Does anyone know what size the water strainer is (1/2, 3/4. 5/8, etc.) that is plumbed inline in the ballast system of an Avalanche? Mine is an 06 and this piece happen to disappeared recently (no earthly idea how) but it needs to be replaced. For specifics, it is located just behind the left exhaust manifold. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for your time.

Very nice dre but the only thing I'd do different is get the bags from the crew store

With mine, the stock tanks had two 3/4" 90 degree barbed/ male pvc fittings (one for the fill and one for the vent). The drain was the small yellow gph pumps on the aft ends which also were threaded into the stock tanks. These all threaded into the new fat sacs I purchased and I applied teflon tape to the threads of the pvc fittings along with hose clamps that also came from the stock tanks. The drain pump threaded in nicely and teflon tape was also applied to these threads as well. Perfect fit, easy install. The stock tanks are typically held in place with L shaped brackets that are screwed into floor. Easy removal. For bags, there are a number of options you can go with. I've personally had experience with the two in the links below. The 400lbs ones fit well and leave room for vests, etc. Overall these are great both wakeboarding/ wakesurfing and with a full boat of people (and the additional bow ballast I installed), the Scorpion 330 motor just keeps up. The larger 1100lbs bags do fit but of course, take slightly longer to fill (which can be fixed with an upgraded pump). Both bags have the three necessary ports for the vent, fill, and drain in great locations and are threaded. Again, the above is just a personal experience! Variations do occur. This is just how I set mine up. Feel free to adjust and be creative! Also, the last link is someone who walks you through the removal of stock tanks and you can see the fittings and brackets that I referenced above as well.

Congrats on the new boat! We have the same boat, absolutely love it. I've replaced the rear stock tanks with fat sacs and also plumbed in fat sacs in the bow as well, all of which are on the rocker switches and the rears utilize the original plumbing. The bow required some custom work, but nothing the local hardware store didn't have. Works great for what we do!

I am missing the plastic threaded piece that holds the filter and the filter itself.
