best place to order boat registrations letters?
DaveO replied to Kevin Baugh's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I think I would order from Domednumbers.com -
That looks like a scene from The Hangover part 2. Even the boat looks the same color I think!

If your coming to the island you should try and get up to sproat as well

Now that's impressive! I used to be able to do that on my jet ski back in the day -
What is the best battery for my 2010 Enzo 230
DaveO replied to silversurfer 230Enzo's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I had Interstate in my last boat and when it's time to replace these ones I'll go with Interstate again -
Cooling system help
DaveO replied to bcollins's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
Also you might have to leave your fake-a-lake on and hooked up to the hose to keep the water you fill the cooling hose with from running out -
Cooling system help
DaveO replied to bcollins's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I would take off the hose at the thermostat housing and fill it with the garden hose to try and prime the cooling system.i don't know if it could have an air lock kind of thing going on? -
Feed and return for heater?
DaveO replied to Totalperformance's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
If you go to heatercraft.com they have an installation guide that says it doesn't matter which way the water flows through the heater core. If I remember I think one hose comes from the top of the intake manifold and the other to the engine water pump. There should be some 1/2" pipe plugs in around those 2 locations that you remove and thread in your heater hose nipples. -
Look at the prop. It will have it stamped into the hub

Are you freaking kidding me?

Also don't forget that all these materials have to be transported to the factory.........higher fuel prices -
I didn't want to post this but....
DaveO replied to dezul's topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
It is more than likely the battery. The best way to test a battery is to load test it and to do that you need to have the proper equipment. Any automotive shop should have a load tester for a battery. Also a trickle charger really doesn't put out enough amperage to charge the battery if it is down much. -
Congrats First timer! Nothing beats a day on the boat with your family. Good times are coming!

just took my cover off the boat

When ever I store my boat for winter or even during the week in the summer I always put a couple of driz-air containers in it to absorb any moisture and keep any mildew from forming -
I'm sorry but ...... I prefer the other side of the wake!

DaveO replied to rammer998's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I bet alot of dealers are pretty conservative on how many boats they keep on the show room floor after everything went for a dive a few years ago -

I'm glad I waited to 2012 to buy my 2010 from this same dealer! I originally was looking at used boats in the 40-50k range and ended up with a brand new boat instead. -
Malibu's are a luxurious boat but the do not produce the surf wave like a centurion or tige. My buddy has a 2010 vlx and it's not even close to an avalanche or Enzo wake but it's sure got a nice interior

It can be frustrating finding and having to repair a lot of small issue's. But when you do get out to the lake you know everything has been serviced and will not be a problem down the road and spoil your summer. It will be worth it.

I don't think the key will come out the back. You want the key to stay in the slot in the shaft to remove the prop. Maybe try a pin punch and tap the key back into position. It's possible the key is damaged and causing the prop to hang up on it. Hope this helps!
-
The only thing I can think of is to check the key. The hub of the prop has a brass key that is1/4"x1/4"x1" aprox. That could be stopping the prop from coming off

Checking Transmission Fluid
DaveO replied to Troy. R's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
It's best to check it when the boat is in the water and warmed up. Have your boat idle in gear and check the level. -
Rudder on an 06 Lightning

The outer housing of the cable should have the length stamped right into it
