  1. our 16 model we bought for 68 it doesnt have the under water lights but does have the 3 hard tanks and 3 bags surf tabs snap in carpet ect (nothing over the top but all the nice options). does also have some metallic flake too.
  2. I have a 2016 s238 I have not added any aftermarket lead or bags to our boat and I can consistently ride without the rope. Now I also spent 100+ hours getting to that point of tuning the wave. The last time I went out behind our boat I had 3 total people and the wave was surfable and able to do 360's. Now that being said, with more weight in the boat the wave really comes ALIVE. You can absolutely tell the difference. But out of the box the wave is surfable and good enough push to surf without the rope and not have to pump the whole time. I've been out with just me and one other person (once dialed in) and been able to surf no problem. If I had it all to do over I still would have bought the s238. Just dont get discouraged if it takes a little while to get it dialed in tho. It is frustrating and time consuming. Lots of trial and error. But totally worth it when you make it work. I would love to help as much as I can on the dialing in part.
  3. I got a really nice wave yesterday out of the stock ballast and not even listed. I ran everything 100% full stock ballast. Rear bags, Quickfill, under seat bow bag and center hard tank all 100% full. I just filled the tank up so that was even full too. I was running 11.6 mph. 0 center tab and very little (And i mean very little) left surf tab button. Regular side surf of course. The boat peaked alot higher than i was normally use to, as far as the bow rise. The wave was very peaky and had nice push. I have been a believer in the Listed setup by far. But the wave I had yesterday was much better than the listed wave i get. Figured I would share for people to try this way out also. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED even with stock ballast. Maybe you could try this set up your next time out. worked awesome for me with stock ballast. hope it helps brother.

  6. 2017 S238 General Questions

we have the 5.7 in ours and we had 16 people out on the boat with the factory ballast completely full the other day and it didnt have a problem at all getting on plain but was running 3700RPM while surfing. I would think $750 for the upgrade motor would be worth it but I dont know how much better it is cause all i have to go off is the 5.7.
  7. Surf setup

I tried something a little different this weekend with my surf wave. Seemed to be a little better than the listing method I have been preaching. This is all stock ballast (for all of us without the upgraded systems YET!) I ran 100% port rear, 0% starboard Rear, 100% port quick fill, 100% starboard quick fill, 100% bow bag, 100% center (under floor) tank. I was running 11.2-11.4 MPH and mostly center trim tab but a little bit port surf tab just to clean up the face. I only had 3 people in the boat plus myself. I would usually run listed with that few of people, but after now being a believer in this boat evenly weighted (from last weekends MONSTER wave with the 16 person crew I had) I figured i would try to weight it as much as I could. It was not near the wave I had the previous weekend. But compared to the wave I use to get listing it, I say it was quite a bit better. It was a longer wave and seemed to be a little bit more pushy and peaky up front. I did have everyone sitting on the port side and 1 person on the back deck to give the wave as much as I could. Something to try at least.
  8. Surf setup

Our's is a 2016. This wave was with 15 people in the boat and the stock ballast full. I used about 50% on the center trim tab and messed around with the surf side trim tab untill the wave cleaned up. It was an awesome wave!!!! dont typically have 16 people total out on the boat but when you do the boat really comes alive. With all that weight and surfing at 11.4 mph the boat got to speed no problem and was running around 3700 rpms. I WAS IMPRESSED to say the least.

its a CWB AMG. little bit of a hybrid is what i was told.
  10. Need help with my wave

with factory ballast you have to run it listed to get a wave you can ride without the rope. I run 100% rear port locker 100% port side Quickfill. run at 10.4. Somewhere around 50% center tab and very little surf tab. surf tab just enough to clean the wave. most of the time it is pretty clean without useing surf tab.

https://youtu.be/XQvGJXpTAjg This video was taken yesterday. By far the best wave I have gotten behind the boat. I set this wave up completely different than I usually do. Usually (if I don't have a bunch of people in the boat with me) I run the boat listed. Listed is the only way I have found I can get enough push to ride without the rope. Yesterday I had 14 people in the boat. Surf set up 100% fully loaded on all factory bags 11.6 MPH 50%ish on center trim 20-30% on left surf to clean up the face. I AM A QUICKSURF BELIEVER NOW!!!! just need a lot of weight.....

Usually (if I don't have a bunch of people in the boat with me) I run the boat listed. Listed is the only way I have found I can get enough push to ride without the rope. Yesterday I had 14 people in the boat. I was told a little while back that this boat is designed to run fully loaded (ballast wise) and using the surf tabs. I am now a believer in that saying. Only down fall to that is the factory ballast is not enough. If you can get enough weight in the boat, the boat REALLY comes alive. If I had to guess I would say I had 5000 lbs in the boat between ballast and 14 people, and trust me when I say the WAVE WAS AMAZING!!!! I was riding aprox. 30 feet back on the wave, at points, on a skim style board and didn't have a problem at all staying in it. It is frustrating trying to get a great wave like that without a ton of weight but it is still rideable with out. I Love our supreme!!!
  14. Surf setup

yes stock ballast, just the surf side sack and surf side qf full. everything else completely empty. my center trim tab is more than 50% more closer to 100% some times. barley any quick surf. like maybe half a second just to clean face up. this is all at 10.4 mph
  15. Surf setup

https://youtu.be/fVt5n1-iIJk This is a short video of the listed wave I got the other day I was 100% on back sack and 100% on surf side QF. I had 7 people in the boat total 5 of which on the back surfside and my wife and I in the center of the boat. I hope it looks as awesome in the video as it did in person. The wave was very large and had tons of push. It was the best wave ive produced so far.
