  1. 2013 Enzo SV230+ vs 2011 a22 vandal

third season in an SV 230+ same year. Coming from '03 Avy. Ran my Avy listed old school and had great years surfing on it. Enzo wave way meatier and more push. I've run it listed and suck gate with great results. Put GSA on it and after a few initial hiccups got it dailed in and absolutely love it. I love the full rear sunpad and I don't mind the generous bow area which others seem to dislike. It is a sleek low profile back end but going from a slammed listed Avy it is easy to drive even for my wife and kids. 343 PCM has been solid with over 500 hours. I have FAE and A plate. Goofy wave is killer. Drainmaster vs Valterra valves are your biggest headache most likely but there are solutions. It wouldn't discourage me from purchasing it again. We only surf no wakeboard. I punctured all the tubes when my kids hit their teens.
  2. You are correct my man! I did not even notice that. What a goofy design. Anyway good luck!! pic#2 tower end pic#3 bimini end
  3. First pic overall length including end caps Second pic bend position from “T” end third pic length black piece sits from tower end fourth pic length of black piece to “T” end fifth pic size of black piece last pic length pole sits in T piece hope this helps
  4. Just saying nowadays pretty tuff to find a good surf wave below 30K. I had my Avy for almost 10 seasons. Plenty of love and upgrades (and hours north of 1K) but ended up selling for only $4K less than I purchased her for-and it was still an awesome boat. I'll always love that girl...
  5. Sorry for the delay. My goofy wave is awesome with GSA and A-plate. I also have FAE with no interfering spray. Again I do not run a switchblade. I wouldn't be afraid of removing it if you don't like the results. These hulls throw great waves
  6. my '13 230+ has 1100's in rear lockers that we think fill to about 1000. Not sure if same as yours. Love my GSA system. We don't have blade. List slightly to surf side still so carbon fiber vents are nice
  7. Thanks Kiwi, no problem. I was a little concerned about Bongo's description of fit issues, so I grabbed a new valve from drain master. Boat just turned 500 hours and I believe this is the third valve on that side. Lower profile valve than previous without the manual plunger section. Existing hose worked but not a lot of extra room. All in all pretty easy swap. I know what you mean by "flanges" now. I mounted it tilted toward the engine compartment but no issue at all with locker bags. Same red key from hell. I can show pics if anyone interested.
  8. Thanks Infinity! Yes I've seen that post and great video! WETSU's boat is actually my boat now since I purchased from Steve a couple summers ago. I actually thought at the time I bought it that he had switched out to Valterra's but that was my mistake as coming from my prior Avy I really wasn't aware of the valve issues with QF. Also kicking myself for not reading up on them until now. No idea I should be lubricating them I'm also not aware if I have a trailer mode. I am like Bongo and fortunate to live on the lake so I keep her on a lift. Guess I might want to open them before I turn the battery off for the night? Not sure what boat Kiwi042 has. Looking at Cdifranco's and Rhunt's pics I'm guessing I will run into the need for longer coupling hose. I will likely go the route of Rhunt as he always does such quality work and seemed genuinely pleased with no report of his boat sinking due to hose failure. I can only find 3 foot sections of the Flexfab online so I guess I'll have a bit extra lying around if anyone needs some...
  9. reading past posts I am a little concerned as Bongo Fury had some issues with the Valterra fit and went back to Drainmaster units. His year is same as mine (2013) but Rhunt's is 2014 so not totally sure if same dimensions in the transom. If Rhunt is happy with his install I would gladly go his route. Not sure if the SV 211 install is apples to apples re: the hose connectors. Assuming you used the existing hardware although I know it was a few years back. Thanks for your help
  10. when I used suck gate as high and far back as the curve on the hull would permit I didn't use a ton of bow weight, maybe 200-240# of lead at the most. My wave seemed to do best with a touch of list to the surf side. Basically filled all my PNP and Pro bags (I have the SV 230+ so my mid boat bags are smaller than the SV233)
  11. also wondering if mounting position tilted towards the engine compartment solves the fat sac issue
  12. I have a 2013 SV230+ with quick fill. Looking to swap drainmasters for these and was reading Rhunt's mod with interest. Not sure what you meant by It sounds like you're referring to something other than the silicone hose coupling he used? Any info or experience would be appreciated. Would love to hear if others that swapped used his hose or solved the issue another way...
  13. Great 4th of July weekend...EXCEPT Tonight took my 2013 SV230+ out for a twilight surf. Turned 500 hours today! PCM 343. Loaded the bags while idling along, hit the throttle and almost immediately buzzer started sounding. Put the boat in neutral, got back to home screen, saw check engine light on, opened hatch and oil was everywhere. Actually everywhere in front half of engine compartment. Shut the engine off, called my neighbor who towed me back to our slip. By the time I was back on the lift, pretty dark, and I don't really know the first thing I'm looking for, but I didn't see anything that looked crazy abnormal besides oil everywhere. No dealer in VT, going to call my service guy tomorrow, just thought I would check to see if those more knowledgable could share their impressions. I know essentially nothing about engines. Thanks in advance for any help...

  15. if they are Faria call the company they offer replacements for a reasonable price
  16. 2010 ENZO SV240 vs 2012 SV230

can't help you; love my '13 SV230+ I don't wakeboard, exclusively surf; I've never been in a 240 but I'm assuming no replacement for displacement and greater interior room. Make sure the options on the '10 are what you want and you're not selling yourself short with mods you will want down the road
  17. Follow Dreamer's advice! Other posts show avy owner's suckgate set up as: 1100 lbs surf side 8-900 lbs non-surf side 450 lbs bow full center tank
  18. Duffy did this a decade ago on his '03 with aerator pumps. I remember because I was thinking of doing this on mine. Pictures not available since it's archived material but maybe this helps

  20. Nice work! Many thanks. BTW they really make your dining room pop! Bet the wife loves them there
  21. Hein, you are a beast! Well done, sir! Can't wait to see what's in store next...
  22. super write up! Thanks a bunch for doing that. They look spectacular! Can u shoot a pic of the tape job? Trying to picture in my head as mine is in storage. I guess I was thinking they would mount with a milder, non-permanent, marine adhesive
