greasing impellers
Maxpowers1207 posted a topic in Centurion Boat Maintenance, Performance, Troubleshooting
I was wondering what form of lubrication for the water pump impeller people use. I plan to do my own winterization this year for the first time and was wondering what people use when they switch it out or even if lubing it is needed for the winter. -

2008 Enzo SV230 projects

Hein, I have the side swipe as well (04 cyclone) and am looking for ways to decrease the noise. How effective was your cover? I've been looking at these: Slip-in silencer http://www.cpperformance.com/p-12622-4-slip-in-silencer.aspx Or Exhaust baffle https://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=3278 -
Piggy back stock ballast
Maxpowers1207 replied to StudLee's topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
I piggy backed my center tank to an old ballast bag under the port cabin seat. I just inserted the bag in the vent line with some parts from home depot. Works ok, but the water pressure will push the water through the drain aerator pump. So I looped it and extended it. Works good enough and I only spent $5 for the hardware -

I posted a similar question a few weeks ago for side swipe. Here are the options i found, but haven't tried either. I would like to hear of anyone has tried them bakes https://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=3278 Or this slip in silencer http://www.cpperformance.com/p-12622-4-slip-in-silencer.aspx. I have a 2004 cyclone with side swipe. -
Has anyone tried these from either bakes https://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=3278 or this slip in silencer http://www.cpperformance.com/p-12622-4-slip-in-silencer.aspx. I have a 2004 cyclone with side swipe.

Sideswipe with suckgate

Here my home made suck gate... it took me forever to resize the picture -
What online tool did you find?

Yes that was what I was thinking. My area week be bigger as the middle engine compartment is bigger. I will definitely need to use something beside deckadence... by the way... sharp boat

I found this website on some forum that seems like a cheap alternative to gatorstep/seadeck: http://agendasurf.com/sheet-boat-traction-40.html

Infinity, I feel you on the carpet in the locker... it would be almost better to just paint it. You seemed to understand my question...i think I'll some sea deck on the sun deck, similar to the new boats with the walk thru.
-
I'm hoping to update the carpet to deckadence this fall. Anyone know or have an opinion on how it would work as a walk thru on the center engine cover of the swim deck. I was planning on replacing the vynl, but was thinking of using seadeck/gatorstep/deckadence for the middle section, hoping our stands up better to the foot traffic

750 empty while driving
Maxpowers1207 posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
So I just put in my new 750 in the rear locker of my cyclone. They fill no problem, but after a set of surfing, they are half empty. It's an aerator system and I'm assuming there some siphoning effect, just not sure where and if creating a loop in my hoses would solve the problem. -

I didn't see any drainage out the side of the boat, but didn't look to closely. My intake for the pumps are out the back of the transom and not the bottom of the boat, so it may be exiting there. I guess I didn't notice the draining with the tanks, but maybe I just couldn't tell because they were tanks. I think I'll stop at a hardware store to see if they have check valves for the intake line. -
Sideswipe with suckgate
Maxpowers1207 replied to TopshotTolbert's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
Mine can go side to side or both (splitting I imagine). It still super loud, I'm thinking of adding a silencer this winter... anyways my switch is by the throttle where the lights and ballast toggles are. I'll try and find a picture of what I made. Otherwise I'll get one later this week when I get to my boat -
Sideswipe with suckgate
Maxpowers1207 replied to TopshotTolbert's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
I have a 04 cyclone with side swipe and made my own suck gate. I used the glass lifter from harbor freight, some shelving brackets I had laying around and some 3/4 wood I had. It's only temporary till I get the wake figured out, then I'll just make a more aesthetically pleasing one. I just got 750s for my rear locker that i haven't hooked up yet soI haven't had a chance to see my gate in action, but if I were you I'd make a make shift one and test it out.... oh and tie a float to it so it doesn't sink if it falls off -
You may have to be patient with the adominant getting back to you...I ordered some fly high sacs a few weeks ago and didn't hear back about shipping. I sent numerous messages with no response. I finally calied fly high directly and they had no idea. I was about to call my credit card to cancel when I got a call from administration stating he had not recievedone any of my messages due to issues with the upgrade of the site. Anyways he heard through the grape vine from my call to fly high and made everything right. I was super impressed. Anyways my long tush story... you can take it for whatever it's worth. Whatever you decide, please let us know.. I'm thinking of putting deckadence in this winter

Just wondering how big of difference the board makes when surfing. We haven't bought a board yet and are trying to figure out the best one to get for the family. Anyways, we've been going on a wakeboard that I took the boots off and can't get any push. The boat is a 04 cyclone with 2 250 locker ballast tanks and a 250 center tank. I also use 2 350 afger market bags on the port side of the boat. I hope to have 2 750 bags by the end of the week, but was wondering if that will make a difference. I plan to get a board soon, but was just wondering if a wakesurf board is necessary, or can people use an old wakeboard?

wake surf board
Maxpowers1207 replied to Maxpowers1207's topic in Centurion Boats General Discussion
It was listed this past weekend, but i hope even when I get my 750s. I already made a suck gate, but obviously due to the lack of weight it hasn't mattered. -
Crew store
Maxpowers1207 posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
Does anyone have an idea on the turn around with the crew store? I ordered some 750 sacs on 5/29 and received a payment confirmation email that stated I would be notified when they ship. I haven't received any notice and attempted to contact the admin yesterday, but haven't received a reply. Is this normal? -
So I swamped my bow and had a nice lake in the bow of my 2004 cyclone due to the built in cooler. If I were to drill a hole in the floor, would the water make it way to the back where the bilge pump is? I'm hoping not to bucket it in the future.

Sweet!!! I'll give that a try.... thanks

There are black grommets in the 4 corners. Are those the drain holes? If so, they must be clogged.

Fly high vs wakemakers
Maxpowers1207 posted a topic in Centurion Boat Accessories, Electronics and Modifications
I recently obtained a 2004 Cyclone. It has the aerator pumps with tank system. I am looking to get bags to upgrade the weight in the boat. I was told the 750s will go over the side swipe exhaust system, but I'm concerned that the bags will not empty with the aerator pump being at the back of the boat as it will sit on the exhaust system. The other option would be get the 640s or 720s from wakemakers that would butt up against the exhibition system. Any comments or feedback would be welcomed.
