  1. I have a 2016 s238 I have not added any aftermarket lead or bags to our boat and I can consistently ride without the rope. Now I also spent 100+ hours getting to that point of tuning the wave. The last time I went out behind our boat I had 3 total people and the wave was surfable and able to do 360's. Now that being said, with more weight in the boat the wave really comes ALIVE. You can absolutely tell the difference. But out of the box the wave is surfable and good enough push to surf without the rope and not have to pump the whole time. I've been out with just me and one other person (once dialed in) and been able to surf no problem. If I had it all to do over I still would have bought the s238. Just dont get discouraged if it takes a little while to get it dialed in tho. It is frustrating and time consuming. Lots of trial and error. But totally worth it when you make it work. I would love to help as much as I can on the dialing in part.

  2. I got a really nice wave yesterday out of the stock ballast and not even listed. I ran everything 100% full stock ballast. Rear bags, Quickfill, under seat bow bag and center hard tank all 100% full. I just filled the tank up so that was even full too. I was running 11.6 mph. 0 center tab and very little (And i mean very little) left surf tab button. Regular side surf of course. The boat peaked alot higher than i was normally use to, as far as the bow rise. The wave was very peaky and had nice push. I have been a believer in the Listed setup by far. But the wave I had yesterday was much better than the listed wave i get. Figured I would share for people to try this way out also. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED even with stock ballast.

Maybe you could try this set up your next time out. worked awesome for me with stock ballast.

    hope it helps brother.

  4. we have the 5.7 in ours and we had 16 people out on the boat with the factory ballast completely full the other day and it didnt have a problem at all getting on plain but was running 3700RPM while surfing. I would think $750 for the upgrade motor would be worth it but I dont know how much better it is cause all i have to go off is the 5.7.

  5. I tried something a little different this weekend with my surf wave. Seemed to be a little better than the listing method I have been preaching. This is all stock ballast (for all of us without the upgraded systems YET!) I ran 100% port rear, 0% starboard Rear, 100% port quick fill, 100% starboard quick fill, 100% bow bag, 100% center (under floor) tank. I was running 11.2-11.4 MPH and mostly center trim tab but a little bit port surf tab just to clean up the face. I only had 3 people in the boat plus myself. I would usually run listed with that few of people, but after now being a believer in this boat evenly weighted (from last weekends MONSTER wave with the 16 person crew I had) I figured i would try to weight it as much as I could. It was not near the wave I had the previous weekend. But compared to the wave I use to get listing it, I say it was quite a bit better. It was a longer wave and seemed to be a little bit more pushy and peaky up front. I did have everyone sitting on the port side and 1 person on the back deck to give the wave as much as I could. Something to try at least.

  6. Is that the 2017 238? Because I have had a hell of a time getting the wave to surf good on the regular/port side. Any advice would be great

Our's is a 2016. This wave was with 15 people in the boat and the stock ballast full. I used about 50% on the center trim tab and messed around with the surf side trim tab untill the wave cleaned up. It was an awesome wave!!!! dont typically have 16 people total out on the boat but when you do the boat really comes alive. With all that weight and surfing at 11.4 mph the boat got to speed no problem and was running around 3700 rpms. I WAS IMPRESSED to say the least.

  7. with factory ballast you have to run it listed to get a wave you can ride without the rope. I run 100% rear port locker 100% port side Quickfill. run at 10.4. Somewhere around 50% center tab and very little surf tab. surf tab just enough to clean the wave. most of the time it is pretty clean without useing surf tab.

This video was taken yesterday. By far the best wave I have gotten behind the boat. I set this wave up completely different than I usually do. Usually (if I don't have a bunch of people in the boat with me) I run the boat listed. Listed is the only way I have found I can get enough push to ride without the rope. Yesterday I had 14 people in the boat.

    Surf set up

100% fully loaded on all factory bags

    11.6 MPH

    50%ish on center trim

20-30% on left surf to clean up the face.

I AM A QUICKSURF BELIEVER NOW!!!!

just need a lot of weight.....

Yesterday I had 14 people in the boat. I was told a little while back that this boat is designed to run fully loaded (ballast wise) and using the surf tabs. I am now a believer in that saying. Only down fall to that is the factory ballast is not enough. If you can get enough weight in the boat, the boat REALLY comes alive. If I had to guess I would say I had 5000 lbs in the boat between ballast and 14 people, and trust me when I say the WAVE WAS AMAZING!!!! I was riding aprox. 30 feet back on the wave, at points, on a skim style board and didn't have a problem at all staying in it. It is frustrating trying to get a great wave like that without a ton of weight but it is still rideable with out. I Love our supreme!!!

