  1. cool video, I would love to visit that lake one day. I always see lake powell in wakeboarding videos but you never see any houses on the lake? I have seen some pretty nice three story houseboats though!
  2. Thanks for all the positive comments! I wasn't sure if posting the boat on every website would scare people away. My reasoning behind this is because if I see a car, truck or boat posted on multiple websites it makes me think someone is trying to get rid of it before if breaks. I really do need to sell the boat because the payment is killing me. There isn't anything wrong with the boat and I don't want people to think there is. I will do some research and think about lowering my price it’s just so hard when you paid so much for it just two years ago. I haven't seen any other 2009 centurions with the same amount of hours so it’s hard to price. I really like "Lake Surfer’s" comments about pricing because this is completely true. There was a couple looking at boats one day at CBK Watersports and one of the guys called asking if I could take 36k for the boat. I’m guessing this was all they could afford to pay for a boat. They ended up getting another used boat for a cheaper price. If you were looking to buy this boat what would you pay for it? Don't worry you won’t offend me I’m just trying to get everyone's input to generate more interest. Thanks so much, Joe Randall
  3. I realize that it's the wrong time to sell a boat but in a month or so I think people will start looking. I have my 2009 centurion avalanche c4 posted on the classifieds section but; I'm wondering if I should also use some other websites? Has anyone had any luck with "onlyinboards.com" or "boattrader.com"? Where did you look for boats for sale before you bought your current one? Any input would be appreciated.
  4. Last year all I did to ensure the water wouldn’t freeze was made sure the ballast tanks were empty. Then removed the ballast pump filter and dumped it out. I hit all three switches one more time to ensure the lines were empty. I then removed the blue plugs and put a splice in my heater hose going to the front of the boat. I used a rag and an air compressor to push the water out of the block and heater core. Everything worked fine except it’s hard to remember where all the plugs go at the beginning of the summer. I guess you could really replace the plugs after you drain everything. This process seems to take a lot of time and this year I think I’m going to try the antifreeze route. In fact I’m searching for the instructions now for that process and just stumbled upon this thread. Cheers, Joe Randall
  5. I had this same problem. (09 centurion avalanche) the boat was wired with two batteries for some reason it was not charging one of them. I went to one battery and everything works perfectly. When I get some extra money I’m going to get a battery switch and re-install the second battery. I still have problems when running the heater, three ballast pumps, stereo and lights at the same time. I wonder if you could get an alternator that would charge more than a factory on like you can for a car or maybe a perko battery switch would fix the problem.
  6. Hey what’s going on? What I would like to find is a way to make the stereo mute to a reasonable volume when the boat is slowing down to pick up a fallen rider. I have a 09 avi with a MB court head unit, pioneer amps, wet sound pro 60's and a factory skylon 10". I realize that pushing the pause button on the stereo will mute the volume but I would like to just drive the boat and not have to mess with it. I usually just hook the input cable to my iPod and let it play. There has to be some kind of wind noise activated switch or maybe even rpm. The only reason I say this is because a lot of your bmw's will change the volume of the radio to cover wind noise when the windows are down. Just wondering if anyone has any mods available threw radio shack or even something you could buy designed for this application. Any input will be appreciated! Thanks, Joe Randall
  7. no 4/1/10 jokes here that's really from a helium wakeboarding rope.
  8. I had a motorcycle wreck when I was 15 and my hand got stuck in the chain. That was fun also.
  9. I have an 09 avi if you need pictures of the factory heater i will be glad to take them for you.
  10. Thanks for the help because of your pictures I was able to figure out what was wrong with my boat. After having the boat in my garage all winter the weekend to drag it out has finally come. This has been a rather hard winter and the next few days it’s supposed to be in the 70's and 80's. I put all my blue drain plugs back in (so I thought), put my tower back on, re-installed the batteries and filled the gas tank. When I took the boat to the lake I left it on the trailer for a few mins because I was going to be very suppressed if I didn't forget to do something. I have a flush kit installed in my heater hose and no water was coming out so I knew something was wrong. When the exhaust manifolds became hot and began to smell I shut the engine off and started looking for a reason for no cooling water. The engine temp gauge came up to 160 and never got any hotter although the exhaust was not getting cooling water for sure. After shutting the engine off I could hear water running into the boat from around the sea water pump area and began feeling abound. I asked a friend to start the boat and realized that the leak became worse when the engine was running. I thought yep, my impeller if messed up for sure now (second year of ownership). I did not install the blue plugs on the starboard side I had a friend do that because last year I cut my thumb off in a wakeboarding rope. This makes turning bolts and things hard with my right hand. Anyways, I should probably change my sea water impeller anyways and after looking at your pictures I’m about 99% sure that there is only one plug in my water pump housing causing my leak. I want to thank you for your write up and the pictures! WARNING: the two photos to the left are graphic in nature, CrewAdmin
