  1. Update,,,, I ordered a new shaft and installed it. I pulled the old shaft right out I didn't take any alleys out. I was told there was some by a mechanic but did not see any. Plus the shaft just slipped right out. Did I damage something or maybe the brand I have does not have the Allen screws? Took it out last weekend both days and it rides smooth and shifts from drive to reverse really smooth. Pretty sure the shaft coupler bolts were loose since day one because it would has make a noise when shifting like it would have to catch. All good now and I hope I can save someone some trouble down the road by checking there bolts.
  2. We were heading in from a cool memorial weekend camping trip. A buddy was finishing tying down the ice chest on the swim deck as he dropped a strap I hit he reverse and heard a clunk and then there was no reverse or forward. Ripped it apart last Monday. To find the shaft coupler bolts were gone and the coupler mangled. I seen oil below on the engine compartment floor below the coupling. What had happened was the bolts must have loosened up and when I hit reverse the shaft broke them and caused the coupler to put a hole into the V drive housing. Check these bolts guys. The bolts that bolt shaft to the v drive I emailed Walter and have all parts on order. Not crazy expensive but not what I wanted to do on these hot weekends. Anyone know what will happen if I pull my shaft out to make sure it's not bent? It's got the shaft seal that doesn't need to be greased. I don't want to pull it out and pinch a seal or something.
  3. FAE? Is the the timing hard to set in a 2007 Black Scorpion? Also engine alignment? how and what do you go off of?
  4. Still have no idea. I am not getting this stuff haha. Can you take a pic and point where the screens are.
  5. Well the merc one is $50 retail and I heard the AC is only $20.
  6. My mechanic said there is an AC Delco Fuel filter that is the same as the merc one. Anyone know a part number? Save me from taking my old one off and going to the autoparts store blind..... Black Scorpion 330
  7. Great news... Hey where is this tranny cooler screen you speak of??? haha I have the same motor and have done the impeller and always thought there was a screen to catch all the crap in the water. It makes me nervous because my mechanic said there were some over heat codes showing on my motor which I know it has never over heated....
  8. good 6x9s?

Hertz 6x9's- I have four in the boat and they are not even the good ones. They sound great and people always ask what speakers they are. I have four Hertz and 6 JL tower speakers. I usually can get away with running just the inside speakers because they sound so good. Just my 2 cents...
  9. Magic eraser for sure. Also bring a small bucket of warm water, better break down. I have a new client at my job who is a detailer. He has all kinds of tricks for vinyl, gel coat water spots. I cant wait to share the secrets.
  10. There is a box of four fuses right next to the 50amp breaker check the fuses and the breaker. The breaker has a yellow lever under it make sure it is up. if that doesnt work check your relays. starter and fuel pump are the same so just switch them. But it probably wouldnt crank if it was the relays.
  11. OK, power to coil, check. power to dist. cap, check power coming from dist cap to wires, no check. The cap was green and corroded so we took sand paper to it to clean it up. put it back together and nothing again. I dont know what to do at this point. I do have an appt. this wednesday to drop it off. I just dont want the problem to be something stupid. My dad still thinks something is going on bad with the 15 amp fuse that has 12v on both sides.
  12. Could the motor be dieseling on the starter fluid? I mean it was running like crap just like it was getting forced to turn over. I think it is the coil. I have the coil pack out and now just need to find out how to test it. My buddy bench tested it but the wires melted before he could check for spark. Either something is shorted in the coil or this online manual we used is wrong on how to test the coil....
  13. Might be your cap and rotor. My boat is currently down, 2007 and the I cracked the cap off and it was green as if is was not sealed or just from the normal wear and tear from a marine environment. New cap and wires and plugs are my next service for sure after I figure what is wrong with my boat.
