  1. And for reference, this is the avalanche i bought 2 weeks ago. Still haven't taken the posting down. And its an 04, not an 03 and got it for 22k. And you read that correctly. Hour meter read 95.8 hours and engine ECU confirmed it! Its in immaculate condition. Interior was like new. http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2003-centurion-storm-series-102843384/
  2. And for tower speakers im thinking of going with the rockford fosgate m282's in white.
  3. Im trying to find someone who can make the racks in white to match my tower. Im not completely set on swiveling racks if i cant get them in white. Having them match is more important then leaning out to grab a board. Im thinking of calling skylon to see what they can offer since my tower is the oem skylon swoop. I dont know if its just me, but things that are out of place even a little tend to bother me often. So polished aluminum racks on a white tower would drive me nuts!
  4. Cool. Thanks ill check into those.
  5. Lol! Ill be sure to make a log on here. Over winter i'll be adding the rear ballast and a whole new stereo with tower speakers and shooting for swiveling board racks.
  6. I did read your write up. The aux ports for bag filling was an awesome idea
  7. Thanks. Yes we have the center ballast tank ( i believe 250). Had that full also when we were out. We have a couple bigger riders. Im 260# and i have 2 buddies around 240-250. Its an 04 so there is no bulkhead. I did located all the factory wiring to add rear ballast though. Contacted centurion and waiting on a response to order the pump/strainer for inlet and the matching port side stainless drain. Also using factory rocker switches. Want it to look as factory as possible minus the bag. Im thinking about 2000# we would be getting close. I want it so that if its just Me, the wife, and teenage kid out there, we can surf no problem.
  8. And where do you guys fond the lead bricks at?
  9. Do the avalanches need counter weight at all?
  10. Mines a solid tab. Its bolted to the bottom of the transom. Is there any benefit to this tab? And is it worth putting an adjustable one on? Tried surfing yesterday with 2 - 550's in the locker and a 450 under the port seat. The women did fine but for the bigger guys it seemed like there wasnt enough wave or push. Gonna go for custom avy sack. When we ran 10.3 or 10.5 on perfect pass it seemed ok. But when we sped up to 11 or more it lengthed but was a small wave.
  11. Does it seem to make a big difference moving the weight that far out? 155# isnt much. Basically a person sitting on the deck.
  12. Here's a pic of my transom. Is that a fixed plate? Its suppose to have the storm 3 package and has perfect pass and the rear and center ballast. Any benefits to having the switchblade?
  13. Thanks guys. So stuff as much as i can in the rear locker and under port seats. Then add a little bow weight if i want a longer wave. Truekaotik you said weight on the swim platform? How the hell do you get it to stay there?? And if my tab is fixed, can i order a lenco or bennett actuator and install that and remove the fixed arms?
  14. Thanks. i will try that out this weekend. All i have for now is my 700 from my old boat im going to put on the back seat or the sun deck and a 400 im going to put on the port side seat just to test out. We will also have about 5 or 6 people to move around and get a feel for where i will need to add ballast. Then this winter im going to redo the setup so no bags are visible. So what is the purpose of a fixed plate? To me that sounds dumb. If its not adjustable then it really dont do anything. I may be able to add an actuator to it and remove the fixed mounts so that way its useable.
  15. Im not sure if its fixed or just manual. It looked like turnbuckles to adjust it. I wont know for sure till i head up to my summer place this weekend.
  16. Nice. Saves me some space. So general consensus is to go with an enzo sack or custom sack that packs as much ballast as i can in the rear locker and under the port seats up to observers seats. Is a suck gate needed also? Or does the trim tab clean it up enough? I made my own suckgate from a seastow handle and kept it when i traded in the moomba. And what do you guys usually run your tabs at? Mine appears to be manual so i dont wanna have to jump in everytime to adjust it.
  17. Thanks guys! So it sounds like the enzo sack is the way to go. How about bow weight? Need any up front?
