  1. 2012 SV233 or 2014 SV233

I would mention that if you are planning on compensating for the smaller motor with a different prop, verify that there will be enough clearance to put the prop that you really want on it. Centurions and Supremes on a lot of models experience prop burn because there is not enough clearance between the prop and the hull...which was my unfortunate experience with a 2015 S226 I had. I know that some SV models had issues as well. I had the smaller motor in that supreme and had to downsize my prop, because of prop burn the high elevation prop caused. Boating at 5,000 feet always left me wanting more power when I was completely full of ballast and people.
  2. Boat Upgrade

It was used (~100 hrs) . It was definitely a good deal. Best price on a comparable boat I found was $5k more.
  3. Boat Upgrade

I feel like you pay a lot more for an RI without any increase in performance over an FI. I have a 2019 FI23 with the 450 and most of the options and only ended up paying $105k . The RI has a few extra nice touches, but for an unreasonable increase in price in my opinion. But wtf, all of these boats are unreasonably priced anyway. We looked at a VI as well, but we boat on Powell a lot and wanted the extra freeboard. And storage. The VI really has almost no room under the seats.
  4. New Delivery of 2021 ZS232

That boat looks great! I love the all-white. I have a black FI23 and it is a mean woman to keep looking good. My next boat will be all white. Congrats on the purchase.
  5. Does anyone know what brand the stock plug and play bags are in a 2015 S226? Since I bought the boat used, I am trying to figure out what I have back there and am not sure. I have black Fly High Fat Sacks. They seem to take up most of the rear lockers, so it leads me to believe they are not the stock 550 lb bags, but I'm not sure. A slightly larger bag would probably fit.
  6. S226 Bimini

I'm not sure which tower I have. Here are some pics.
  7. S226 Bimini

I have a Sewlong on mine and it is great. I bought it with it, but they are pricey. A lot nicer and bigger than a stock one. And now I believe you can get one with the surfboard pockets. I bent the mounts when I forgot to put it down before I drove home one time and they replaced them at their cost for me. Great customer service.
  8. New boat advice

I love my 226. Throws a legit wave. Plus now you can afford to buy a new truck as well if you so choose!
  9. 2015 S226 Center/Front Ballast Tank Switch

So I think they are't standard. I only have the 2 jabsco pumps in the engine compartment for the plug and play bags. The vent for the center tank is plumbed in through the footrest, but I see no indication I have a tank up front. I've even removed the floor panel and tried to look though the gap at the front of the fuel tank and couldn't see much (although I was looking with the light from my cell phone, so couldn't really see).
  10. I just bought a 2015 S226. It has upgraded plug and play ballasts, but I'm unsure if it has a front/center tank ballast. Where is the switch for this if installed? Is it the accessory switch between the plug and play switches in the top bank of switches? As far as I can tell that switch did nothing obvious in the boat. Is the center ballast a standard feature?
  11. 2016 Supreme S226 Surf Setup

That's a good question.....and once I find the answer that might change my mind about using the Delta! But the lakes I go to don't typically have a gas station and I've yet to run out of fuel.
  12. 2016 Supreme S226 Surf Setup

Well this is the only one I've got and the boat isn't fully up to speed. My wife is still pulling herself into the wave, but it stays that high and the lip cleans up substantially.
  13. 2016 Supreme S226 Surf Setup

On my 2015 S226 I've been running: Surf side quickfill tank full (non surf side empty) Both upgraded plug and play bags full 200lbs lead in front Mission delta wakeshaper 25% trim regular, 100% trim goofy I'm getting a clean wave shoulder high on my 5' tall wife. Weighted like this with the wakeshaper I'm getting a better wave than listing the boat hard.
  14. I had the same problem today, this thread saved me quite the headache! I was ready to unwire the switch and button breaker. The little breaker under the dash had tripped. Glad this was so simple.
