  1. I am getting the faded gelcoat buffed on the rear of my 2005 Avalanche. It has raised letter stick on graphics of a big CENTURION with something like WORLD CLASS SKI BOATS in smaller letters under it. The gelcoat guy says he cant get the gelcoat buffed around the letters perfectly and if we take them off you will be able to see where they were because that gelcoat has never been exposed. Is there any way to get the EXACT same graphics so I can take them off and buff it then put new ones back on so it all looks the same?
  2. Thanks Kevin! Definitely going with that gps unit. Problem solved.
  3. Can you get a faria speedometer guage to work off of a perfectpass gps upgrade?
  4. No idea. Paddlwheel looks fine but no signal to perfect pass or speedo.
  5. Thanks! It was going inand out over the past year. The boat lives on a lift and is never trailered. It is hooked up to the faria guage and the perfectpass controller.
  6. The gps upgrade is nice......but I would like for my speedometer to work too. It is definitely the paddlewheel assembly because my perfect pass doesnt work either.
  7. I have a 2005 Avalanche and I need a new speedometer paddlewheel/temperature unit. My local dealer closed. I was hoping to find one online but I cannot find anything that matches with the information printed on my unit. Can someone post a link to where I can buy what I need please? Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Sounds like a plan. I will update this when I do it in early spring. Thanks so much for the responses guys.
  9. I figured it was a grounding issue too. Told the marina that and they just looked at me like I was stupid. It is a 2005 Avalanche. Maybe I will just run a new ground wire straight to the battery from the gauges and see what that does. I am capable of doing it all just super busy right now. You just cant get good help these days. LOL
  10. I think I have multiple issues going on. The first is that my speedometer keeps going in and out. I suspect that the paddlewheel assembly is going bad because it also affects my perfect pass. My main problem is that all of my other main guages are not working except for the fuel level. I get nothing on the voltmeter and the tachometer just floats all over the place as innacurate as can be. I had my local mercruiser certified marina check it out and they are telling me that I don't have individual guages as it seems I do and that the entire cluster is one unit and I will have to contact Centurion about getting it replaced or repaired. Does that make sense to anyone? Are they correct? Advice?
  11. The boat lives on a lift at the lake so highway spinning the paddlewheel is not a problem. The paddle wheel spins fine and all the connections are good as far as I can tell. I did accidentaly hit the extra grounding wire on the battery to the positive terminal with the main ground wire on the battery and it sparked. Maybe that damaged something? I have seen several others with the same issues after searching old posts but no one seems to answer them. There was something posted about a possible lifetime warranty on the guages through Centurion on certain models but no more information than that. Any info or recommendations appreciated.
  12. 2005 Avalanche. Speedometer and battery voltage went out last year. The speedometer magically fixed itself after I bought an GPS upgrade kit for my perfect pass. Sold the upgrade kit for a couple hundred less than I paid using this forum. This year the speedometer is not working again, battery voltage still not working, and now the tachometer is floating all over the place at random. Is this a grounding problem? I would appreciate any ideas or recommendations on what to check to fix the problem. I may buy the perfect pass upgrade again and just forget about the guages but if anybody has some ideas for me to try first I am all ears. Of course I would prefer that my gauges work. Help a brother out?
  13. Too bad my dealer closed. I'll search for a new one. Thanks guys.
  14. Call Acme and or OJ Props. They will tell you what you need.
  15. Thanks for the reply. Is that $315 each? Do you know where to find them?
