So it’s about that time that I need to replace the steering cable for my ‘99 Bowrider. Gonna do the job myself. I tried finding a part number for it but couldn’t. Anyone able to help? Thanks!

I’m pretty new to the forum here, so I’m not sure if this is the right place to be posting this. The other day I noticed that the fuel vent cap on my boat was missing, and it leaked tons of gas because of it. Was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a replacement, as I’ve looked for hours without finding anything. I’ll attach a pic if it helps. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Is it safe to jump start a boat battery?

It has a new battery btw, if that helps.

I took the boat to the shop last week and the mechanic replaced the fuel pump. Once the boat fired up, he said that the Alternator was louder than it should be and might be getting ready to fail. Is it safe for me to take it out on the lake? I don't want to mess anything else up. Thanks.