  10. You run stock ballast correct?

Both PNP bags full, and only surfside QF? Or only Surfside corner PNP and QF?

What were you using for Trim and QS settings if any, and what speed?

I'll add this in to the revised surf cheat sheet and repost it again soon.

Have you tried this same setup Goofy?

yes stock ballast, just the surf side sack and surf side qf full. everything else completely empty. my center trim tab is more than 50% more closer to 100% some times. barley any quick surf. like maybe half a second just to clean face up. this is all at 10.4 mph

This is a short video of the listed wave I got the other day I was 100% on back sack and 100% on surf side QF. I had 7 people in the boat total 5 of which on the back surfside and my wife and I in the center of the boat. I hope it looks as awesome in the video as it did in person. The wave was very large and had tons of push. It was the best wave ive produced so far.

  12. what i found out this weekend is with the listed (100% rear bag 100% port side QF at 10.4) is good for skim boards, but not so good for boards like the Liquid force Fish style board. For some reason i can ride all day long with the skim style without the rope, but on the Fish i cant even let go. I think the speed is to slow for the longer board. Dont ask me why, cause i dont know but i just ordered a new surf style board should be here in the next week or so and ill update to see if that one rides better and slower or faster speeds.

  13. I have all the factory ballast 2 rear sacs 2 quick fill tanks bow under seat bag and the center bag. We have been out all weekend surfing and we were able to ride the wave without the rope for as long as you wanted. I dont put any weight in the front of mine at all. all we fill up (for port side surfing) is the rear port side bag 100% and the port side quick fill at 10.4mph. The wave is very white capped at first so i put about 40-50% of center trim tab. The wave has an awesome curl at the end and quite a bit of push. I am 230lbs and didnt have a problem riding without the rope. Hope that helps.

  14. Thank you to those that helped me understand the QS and Trim tabs. I've put 25 hours on the boat so far and I'm finally happy with the wave. The last 4 hours have been incredible surfing. The first 21 hours was with the stock ballast bags only. I was about ready to sell the darn thing because I couldn't get enough push out of the wave. My wakemakers kit finally came in and I got it installed that changed the game. Here is my setup so far. Surf side 100%, non-surf side about 60-70%, both bow ballast bags full and quick fill full. Last night I had two 400# pound fly high bags in use as well. One on the surf side and one up front to help lengthen the wave. There was three people total out surfing, so two on the boat and one in the water. I am 6'2" and 280#, the other was 6'4" and 285#, lastly was his daughter that only weighed about 115 pounds. So when one of us big guys was in the water the body weight didn't help as there wasn't much extra weight. We were all able to surf an awesome wave. The push was amazing. The guy I had out runs a mastercraft and he couldn't say enough about the supreme wave. He preferred surfing behind mine to his. Earlier the same day I had my brother in the boat that runs a 2016 Malibu, the new 25' boat and he fell in love with the supreme wave as well. I have lead coming as well to use as needed but I prefer to use bags as much as possible. Mainly because my boat gets used to pull my kids tubing as well. I like being able to dump the weight when not surfing. So happy with my purchase and decision to see if my "value class" boat can outperform the boats costing damn near double.

I have dialed in the wave without extra bags. I cant imagine more sacks what that wave would do. We went out this past weekend for 4th of july and surfed two days straight and the wave was amazing. even with only having stock ballast. Listing the boat is by far the best setup we have been able to come up with. I am a true believer in SUPREME!!!

  15. the buttons on the arm rest area to the right says "surf left" "surf right". if you push the button down (towards the back of the boat) that will deploy more surf tab. The trim button is the same way push down to deploy more trim. The farther down you push the trim tab the longer the wave gets. Leaving the trim tab up farther will give you more height to the wave. depending on board selection and rider preference those are some quick way to change around the type of wave you want.

  16. Well, I had my first uh oh moment :( I tore a little maybe 1 inch tear in the arm rest of the bow. just north of the black grab handle on the driver side (towards the bow) trying to get my anchor unstuck. The anchor rope pinched and tore it. Anyone have a good recipe for fix to the supreme vinyl? I dont know if I should try to glue it back together to keep from tearing more or what i should do. Any help would be appreciated.

  17. I played with the surf setup again this past weekend tried something different this time and it worked awesome. I filled surf side rear bag to 100% and surf side quick fill to 100% surf tab about 3-4 seconds and center trim tab about 3-4 seconds also. I had 4 people in the boat and me driving. Everything else was completely dry. The boat listed HARD when sitting still but it was BY FAR THE BEST WAVE i have produced. Ran 10.8 mph. It had a 8-12inch curl and a big clean surf area with plenty of push for a 225lbs rider. It was awesome. Figured i would share!!
