  1. Houston Boat Show

I don't think there is a Centurion dealer in Houston currently but I would love to know also if anyone happens to go
  2. December picture / video thread

That is really cool Nick! Gotta be the next best thing to an expensive full garage
  3. December picture / video thread

I like that setup Jake and looking good Nick
  4. I lubed my Drainmasters like a mad man and I went through 5 of them. Complete junk. If I ever meet the man who designed these with their stupid little red allen key I'm going to kick him in the shin
  5. This project is in my future also. If there is any way you could report back more specific locations of the bolts, any tips for removal, or pictures that would be extremely helpful.
  6. Lubrication ALWAYS makes life a little less frustrating ?. Great write-up and clean install. Wished you had done mine
  7. Elite c4 surf and value?

I have surfed behind an Elite V and the surf wave was absolutely huge, it actually surprised me. But I will say that this particular boat was SLAMMED, and I mean like rub rail under the water slammed. So it will put out a good wave but it does like weight. Should be no problem skiing or wakeskating behind it. I have now idea how the Elite V's do with a wake shaper on them. Maybe someone will chime in. As far as value, NADA is pretty accurate and I would think that you could expect to pay above "low retail" on this boat because it looks so clean and has hardly any hours. For your price range, you could surely find an older Avalanche also and they surf great also.
  8. It seems that every flooring type has its drawbacks. The only drawback I have found with the Deckadence is that in direct sunlight on really hot days (It's always hot here in south Texas), it gets REALLY HOT on the feet. We just throw some water on it or lay a towel down. And although it feels great on the feet, if you ever get on your knees to work in the observer's compartment or whatever, it will tear your knees up big time, like carpet burn X100. Even given that, it is WAY BETTER than the snap in carpet that came with the boat, and the best part is that it is virtually maintenance free. We pull it out once a year to spray it off and clean underneath.
  9. CA is on Fire

Wow, that is horrible. Keep us updated and best of luck!
  10. oooh, ocean kayak could be fun! Must get video of this
  11. I apologize for the crappy cell phone video, my wife refuses to turn her phone sideways no matter how many times I ask. But I wanted to show you guys the fun we've been having on the longboard
  12. Congrats Dark! I saw your run live on the video feed and it was SICK! The announcers were going crazy and couldn't stop talking about it!
  13. Got to demo a 257! (video)

Thanks for posting! You just saved me $160K I joke. I really wasn't trying to be mean about the wave. Like you say, a wave can be difficult to judge on pics and videos, but if you've ridden them all then I trust your review for sure
  14. Got to demo a 257! (video)

    Nice skills. Wave seems okay
  15. Congrats on the 360 MobEnzo! I know how frustrating it can be!
  16. Hey Nick, after talking with RHunt I think the issue is that your mirror (and his) are so much bigger than mine, you can't mount it above the driver's head. So get a smaller one or leave it in the walkthrough or wherever you prefer it. And send me two of the Rigid lights
  17. The Gladiator tower is sooo tall on my 2011. I'm 6'2" and it's never been an issue for me. I have to stand on the back cushion and reach forward over the bimini top to reach the towpoint and I mean I can BARELY reach it. My wife is 5'9" and she has no chance. I noticed in RHunt's 2014 that the freeboard is a little less toward the back of the top cap, so reaching his towpoint is no problem. And if he had the undersided Piper racks like mine, I would likely hit them with my head. It's a couple inches for sure if not more of a difference
  18. Well it's funny you so that, my wife uses the bolster also but my cheap little mirror has a lot of adjustability so she just rotates it back a couple notches and then left or right as needed. My tint is definitely not as dark as yours, but on some days it is hard to see through and looking over the windshield is still not a problem. Maybe next time we're out I'll take a pic of her driving and using the mirror. It's so siimple, but it's hard to explain in words. I did notice some of those mirror mounts will not adjust in 3 planes like mine, maybe that is the issue
  19. Man, those Rigid's are BRIGHT! I just have the cheap CiPPA mirror that came with my boat but I just mount it right above my head. Once adjusted properly, all I have to do is look up and can see the rider perfectly. And it's nowhere near the walkthrough. Not sure why this is an issue, perhaps when you're on the water towing you'll see what I'm talking about. Here's a pic I snapped a couple weeks ago. We're at wakeboarding speeds here, but for surfing I just adjust it slightly:
  20. FI 21 Video

So is this FI21 Centurion's "price point" boat now? Anyone guess what the MSRP on one would be out of curiosity?
  21. I'm betting that pictures just don't do that boat justice. She is beautiful!
  22. You'd be amazed by what you can find in the DIY section:
  23. So I'm guessing you loved the 237?
  24. That's a good call on mellowing the wave a bit for the little ones. Less scary for them and they really only need like a Mastercraft wave, LOL
  25. That's so funny Troy. I told my kids that since I was regular footed, they would be also by default
