I don't have a heater. Or did you mean the heat exchanger?
-
I definitely know where you are talking about on the heat exchanger. I wonder how much of the coolant I could get out just removing that one plug? Any guesses? Mine is 6 years old and I need to change it

I buy the coolant leak bc I had to add some today. No wet bilge though. I blame DEX-COOL
-
By the way, whoever said the 409 is just like the 343 was wrong. The only thing that is the same is the impeller, the cartridge fuel filter, and the oil filter. I have an inline fuel filter instead of the water/fuel separator filter and the belt is different also. Fuel filter also on opposite side.

When I was winterizing....I pulled the raw water drain plug and drained, then saw the 2nd one and was not sure so I pulled it....had to jamb it back in real quick cause it had the closed coolant in it. Luckily I did not lose much, prob 1/3 quart. I am curious too the details on how to do full coolant flush since I was thinking of replacing my DEXCOOL this Spring too. Don't remember exactly but think the manual calls for every 5yrs.
Where was this "second one" in relation to the raw water drain plug?!?!
-
yeah, every 5 years on the DEXCOOL. I have read bad things about it on GM forums, especially if it starts to run low, which I think mine has

I'm trying to figure out why the bottom of my exhaust manifolds are rusting so bad after 6 years. I have the half and half cooling system that uses coolant and raw water both. There appears to be evidence of some leaking which I am going to check tomorrow on a fake a lake. Always been run in freshwater only, doesn't make sense. I even checked the zinc anode and it appears almost new, still 1.5 inches long. Thoughts?

Any tips, advice, or pictures about how to drain the coolant out of PCM 409? Mines a 2011 and the Owner's Manual is woefully inadequate

Yeah, sorry, I should have been more clear that the NADA prices above I quoted were here where I live in Texas. Your location could change the value quite a bit, especially in say, California
-
A quick look up of the NADA value (I assumed it was the Elite V C4) shows average retail (with tandem axle trailer) to be $25,900 and low retail to be $22,700. So I'd say it's a good deal. Might offer $21 just for kicks and see if that buys it.
The Elite V is a little finicky on the wakeboarding wake but will be decent and the surf wave is decent also, just requires a lot of weight.

Yep, triangle handle is the way to go

Any Pics?

I think it would be fun to play with

BAD NEWS- I Just got off the phone with Centurion-Supreme, since the buyout they will not support anything older than 7 years old. They claim to not have the vinyl and/or the template to make the center bow filler cushion anymore.
GOOD NEWS- I just purchased a BRAND NEW bow filler cushion off a 2007 Avalanche that matches my interior vinyl color. The guy put it away in his attic when he bought his boat and forgot about it until recently, after he sold his boat. GREAT FIND!! My plan is to make one from this cushion or sell to a lucky buyer...
DOES anyone have an Elite C V filler cushion that I can trace a template from?
Thanks y'all!!
I think it would help if you would tell us where you are located

I have the ZR409 as well and we're fixing to do it. Everything I read says it's the same as the 343, so we'll let you know.

Wow, that's a beautiful boat. Congrats!

I apologize HawaiinStyle, I just now saw your post asking me questions. i do love my Piper Racks and I do not think they would work in the outer mounting locations. I would move your tower speakers to the outside like mine and put the racks on the inner mounting locations. The crossbar is a must. I trailer mine with the racks on, they are super stable. They are perfect for short boards but RHunt's issue was that a 9" Longboard won't fit there so he went up top. By the way, I could never mount mine on top because my tower is so tall that I could not reach them without a ladder (and I'm 6'2")

How to drain coolant?

Stupid question, but does that mean that I have a second water pump for the freshwater part and one for the coolant part?
