  1. Love it on our 33, the exhaust was pretty bad before I put it on.
  2. Sorry I'm late to the party, I've been out of the game this winter getting some good medical upgrades. Yes I've done this. I found that the stock screws they want you to use were a no bueno and snapped off, but I think Larry has redesigned it a bit since I installed mine 2 years ago. I ended up drilling out the holes and bolting it on, then covered everything in 5200. The hardest part with bolting it on is getting to where the bolts come through on the inside, you need to be a contortionist to reach the back of the transom. You'll also need to move the clamps on the exhaust a couple of inches close to the engine to make room for the nuts. The support piece on the pipe bolts to a screw hole on the wakeplate.
  3. My best January photo:
  4. Hull Blisters on fs33

I have the same boat as you. On LKA we wet slip and in Annapolis it sits on a lift. I haven't seen any blistering. Did you get it from Lake Country? Should still be covered by warranty.
  5. Were you on the hot side? I think we had some ice around the boathouse with the water so low and the marathon cold.
  6. New FI23 or used RI237

Man I wish I could predict lottery numbers as well as I predicted this conversation.
  7. We recently moved to deeper surfable water on the bay, so we've been spending more time in the brackish water versus the fresh lake water. After poking around West Marine yesterday I noticed an aisle full of anodes. Is anyone here running anodes on the rudder, prop shaft or tabs? I was thinking of four aluminum anodes, one for the rudder, and one for each tab. My 409 already has one internally and it will be changed out during winterization this year. Any good recommendations or thoughts? Dr Nate? Rhunt? You guys run in salt, right?
  8. Thanks! So the question is, do you keep the boat in the water? Lift? Or in and out on the trailer? I keep mine on a lift over brackish water. After every outing it is flushed, hosed down, washed with soap, and rinsed off. Was talking to some locals and their thought was that the anodes would be overkill for this scenario, that I would need them more if it was wet slipped. It's been on the lift all summer and I don't see any noticeable issues. I guess I could put one on the prop shaft and see what it looks like after a year.
  9. I have the QS tabs on my 15 FS33, and we never really use them unless screwing around with transfers. You'll make a wayyyy bigger wave with listing.
  10. H is right about the gates depending on your build date, you may already have the newer valterra valves, they switched in 2015 from the drainmasters. If you see a silver handle, you already have the upgrades valterras Here is what I’m dealing with:
  11. Found the leak, both ram fills are leaking at the joints:
  12. Thanks!! The error code happens only once a month or so and only stays on the screen for about 5 seconds then goes away. I'll try to grab a photo if it does it this weekend.
  13. Electric blanket over the engine works like a champ as well. My father-in-law just hangs a drop light with like a 100w bulb in it in the engine bay of his sea ray, it puts off a good amount of heat.
  14. It is bluetooth. CMS2: http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products-personal/marine/CMS2/index.html
  15. I need that tower! 6'4" and I take a speaker to the head EVERY SINGLE TIME we're out
  16. The problem I have with in front of the driver is visibility. My mirror takes up the entire space. So, how many times have you all caught a fin to the forehead, or is your crew all <5ft tall?? ;-)
  17. I had that mirror and swapped it out for a 180 degree mirror. I played around with everywhere and the best I could come up with was the walkthrough. We leave the glass shut and the dam out and get plenty of air flow: I use the PTM mount for the mirror: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C9V1RJG
  18. We mainly rely on night vision, turning off all forward lights. If it is too dark for that I use the docking lights. But if it's that dark anything you see you're not going to have a whole lot of time to react to anyway. So we stick to one specific channel of the lake that we know blindfolded
  19. I have the rigid dually's like you Nick. When in the water point them directly at your face when standing on the swim platform. When listed and surfing they'll point at the water right in front of the surfer without blinding them. The people in the back seat are a different story though... I like the one forward and one backward, may have to copy that!! Also, I highly recommend these, they take the blinding edge off of the lights: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0068C2IIQ
  20. Thanks! Assuming under the boat and on the transom, right? Or is there somewhere else I should be looking?
  21. rear seat redo

The newer boats have seadek under the rear corners and then you pull the seat up when people are getting in and out
  22. Thanks! It may not be my problem, I know exactly what you're talking about and I haven't seen a leak there. I have a really small leak somewhere that only shows it's head when wet-slipping the boat at the lake. Every morning when we first set out, the bilge will run for 15-30 seconds when we're filling ballast. I added a sea strainer and flush kit which leaked before, but they both appear to be dry. This winter I'm ripping it all out and doing a hard PVC line that has the strainer, check valve, and t for the flush to eliminate the multiple clamps I have. Hopefully that is the issue.
  23. I'm thinking I'm in the same boat... I'm getting a drip somewhere. I've checked all the usual suspects and can't find any issues. Where do you see your drip coming from?
  24. So what I sold you was only a two fin setup. If you go with 4 you'll need to get 2 more. But at least you're halfway there!
