  1. Head unit delete. What to do withholes left behind?

True, any update on the PXM-2? Installed any more? Seems like it would be a great replacement for the disappointing black box/remote in my malibu.
  2. Head unit delete. What to do withholes left behind?

I like the 4x4v preouts but my inner DIY stereo guy says that's a waste because my EQ only has one input. This is an EQ alternative but will it also have the ability to EQ (beyond bass/treble tone controls)?
  3. http://goldcountry.craigslist.org/boa/5194113525.html I know I know... you didn't ask about MB. But just throwing it out there if you didn't know that one could be in your price range. The 21s surf pretty well, but you will absolutely need to install a trim tab. There are many DIYs on the MB site about how to do that and the cost is about $350.
  4. your mailman is going to hate you!
  5. Soulcraft fin setups

different than the MB, and better appointed for sure. May be for sale in the next week or so though. We are moving and it's about 10" too big to fit in the garage. Looking to roll back to a T22.
  6. Soulcraft fin setups

Rode my wife's 4'3" emily this weekend and really liked it. Easy to air out and it didn't pearl at all. I'm at 170lbs and it rode a little "skimmier" than my 4'7" fangtail because it's much less buoyant. Easy to drive the rail into the wave. Made 3 transfers in one set on my not-a-fineline-product, which is a personal record for me. Glad I came across this thread or else I never would've even tried it.
  7. consider exorcizing the demons instead of exercising them. You don't need to make them any stronger!
  8. Soulcraft fin setups

Dark what do you weigh? I really like my fang, which I've only ever ridden as a twinzer. This thread has inspired me to remove my nubster fins next time out. My wife on the other hand hates her emily. She is small (110ish) and the board rides her more than she rides it. My 145lb very athletic son can ride the emily like a champ. I've never tried riding it at 170, but maybe I should?
  9. Hey dark, regarding the prop... amongst many many other inboard brands, which are all going to more aggro weight and (and props), the 2079 is somewhat desirable (still a bit weaksauce being only 14.5" vs. 15" but I understand Centurions won't accomodate 15" props). I'd think you'd have no trouble selling it or even trading outright for something less aggressive to a Malibu, Axis, Nautique, Supra, etc owner. EDIT: Actually there was a centurion guy in Utah on here in the last couple of weeks complaining that his boat didn't have enough oomph with a 1615. He'd be an ideal candidate to trade with.
  10. centurion crew = super stingy on odd things like "likes" for non-paying members el dierte. (good luck getting it fixed, I'm sure you'll figure it out).
  11. PCM ZR 450 Performance tune

Try the acme 2079 or the OJ 925... Eric at OJ would definitely arrange to bang some cup out of the prop to give you more RPMs too.
  12. in a pinch something like this should work: http://www.amazon.com/Valterra-T1003VPM-Bladex-Waste-Handle/dp/B000BGK22E/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1432562905&sr=8-3&keywords=rv+waste+gate but it would mean you couldn't fill any ballast on top of it till you've filled the quickfill and closed the gate.
  13. its not too hard to make an l bracket with a custom angle using a piece of thin (say 1/4") abs plastic. You'd want it to be the width of the eq with the brackets mounted. And as long as you want. you bend the abs by applying heat like with a small butane torch (now you know what to do with it now that you've kicked that crack habit!). Here's a kinda crummy picture of how I used that method on my old boat (MB) with a clarion eq: http://i824.photobucket.com/albums/zz166/shawndoggy/707927f6.jpg
