  1. I'm thinking that before I did anything else, I'd get the center tab added to the boat. I think there is someone making a center asymmetric tab with integrated Surf Pipe/FAE on one of the forums. I'll try and find you a link.
  2. Very Curious about this, not once have I ever felt my Teak Deck was slippery. Nice fix though!
  3. Got a couple of these racks myself, absolutely LOVE them!
  4. ...An Ri257 on the trailer!. My goodness that is an amazingly large boat!. I'm 5'10" and never felt smaller. I do think my '04 Supreme V220 would fit INSIDE of the Ri257!!!
  5. Finally got to see...

Chowder, I've got Gas money for you whenever you are going out next!
  6. Finally got to see...

I don't know all the details, and I don't know if the boats were all "topped off" with fuel before we started. The day started around 9am, and the fuel issue was round four pm. First the FS33 ran out of fuel, then the Fi23 that went to rescue them ran out of fuel, and then the Ri towed both of them in? Or The Hyperlite G23 towed both of them in. There are pics out there of both the G23 and the Ri leading the pack. Was pretty cute though, all the little duckies in a row :-)
  7. Finally got to see...

Yea you SCORED for sure. We only got to go out on three as there were some *ahem* technical difficulties later in the day. Too bad you didn't get a chance to ride the Axis A24. Interior of the boat is a joke but the wave was pretty darn good for a surfgate wave. Serious height and volume, and a nice mellow shape with tons of room to play on. Really wish I could have Tried the Fi or Ri too, but maybe ignorance is bliss!!!!
  8. Finally got to see...

Yea, no worries! I was in Group 9 (got their late due to a wreck on the Altamont) and we only got to ride the A24, the FS33 Party Boat, and the Red/Black G23. Really was looking forward to riding the Ri and the Fi, until the wind got nutty and people started forgetting boats need fuel . As I had the little one with me, we hightailed it back to the Best Western after we got off the water for some sleep, then came back in the morning and the 3 boats I mainly wanted to try were either leaving or left, so we bailed! Hope you got out again on Sunday. - Eric Silva
  9. Again, IMHO if you are wakeboarding, it takes a lot of speed to clean up the S238 wake and the wake is wide. I don't have much experience with that model, but it was difficult on the S226. Also, due to the deep V hull it will be more sensitive with weight side to side to clean it up. You're going to need to demo and find out. Are you on Facebook? If you are, join the MB Boat owners group and I'm sure you can get some other ideas for your current boat. Also, you can always add the trim plate. Not sure how much it'd cost, but it'd be cheaper than a new boat!
  10. Mfaso: MB Is a super small builder compared to Mastercraft, Nautique, Fineline, Malibu, Skiiers' Choice, etc. They're built a few towns north of where Fineline's HQ in Merced is. Most Mastercrafts have crap waves as well. The X23 is the only decent one I've ridden, plus most dealers have zero idea how to set their boats up. I hate to say it but a lot of times I see the "no push from my wave, my wave isn't that big" or whatever from people and they post a video, often times they are a crap surfer who hasn't figured out how it works, have no idea how to pump, are riding the wrong board for their weight, or expect the factory ballast to be all they need to surf with the big dogs. That's where passionate owners, knowledgeable dealers, and forums like this can really help someone get the most out of their boat.
  11. Out of curiosity, why do you want to get rid of the MB? In my opinion it is one of the best surf waves ever. I know new boat fever is a thing, but when you're starting up towards the upper echelons of things, the "much better" isn't going to be that much imho. Next time you head out try this for weighting: "full stock surf side, half to three quart stock non surf side, 1100 gravity games long almost full from rear locker to under surf side seats, easy peavy when it's plumbed" Use the trim tab to clean it up a bit, should give you a longer wave! Can always go for a demo ride on one of the new boats, and see if it is for you or not. Maybe someone in your area has one that has a properly set up boat and can show you what's what!
  12. new board advice

