Broken Swim Platform Brackets
chadr replied to Idaho Mike's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Bought the brackets from Boardco. I have someone going to pick them up and deliver them to me so it saved me the shipping, but they ran $360 plus tax. I am going to have them this weekend, but we have a planned trip to Powell the weekend of the 21st so I need to get this busted out quickly. -
Broken Swim Platform Brackets

I am checking into the price of the brackets today. I will let you know. My shop told me it would be 2-3 hours at $90 per hour so I am looking at the area between $200 and $300 to have them welded up. I am thinking I am going to go with the new brackets because of peace of mind. I hate the thought that I am going to go back there and keep checking the welds every time I look at the swim platform. -

So I went to a local welding shop and got their opinion on the matter. He suggested having them weld the brackets and strengthening it before going with the new style. His reasoning is that the mounting brackets that hold them on could potentially leak if not sealed up correctly which I could see being a problem. My issue is he still wants to charge me $250+ or more for the job and then if it still doesn't work, then I have to go get the new brackets. Do I go with the new style or have them try? -
2008 Enzo 240 - Cabin Lights Burned out

I don't know what happened, but the post that Volzalum referred to is the original and this one is a duplicate for some reason. -
2008 Enzo 240 - Cabin Lights Burned out
chadr posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
I don't boat at night much, but when I have tested by lights inside my boat, they are all burned out. I tested them and they have voltage, but from what I can tell, they are a sealed light fixture. Has anyone bought new lights to replace their existing lights? Are they marine rated? What should I be looking for? Also, I know when I bought the boat, there was lights behind the centurion logo in the cup holder area. How does one access the lights to change them out? The only thing I can think of is to remove all ballast sacks/tanks and crawl up inside and see if I can somehow get my arm up there to release it. There isn't any screws on the plate that would allow me to access it that I can see. What has anyone else done to replace these? Are they supposed to be marine rated also? Thanks for all of your help. -

Have you tried to tighten the ram at the point where the top joins the shaft? I have a single shaft hydraulic ram and it was leaking like yours is. I had to tighten mine and it stopped leaking. I also had to check the amount of fluid in the reservoir to make sure it was full afterward from what had leaked out.- 2 replies

We rode on a Supra SE a couple of years back and we were pleasantly surprised with the wave, fit and finish, and overall appearance! My son even said when he was old enough to own one, he was buying a Supra! He was 10 so I don't know if I will have one in the garage very soon or not. What does it have under the hood? Raptor 575 hp?

Help me set my 08 sv230 up please! (Surf)
chadr replied to Nick610s's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Your Stock tanks (if they are the rectangular tanks like mine were) are only about 225 lbs each. Do as @Rhale stated and trash the whole stock setup and add a ton of weight. You will love it listed! It grows on you! Here is my build! -
Carbon fiber vents for Enzo

The only place I could find them was on Bakesonline.com. They are $500 there. http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=3271 -
I'm excited for you and @surf moocher to hit Powell together!!! You may move from Texas to Utah once you go there!!! Officially since you are USM certified, you would fit right in!

Anything yet Shaka? I took a few pics of what mine are looking like right now. Dark side is definitely worse on my boat because it doesn't get used as much on that side!!! -
Are these DarksideR ridden, test flown and approved?

Boat Shopping - $85K budget

Before I purchased my Enzo, I was going to pull the trigger on an MB Sport B-52. We actually have two right now in the family and they throw an impressive wave without a lot of tweaking involved. Some people don't like the captains area and I admit that it could be better, but interior and upholstery are holding up well to the rigors of use! I wouldn't count one out if I was looking again. -

If it hadn't been run then you are probably ok, but I would get a spare and store it in the boat! Or you could replace it and keep the old one as a spare on the boat also. -
She could have ripped your shorts off like that!!! That would have been quite the proposal pic!

Need replacement ballast valves
chadr replied to Etz's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Here is my post on what I did. http://www.centurioncrew.com/index.php?/topic/9914-Ballast-Build---2008-Enzo-SV-240---It-Begins I had 5 tanks and 5 switches along with two ballast puppy pumps. You could modify yours pretty easily though with a little work. -

So you only have 2 valves? How are your switches set up? -
Falcon v prop replacement.
chadr replied to Dizzle's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
A lot of it depends on your elevation. If you are at sea level, 857 is probably fine, but those of us that are up a bit higher have gone to the 1579 as Dreamer stated. -

chadr replied to Etz's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Do they look like sprinkler valves? If so, Tear them out and get rid of them! How many ballast puppy pumps do yo have and how many tanks do you fill? Going direct to the tanks is the best option right from the puppy! Let us know a bit more about your setup and we can chime in on what we have done! -

Any Pics of what they did to yours? I just looked at mine and found hairline fractures on my vertical welds. I am going to have to take them in to get them fixed soon! PM me if you want to just email me! -
That's a good point! Make sure it has the 409!
