Which trim tab actuator?
grandpa replied to Troy. R's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
In the process of installing mine today. Thanks Kriss and Dura this thing looks awesome!! I can see how the extra 20 pounds of the plate alone is going to help lol. I have a question for you guys out there with the adjustable plates. I have only the fixed plate currently. What is the reason, or is there ever a time where you adjust your plate up past level or flat. Obviously this mod is to push down on the prop wash to get it away from the curl on the goofy side. But is there a reason or need to have it go up past flat? Just thinking about where I want to mount the Lenco to the plate to be most effective with the travel. Kriss has it going 2 inches down and 1.75 up. Back in the day I would need to trim up the old 15' Baja V hull to get the nose up and out of the water to go fast, but I don't see going 85 mph in this boat, and could only think it would porpoise at the speeds we travel. When do yall use your plate in the up position and how much do you really need to go? If it is to get the rear end to squat (if it does that), I think I can do that with my ballast. -

Summerization time! OUch still sore

The rubber ones will still rub and catch. My driveway is so steep I still drag the trailer, even with a lowered hitch. -

Hey Mancho, I noticed you are working out on the street. If it is because of those metal wheels off of the back of the trailer scraping your driveway, cut em off. I got tired of them scraping everywhere I went, and couldn't get up my driveway. I know you keep your boat on the lake but just a suggestion. -

Does it work that way, or is it the opposite?? Kinda like in a plane with a tail or head wind. Ground speed and air speed. I dunno?? -
PERFECT PASS GAUGE REPLACEMENT
grandpa replied to CDABOAT's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Hey CDABOAT, the Centurion Store has the GPS upgrade and gauge for $688. You will also save big on shipping, as Stargazer is coming out of Canada. Might check with admin on what kind of deal they can get on just the gauge. I would be interested in just a gauge myself. -

Ballast Version 2
grandpa replied to Troy's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Troy, I have a 06 Avy pretty much like yours. We met a while back on Eagle Mountain Lake. If I remember correctly you still like to do a good deal of wakeboarding, so I am sure you will still need to pump in the port side some. Do you still have the original Jabsco feeding the sprinkler valves that leads to what used to be the port, starboard, and center tanks? If so you can buy another switch and convert that to run both in and out. I would get rid of the sprinkler valves and the aerator pumps, they are slow and a pain in my opinion. You can definitely run the Jabsco and Johnson pumps on their sides. I also agree that you should vent to the other side. If you need any help give me a shout, adding this stuff is pretty plug and play once you get past the freaky part of drilling holes. -

You can count me in. This is definitely on the top of my list for winter upgrades. I am very interested on the best way, and best plate to improve the goofy side. -

FAE install
grandpa replied to kylesullens's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Hey Mancho, I never run the SideSwipe exhaust on the surfers side, unless I forget to switch over. I think that would defeat the purpose. Those fumes would be right in your face that way. I think the water might mask the smell but CO2 is odorless and I would think still there. I think the FAE masks the smell as well, and the CO2 is still there, just pushed down and comes up in the wash behind the surfer. That is just my thoughts on the CO2 and FAE, I am definitely no expert. -

Hey CDABOAT, was that you on Lake Grapevine on Tuesday. I saw a Centurion trailer that looks like yours at the ramp and couldn't believe you could get in and out of there with the lake level. I have been staying away from that lake so curious about the conditions? I PMed you. Mancho has been talking about meeting up out there soon. -
