Just a suggestion but it sounds like the IAC is only a $40 part that's easily replaced and eventually goes out regardless so might be your best interest to change that out now anyway. Not sure how easy it is launching your boat or if you plan on spending the day on the water Saturday or not. Just wouldn't want you to loose another Saturday on the water, if planned that way, if avoidable now.

My lake is a 40 minute drive away and even then I wouldn't take it all the way out there just for a test, Id rather plan a day out of it

Thanks. I did take it out on Saturday. It was still cutting out. Its not so bad you can't drive the boat, you just have to be aware of it. I am going to replace the IAC and the throttle position sensor next. I know its probably not the TPS but I'll have it off and the boat is 12 years old so why not?

I doubt its the rotor or cap, that will make it knock but not quit. Mine used to do the same thing when I first got it and I cleaned the throttle body with throttle body cleaner and its never done it since. Remove your air cleaner/spark arrestor and spray and wipe in there. If that doesn't cure it its probably your IAC valve

Thanks. I did that and am charging both batteries. I also inspected and adjusted the throttle linkage. I'm going to take it out Saturday, if it is still doing it I will check the IAC valve.

  3. Bought a 1973 Larson 1700 Shark when I was 17. Great boat. Never had an issue on the water. Then got a 2001 Monterey 190 LS. Terrible boat. Nothing but issues on the water including catching on fire once. Then got a 1993 Centurion Falcon XP DD. Great boat. Never had an issue on the water. I currently have a 2005 Centurion Avalance Storm III. Have not had a chance to take it out yet but I am very excited.

  4. Daz. I've actually wanted one of those for a while or the Chevy Kodiak. The one I posted was more of a sarcastic post. Especially if you start to read the description and look at how much he wants for it.

  5. If you are like me and change your impeller every year and try to save the previous year's as a spare. I found a tool that pulls the old one out in a second without damaging it. I use the spring tool for a two-stroke exhaust header. I would imagine a lot of you guys probably have one. Just push through turn and pull. I used the fmf one. Just thought I'd share.
