I will have the surfer ear logo on my boat and rig this summer. will have a pair to check out if anyone sees me at lake berryessa or sonoma or maybe even bongos stomping grounds clear lake . they are pretty advanced these days , not like the ones your dad wore . cheers

We usually hit steel park but had troubles at the end of the season because of water levels. We usually stay north depending on wind because it is usually uncrowded , when the wind is up we head towards the dam and the fingers as there is usually some sort of smooth water. My wife gets nervous around a lot of boats, so i try and please her so she will drive lol.

most now are vented so you can still hear. or yes it would be an issue

Hi jake, I trailer to berryessa as well. i live in sonoma and have always had the tower up and i have 2 sets of speakers. everything has always been ship shape . i do use speaker socks to keep dirt off speakers as well i run mud flaps to keep rocks and pebbles to a minimum. maybe i will see you there, i have a black, white and silver metal flake avalanche.

I as well replaced mine with PSS. You can try re- greasing existing dripless. You will need a grease gun and recommend putting an extension hose on it and the hard part is removing vent screw. I also bought the retaining collar with my PSS ,it helped with install and achieving proper compression on bellows . I think I wrote about it earlier. Make sure to use marine grease if you try to regrease. It is a great feeling not to have water leaking into boat,so it is worth the trouble,expense. Good luck .

I had some issues with mine. A person saw that the module was mounted close to my sub and head unit,they advised that there may be interference with electronics so I moved it farther away and it seems to be OK.

I dig the footage of the back side surfing .surfing backside is so much fun. not much footage of guys riding backside ,good stuff

I just looked at some pictures and it looks like he notched his trim plate , cut an area out in the middle so blade retracts all the way.

we are getting bomb with rain right now in sonoma co. Hoping berryessa is going to benefit. its been creeping up but nothing substantial.

This year i purchased a west marine dehumidifier. It has been running for 3 months now and it is doing a great job. I also use the damp rid type containers. I believe a little prep goes along way .mine is under a 2 sided carport next to my house with cover and an additional white tarp. block the trailer and cover the wheels with contractor grade trash bags to keep dry,tape exhaust flaps and shut off all water inlets to keep any little critters out. as well, i make sure speakers have the socks on and wrap top of tower with extra sheet or blanket just to keep tarp from rubbing. all gear is usually stored outside of boat and i usually remove and cover seats and store in observers locker. the dehumidifier is pretty cool , no moisture so far and it actually gives off a little heat to keep everything somewhat warm. Boats were made for outdoor activity i don't think keeping a boat outside is the end of the world. If i had my way i would have all my toys in the living room,but i don't think my wife would be so happy, its enough that our house is littered with skateboards , surfboards ,drums etc... if it is not dinged or scratched your not using it right.

i chose a centurion because of the ics construction for one, other boats i owned were very uncomfortable at the end of the day when the wind would come up driving through chop, very solid feeling and as well when weighted boat does not seem to flex like others. But first and foremost was the wake , not much detail goes into getting a decent wave or wake, also they look good on the water, very different than other boats , nice gel colors and patterns, no bu styling that has been copied by mb and other companies. I like them , but thats me. good luck

Nice truck Troy, I am thinking about getting an f150 again, it was one of my favorite trucks. I like my f250 , but the thing is like a tank sometimes. Forget about making u turns. Does the 2 wd have more towing capacity than a 4x4? I think they do. Cheers

I tried to pass on a picture of the new surf blade by switch blade. Did not download I guess but is out now.

sq tube od = 2 1/2 in sq tube length = 15 in pole length = 41in but yours maybe longer. about 3-4 inches above rub rail. abs sleeve and pad will be longer about 48 inches. pole od= 1 7/8 pole degrees = 10 to 12 degrees on my trailer it looks like the sq tube is notched to except round pole . bottom of pole is flush with bottom of sq tubing. Does anyone see an issue with electrolysis or corrosion using brass and galvanized pipe together ? maybe it is not an issue since it is not sea water , not sure . hope someone can shed light on this or maybe it is a stupid question but maybe not. I ask because i have the parts and ready to do it as well.