    Nice! Love the smile
  13. Fi23 first impressions

Great review, thanks for taking the time to write it up! I'm guessing that the hinges were placed on the front of the storage compartments so that they were more easily accessible from the engine cover side, plus it allows them to put a beefier hinge on there.
  14. Fi rumors

Was wondering that as well, perhaps they open up in such a way that you can fish a board down into them? Would be a hell of a great place to store boards, for sure.
  15. Fi rumors

Does it have a clean wakeboard wake at lower speeds, say around 18-19. That's what I want to know.
  16. Fi rumors

Looks like the PCM H6DI puts out 450 HP / 465 TQ now? http://www.pcmengines.com/engines/hyperformance-six/
  17. 257 is officially on order!

Chowder I WILL be taking you up on that offer! Will need to know what brand of beer you like though!
  18. 257 is officially on order!

Chowder, can we be best friends??? :-)
  19. To each their own, I'm more about SPEED than just pushing a button and waiting. :-)
  20. Just reinforce the divider. It doesn't take much in cost or time and the peace of mind is WELL worth it! If it was me and I was in the same place you were, I'd go with the SUMO MAX 1000 bag and their throw over pump for filling/emptying. The bag is only 10$ more than the 850, and you don't have to fill it all the way. Plus that Sumo Max pump is AWESOME. It'd fill so much faster than using a ballast puppy or other reversible. And, in a pinch you can drain any bilge water in an emergency!
  21. V220 questions

As a V220 owner myself, the V220 CAN throw a decent surf wave, for a flat bottomed boat. There are a couple of things working against it being a simple drop in. First of all, the boat likes weight. The factory hard tanks are a joke and should be removed. At the very least you'll have an easier time maintaining the boat, changing the impeller, etc. With the factory tanks out you can run a 750 bag in the rears, and actually have some storage when they are empty. I run an integrated bow sac U bag up front, a tube sac under the left hand side seats, and the wave is decent. Not like the new surf boats, and not as good as some of the big deep vee bottom boats, but workable for what it is. I also have a couple of lead bags I move around accordingly. Some people have had what looks like to be some success with a "suck gate" but my last two attempts have just broken off and sunk. The boat is also pretty small feeling inside as many have only L seating and not full wraparound like newer boats. Luckily for me the previous owner had a cooler/seat fabricated. That being said, the boat is a JOY to drive and handles like a sports car. Has a great wake unweighted and weighted for wakeboarding, and even the 315 MAG moves it along very nicely! If all you do is surf, I think you'd be better off spending the money on an Avy.
  22. Storage in 226?

Going to hijack this thread but why are you thinking of switching to the Supreme from the Mojo? Mojo is on my short list of boats to demo when the time comes. Thanks, Eric
  23. 2nd on the ACME 911. This prop is a beast out of the hole. Don't care much to go over 35 mph in the boat so don't know about top speed.
  24. mlajeunesse: ReSession had a V220, which is more similar to your V208 than too many others in older Supreme lineup. I've also got a V220 and my setup is as follows: Pulled factory small ballast tanks and re-did engine dividers, allowing to fit FlyHigh 750's FlyHi Bow bag under seats Zero counter weight except the extra items (tube, life jackets, etc) that won't fit in the compartment with the sac. 2 Leadwake.com 55 lb bags for balancing. If you can , get everyone to sit on the driver side of the boat, or at least in the center. There's not a lot of extra room in the V208 as the seating isn't truly "Wrap Around" so you may be able to add a Flyhigh "Fat Brick" behind the drivers seat, or order extra leadwake.com bags. This should get the boat leaning pretty good, and will get you very close to the rub rail. As you know our boats are a good 10"-12" narrower than a lot of the newer boats, and have a pretty flat transom. Which is why our wakeboard wakes are killer. I've worked a bit on fabricating a "surfgate" type thing, but haven't done any in water testing yet.
  25. Buyers can no longer choose where they buy their boat!

Fineline if you are reading this, shame on you. You have to know that not ALL dealers are good ones and often times there are quite a few more bad ones. When people are buying a LUXURY good they want to choose WHO they spend their money with.
