  1. Same here, if not too late. We would like (1) men's XL, and (1) woman's L please.
  2. We will be bringing a Phase 5 Model X I think it is 4'10", and a Triple X Slasher 4'8"
  3. Mancho, you need to bring that Triple X Slasher board. I was about to buy it before you swooped it up. Sure would like to surf it to rub in what I missed. The wife has the same board at 4'8", I bet your 5'0 would be peeerfect!! for my 200 pounds.
  4. Okay I can't think much anyway. Booked our room. They said half are gone, 8 rooms left. Looking forward to another Great Weekend!!
  5. Hey WakeDiva, Cindy and I are thinking about driving down again this year.
  6. Hey guys, next project is a system upgrade for the old AVY. This is an area that I am not real comfortable with and when it comes to series/parallel, wire etc. I go brain dead. I also know that there is a wealth of knowledge out there and a lot of experience on how best to do things. I Replaced 4 in boats with Polk DB650's (I have another set that I am contemplating adding as well l) and kept the head unit a Clarion DXZ 375MP. I already have a 2 battery set up. I have a set of REV 10's for the tower that I will power with a ARC KS 300.4 amp., a 10" TREO TSX SUB, and ported box. A SYN 6 amp for the in boats and sub, and a WS 420 to run it through. I have been informed how to wire the HU to the WS 420 to the amps with the RCA's. I will use the existing power wiring for 1 amp and can wire the second amp no problem. I also understand the wiring of the REV 10's to the ARC amp. Here are my questions. 1. Mounting the 10" sub box. The Avy has the wedge hump, I don't want to cut the whole thing out, so I cut out 11" to the floor on the front, on top and about half of the back and it fits in there pretty flush. I can put foam down the bottom to brace it but not sure about the strength of bracing it to the remaining hump. Has anyone else done this and if so how did you secure the sub box? Or should I cut the whole hump out and do something different? 2. I am powering the in boats and the sub with a SYN 6. I know how to wire the 2 OHM sub on channels 5 and 6, but not sure about the 4 in boats. Is the 4 channels of the SYN 6 too much? 1 channel per speaker? If I add the 3rd set of Polk's how would that change my wiring. 3. Should I use different wiring for the in boats? Or is the factory OK? 4. Upgrading the tower wires, The existing tower plug looks to use smaller wire (like a trailer hitch) does that impede the performance? I see no need to remover the tower so I could do without the plug. Thanks for any help
  7. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

All Done. Thanks Guys!! Yall have been a great help. I ran 4 gauge to each amp direct to the 2nd battery. No switch, 100 amp fuse on the ARC, and 150 amp fuse to the syn6. Also used a relay for the 3 remotes to be safe. Sounds great and I am fully pleased with only one concern. When using the aux input from my Head Unit or the WS 420 aux the volume drops way down. I am afraid I, or someone in the boat will switch back to the radio or a CD and blow the speakers. Is that normal? I never noticed the dropoff before. Did I do something wrong, or is it my phone Galaxy 3 playing Pandora.
  8. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

Do I not need like a 100 to 150 amp fuse in the power wire from the battery?
  9. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

OH I may not have been clear on the power wires. I have run an additional set so I will have a direct to the 2nd battery for each amp. Thanks
  10. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

Great info guys. I have all the wires run (it was a bear to get the tower 12 gauge wires through the small opening on the base of the tower). Sub brace in, and amps all wired (speakers). I have 3 new questions, if I may. 1. The old Kicker Amp had 40amp AGU fuse/holder. I have a additional 100 amp ANL fuse and holder that was given to me for the ARC KS 300.4 amp. I would like to use the old power wires used to power the Kicker amp. What amp fuse is required for the SYN6 (can't find anywhere) and how large of AGU fuse can I get if needed? I am sure the 40 amp is not large enough. 2. The remote wire. Can I splice the 3 wires needed for the WS 420, and the 2 amps directly into the head unit (Clarion DXZ 375MP) or should I do a relay. The current system has a switch that powers the HU off and on. I have heard more than 3 requires a relay, don't want to blow the HU circuit. Separate wires for each amp? or 1 wire between? 3. The power wires for the WS 420, can I splice into the same power wires for the HU? Thanks again for all of the help.
  11. CRAIGSLIST FINDS

