I was able to take the boat out this weekend and set up the boat like we had talked about and it worked AWESOME!! i had 100% on surf side about 50-60% opposite both hard tanks full and very little in the bow maybe 20%. I had the trim tab deployed 3 to 4 one second clicks. The surf tab about 50%. I had 7 people in the boat all pretty much on the surf side spread throughout the boat. 2 on the back deck 4 in the seating area and 1 (me driving) no non surf side. set the cruise at 10.4 and I think i bumped it up to 10.6. The wave had good push wasnt real long but it was A LOT better than the last time fully weighted and surf tab deployed. I did not have the chance to change the position of the ram but it was a good day of surfing. also had some wakeboarding going on to and the boarding wake is awesome too. All together a good day on the water!!! Thanks for the help guys.

Hey guys we are planning on changing the break in oil in our 238 I have done countless oil changes on auto's but never on a v drive boat. What are the need to knows, need to have's, and don't when changing oil. Also what kind of oil do y'all run on these new motors?

we were under the impression that we should change the oil after 10 hours. I thought thats what the sales consultant said.

I ride regular.

Playing with both of those ideas, what is the absolute best wave you have seen, between listing and weighting even and using tabs? Or is one better than the other. I know i need to get some extra weight but im wondering which way i need to shoot for.

so the first setup would be with stock ballast. and the second with both rear sacks full would be on if i put in additional sacks?

I was told to try no bow ballast, 100% on the side surfing 50% on the opposite, 20-30% center trim tab, and both hard tanks filled at 9.8- 10.4 MPH. adjusting the quicksurf only to clean up the wave from my supreme sales rep. Mine has the upgrade from the manufacturer so i think it is 3100lbs from my understanding. Does that sound right? 2 hard tanks, 2 big bags in the back and the bow bag.

That's what I kept running into yesterday was it looked great but didn't ride great. I must say I did have the QS deployed 100% most of the day. I played with the trim tab more than anything. I didn't really realize the quick surf was more for clean up than for the actual wave. I was more taught to weight the boat evenly 100% and deploy the surf tab all the way and there was your wave. Come to find out the surf tab really is one of the little keys into the wave.
