Dirty Maybone

Just to make sure I understand.... I want the wakeboat to be tied well but have the rope with slack??? When docking I have been taught to tie it tight to the dock. Is this a bad practice?

My friends and I are renting a houseboat May 9-13 at Lake Powell. We are taking our 2013 Elite C4 to surf and explore. I have heard many stories about crazy wind storms erupting and causing havoc. My biggest fear is that our baby (Elite C4) will be damaged. None of us have any experience with anchoring. I have done some research and I decided to go with a box anchor made by slide anchors. I got the small one rated for boats 18'-30'. Will this be enough? I was doing some research online and saw two separate diagrams one illustrated 2 box anchors attached to the bow making a Y shape. Another showed 2 box anchors linked together with a few feet of line in between them. I also bought the Shore Spike by Anchor Buddy for other uses and the bungee anchor line. Can someone please give me any tips for anchoring our baby. Nothing would ruin a trip more that hull damage.

The photos show them mounted on the side of the tower... I suppose they could be mounted to the top and work just as well??? (excuse my ignorance, I am not mechanically savvy).

I just got my new Elite C4 with the Gladiator 2 tower and I am interested in adding some tower lights but I have not found much on the web. Does anyone know of any good sights that would carry accessories for the Gladiator 2? Any suggestions for good, durable, long lasting lights?

I live in Idaho and I am planning on going to Lake Powell in May. It is a 10 hour trek and I want to protect the hull of my Elite C4 from rock chips ect. Any suggestions?

Why are they shifting around? I had an '07 Elite and did not notice any shift in the seats but now I am wondering if this is something that happens over time... if so could it be prevented????
