Total newbie looking for help!
Nick213 replied to chksda's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Nice! The wave looked dialed in the add. Hope they cleaned the bags up before it left though. Edit: Looking at the pics again, not just the bags..... hope they fine tuned the detail work in general. Not a bad deal even if not though. -

Nice job, wish I was comfortable doing my own maintenance on my boat. -

Sand/polish metal flake gelcoat?
Nick213 replied to InfinitySurf's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
That is what I use for wax twice a year. Then I use boat candy products to clean after every use. -

I have used it on all my boats and the gelcoats have all been pristine. -

Just get a can of TR3 and wax the boat in the spring and fall with it. During the season use babes, boat candy, 303, or what ever brand you prefer to clean after every outing and your boat will be in top notch shape years on end. -
We'll Jake I can go on and on about the racks your talking about but I'll get on topic here. Looks like I'll be saving a few racks and going with my third choice and get another set of Samsung board racks. The factory swivel racks have become slightly corroded and the pins don't work so well anymore and that is the reason for replacing them. I'm sick of the bunggie coards and that was why I was wanting to spend the extra cash for clamping racks. Since there's no mounts available for the preferred triton or pcm racks for my tower I'll be going back with samsong racks. There good racks. I was just hoping to not deal with bungee coards anymore.

I'm posting this because I'd really like to get these racks but they do not have a mount for a gladiator tower yet. I spoke to Roswell marine today and if they get a high enough demand to produce a mount for the gladiator tower they might start design on them. So if anyone with a gladiator tower is interested in these racks let me know! https://www.roswellmarine.com/product/triton-strapless-board-rack/

Adding ballast to my 07 typhoon
Nick213 replied to Dan gib's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
They will fit, I had them in my avy. -
If the tower could handle it I'd have 6 but I've heard that the tower can't so I'm not gonna risk having another broken tower. Plus there's no replacement if this one dose brake.

That won't work because I'm adding another pair of rev10's.

CenturionCrew Spare tire cover?
Nick213 replied to InfinitySurf's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I got one back when I had my DD and my avy had the same size tire so I kept it and put it on it. When I bought my 244 it had one so I let the first one go with the boat. What size tire do you have, I'll sell you mine but since it's the only one on the market it'll be yours for a premium price. -
We'll Nate, Board racks aren't what they used to be, any quality rack cost "racks" these days. My thought with my next set is NO MORE bungee cords. I can get a set Samson board racks again for the cost of a triton. I would have gotten them already if it wasn't for the mount not being available for my tower. PTM clamping board racks are my second choice but there not any cheaper. https://www.wakemakers.com/ptm-edge-clamp-force-board-racks.html?547=29954&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzcyR9vf72QIVXLnACh2QbQ6JEAQYASABEgLGaPD_BwE

Ahh and I forgot..... Storing indoors is always preferred but if you winterize and have a quality cover you'll be all good. This is how I store my boat -

There's a huge difference in a 21' boat and a 23'+ boat. That depends on how many people you plan to have out on a regular bases. IMO if your planning on only having 3-4 people most the time 21' is fine. Any more then that it gets cramped real quick. 2014 was a great year for supreme but I'd never consider buying a boat sight unseen. That's just me because TRUST me pictures never tell all and some people (even dealers) don't either. I personally think 75k OTD would be my max on the 16 233. Others will chime in soon and give there option and I'm eager to hear what they think! At the end of last summer I got my 13 SV244 for 60k. It's a 13 so no ramfill or cats but everything else is pretty much the same till the end of the SV model. -

That's a great boat and not bad on the price, if you can get it OTD for 68-70 that's pretty good in my opinion. -
X2 on the Danik hook, since I got that my anchor line hasn't had a single knot tied on it and can be easily adjusted on the fly. Money well spent on both the anchor and hook!

What's your go to lake? I had a avy C4 that I played with ballast in and had 1100's in the rear lockers, a 580 under port bench and 400 in starboard bench with 400# of lead. In your walk threw you might need a exposed bag in the walk threw and one in that locker to even weight the boat. Depending on what prop you have you might need to get a different prop after adding all your ballast. I know I had to even at sea level.
