug the bilge will kick in right away!
