Centurion Elite V C4

46K For an entry level boat. There is part of your problem. No wonder I see so many Tahoes at my lake.

After watching the rest of us surf all day my two year old looks at me and says "Morgan wanna surf". How could I resist.

Another prop question

I damaged my prop this weekend and was just wondering which prop other Elite V owners are using. We spend most of our time wakeboarding, but we are wanting to get into surfing as well.

We had the same thing happen. Overton's said they shipped a new fin but that was over two weeks ago and we have not seen it yet.

Winter DIY

You are right about the straps, but the sun is starting to get hot down here in the south and I am very pale. The straps were an easy and quick solution to getting the bimini mounted asap. I will probably be lucky if the canvas makes it through the summer without tearing as well, but now that we know how to make one, the second one will be easier. -

Here are some more pics. First a view of the speaker mounting brackets, which are Aluminum. Next is a view from the back of the Delron. It has a step milled into it the same as the speaker ring so it slides in and then drilled a tapped from the side to hold it in place. The bimini mounts were a off the shelf item at electrical supply. I had to make a spacer for the rear mount because the tower is wider at the back. I realize these projects are not possible for alot of people. It all really depends on the resources you have available. I work in an in house tool room and have access to every machine known to man. I am now an electronics tech but I spent 15 years as a tool and die maker, so I also have lots of experience. I made both rings and a Sport Trak milling machine. Not sure how high a regular bimini is when unfolded. My wife is 5 5" and can walk underneath without bending over. -

Dang, you guys have got me thinking. Unfortunately I don't have the stock to make more. We don't usually have aluminum laying around period. Mostly tool steel (D2,10v, expensive hard pooh). The end cap I made out of a nylon material called Delron, and once again it was a piece I have been hiding for over a year just waiting to make something out of. I'll take a picture of the end cap tomorrow and post. I tried just using the pvc end cap, but never could get it to look right. I will also post a pic of the mounting brackets for the speakers tomorrow. My brother teaches machine shop at a local high school, maybe this could be a project for some of his better students. -

It could be made if you had the round stock or a 1" thick plate big enough to make it from. -
After buying my Centurion I realized it still needed a few essentials, but unfortunately my finances were stretched pretty thin. First thing I tackled was my lack of speakers. The boat only had four 6" round speakers. Two in the bow and two under the wrap around seating, and nothing on the tower . I replaced the two under the wrap around seating with a pair of 6x9s, and used the 6" round speakers for my tower project. Just some regular pvc pipe and and aluminium ring I made during my lunch while at work. Then I bought some carbon look sticker off of ebay to cover the pvc with. I also made a simple bracket to mount it to the tower. Next was a bimini. I really like the rack type (z-rack stlye), but they are too expensive. I was able to get some rigid aluminum from work that was going to be trashed, had a maintenance electrician help me bend it into a rectangle. Bolted some cross bars for support. As for the cover, I went to a local fabric shop and bought some standard canvas. My wife and I sewed it and installed the grommets ourselves. Later we plan on making one out of sunbrella, but for now we just applied some uv spray. Heres the finished product

Looks like I will be towing a tube some this summer and I was just wondering what kind of rope I should use. Would a cheap ski rope do?