Hey, does anybody know what the name of the tower is on this boat in Atlanta?
  12. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

Yes vinyl up, and the pre cuts below. Not able to get the 12 gauge wire through the bottom tower bracket so gonna use another plug. I always thought that you were only as good as your weakest link and the plug is definitely smaller wire. Thanks for all the info and the vote of confidence on the sub. Really frustrated trying to pull the wires through the tower bracket.
  13. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

Pre Cut holes?? Is there something up and behind the side seats near the cup holders. The other set of speakers are up in the bow.
  14. Stereo System Upgrade on 2006 AVY

Thanks Guys for the quick response !! 1. there are several ways to go about it. Is it a regular non coated MDF box off a shelf or did you coat it somehow to make it somewhat marine tolerable? The Ported Box was made by Scream Marine in Dallas, it was prebuilt, so it is well built, sealed, and coated. In RE to question # 2): The Syn-6 is only stable down to a 4 ohm bridged load. Is your sub-woofer a 2 ohm dual voice coil wires in series? 2 OHM Dual. I think I am to bridge 5 and 6 and run a wire between of + and - on the sub. #4) Same as with the in-boats. Age, size and condition are factors. For the Rev-10 on the Arc 300.2, 14ga wire is minimum, 12ga is a step up. I have new 12 gauge wire for the tower. just wondering if the plug lowers the quality. If not I will splice in the plug. If it does I will just wire direct. I would like to add the 3rd pair of in boats in the main cabin,1 in the foot plate next to the sub facing the rear and the other under the back seat facing forward. The other two are under the side seats facing inward. I know that this isn't optimal but I don't know how to get them up above the seats.
  15. The best thing I saw all weekend, pumping gas Saturday morning, I look up, a guy walks out of the store and gets on a riding lawn mower, starts it up, drives off, hooks a right out of the parking lot, the whole time while this is going on WakeDiva is in the store with my phone (so I thought) is in her bag, can't find the camera in the boat, go to the truck and there is my phone charging, grab it and snap the following photo hard to see but, he is heading down the highway towards the Trinty River bridge in the back ground. I saw that guy that morning as well. He was actually coming from the other side of the gas station (from the camp side). So he wasn't just tooling down to the station to get gas. He was passing through and cruising somewhere.
  16. Great Job Nathan!! You went right to work with your new toy. Next year I think we should have a rope tieing contest
  17. Whoops, I see that my wife has now joined and didn't realize I had responded on her sign on above.
  18. Along with the Triple X Nitro, I have my Phase Five Model X we will be bringing
  19. Funny thing when I responded that my wife and I were coming. Duramat made a comment about "don't put any boards in the bow they will blow up", and I would assume that something happened last year as Darksider also commented. Started to say something then but.....How did they know???? At the beginning of summer, for some boneheaded reason I laid my wife's brand new Triple X Nitro 4'8" just like the one above in the bottom of the boat. Not on the water, but while on the trailer towing it to the lake. Going down the highway at 60 MPH I saw a flash of red in the rear view mirror. I was hoping it was a towel but I knew better. I immediately turned around, my wife was in tears as this was the 2nd day for the board, and she had fallen in love with it already. There was already a guy in a mini van picking it up. I was expecting the worse being one of those fragile boards and all. To my amazement it was scuffed along the one edge but did not break through. It looks like crap but works great and we have been using it all summer. Was hoping they would be down for the CCC Weekend because I would love to try a 5'0 slayer for myself. The 4'8" is a bit small for me. Looking forward to trying a few boards, and showing my wifes Little Red Nitro and how it survived stupidity. Isn't it amazing how humbling owning a boat can make you. But what I realy want to know is how did Duramat (his comment) and Triple X (red Nitro) know???
  20. Just booked a room for the wife and I, and a 06 Avy. We are coming from the DFW area and should be there by Friday 1:00PM. Will have plenty of room for others.
  21. Phase 5 Trident

I just bought the Model X, what is the scoop on it? I am 6' and 210 pounds, just started surfing last year and was expecting miracles on it from my Liquid Force Fish (now boat board). Tried it on Saturday and it seemed to pearl on me a lot. I am sure I just need to adjust coming from the LF. I saw my wife strugle a little when she got the XXX, now she does pretty good. Is this a good board for my size, being a hybrid I thought it might be good for both worlds.
