  1. Just got my Ri237 about a week ago and only have about 10 hours on it. Ordered it with the high altitude prop 1589 14.5 X 16 and seems to be working well. Haven't had the chance to try it out with a full load of people yet only a couple adults and kids. I'm currently at the 900 foot elevation level and wanted to order a spare prop. I'm think of try a different one for the spare and wanted to know what other Ri owners have or tried. Mine has the H6 motor and full stock ballast 5,100 lbs
  2. I would say order it if you have little kids. I've filled just the bow bag and hard tank up front and nothing else for pulling the small ones tubing by themselves. It will give you almost no wave
  3. Ri237 setup?

You should check the QS tabs when it's on the trailer after the 80% setting and beyond the screen will say they are moving and the hydraulic pump will make noise but the actual tabs don't move any further. So 80% to 100% is the same setting or at least it is on my boat and when I talked to Centurion about it they said that was normal and that's how we programed it.
  4. Ri237 setup?

I don't think there is any adjustments you can make to the QS ram mounting position like you can on the S238's or at least on my Ri237
  5. Centurion's Line for 2017

I see what you are say! Here is my experience. Full ballast (5100 lbs) and 8 or 9 adults on board and the boat struggles to get up to surf speed and when it gets there I've seen it sit at 5100 RPM's. The wave is awesome like that but the performance sucks! I'd like to know when they plan on putting the 16" prop on the Ri237 which would help a ton in this situation. I don't give two sh$t how much gas it burns or how fast it cruises. I just want to be able to load the hell out of it and through everyone I can fit on it (maybe some lead or alot) and be just fine. That's why if you could get a Ri257 with a Supercharger and the 1 to 1.72 gear ratio (not 1 to 1.46 ratio) and a low pitch 16" or maybe even a 16.5" prop with a crazy amount of PNP ballast option (say 1200 lbs rears/nose PNP's, 1000 lbs hard center tank, and max out the ram fills to 6000 lbs) and with the 92 gallon gas tank on it you could be out all day with 10+ people and have a massive wave. They could call it the Ri257 Ocean Wave addition. Also add lead as needed.....
  6. Centurion's Line for 2017

So with full ballast and lead can you get more then a few people on board and still get up to surf speed without excessively high rpm's?
  7. Centurion's Line for 2017

I could see tweaks to the hull helping and the larger prop but the quick launch does nothing for surfing with a lot of weight. As far as the center ballast it could help but I was hoping for more room in the rear lockers for say 1200 lbs bags in each side so there might be a chance of actually using the nose bag in this boat unlike the Ri237.
  8. Centurion's Line for 2017

Why would you say the H6 is fine for the 257. Is this just because of the addition of the proper prop (16").
  9. Centurion's Line for 2017

Well if I went with a Ri257 I think a Supercharger is needed and if they start putting the 1 1/4" shaft and 16" on the Ri237 then a H6 will work. I would prefer to order a Ri257 with the supercharger and the 1 to 1.72 gear ratio so that way I could load the sh$t out of it with lead and people and be just fine!
  10. Centurion's Line for 2017

Thanks for that! Did they happen to get you any info on the drive ratio. Want to know if it's the same as the Ri237's now. 1 to 1.72 for the H6 and I believe the supercharger ones are 1 to 1.46.
  11. Centurion's Line for 2017

All this is great but when the fu@$ is Centurion going to give everyone the details/specs on this boat? I know you can order one right now but can't imagine ordering a $170k boat and have no details on it..... I guess just hope for the best when it shows up it's what you imagined it was.
  12. Centurion's Line for 2017

So does anyone know when they will release the specs on the Ri257 to the public?
  13. Centurion's Line for 2017

If you get a chance see if you can get a close up pic of what prop/shaft size it is and also how much hull clearance there is with that prop.
  14. Ri237 prop options?

I had heard the first boat to get the 16" prop would be the Ri257 and the customers for those won't see them until after the first of the year. The current 2017 Ri217 and Ri237's still have the smaller 1 1/8" prop shaft and the biggest prop ACME makes for that is 15.5". My prediction is the late model 2017 Ri's will finally come with the proper 1 1/4" prop shaft and 16" prop. I'd be #%cking pissed if I bought a 2017 already and that ends up being the cast. I've got a 2016 and I'm pissed!!!!!
  15. There was a new update for the Ri's in the last 2 weeks. Mostly for the ballast timer issues it was having but might help other problems.
  16. The same thing happened to my Ri237 port side ram fill valve 2 days ago. I couldn't get it to close completely as well after operating manually. Seamed to be stuck at the last 1/4" of travel. Mine is currently at the dealer and just got off the phone with them and was told it was one of the seals came unseated which keep it from closing all the way. They replaced the seal and lube it up and is now functioning normally. I would suggest taking it apart your self if you don't want it down for a while if you feel comfortable. I hope this isn't a start of a new recurring problem with these valves.
  17. Regular vs goofy

The Ri's are LH or counter clockwise for sure. I do 95% of my surfing and the people I go with goofy. I'm personally 6'2" and 240 lbs and the wave is amazing with lots of push. If I was currently in the market for a Ri right now I'd wait for the late 2017 models to come out with the 16" prop or if you want one right now just set some money aside for the retrofit kit to come out for the 2016's and early 2017's. I'm thinking it's not going to be cheap for this kit considering you'll need a new prop, shaft, prop strut, possible new motor mounts for proper ailment. On top of that you'll have to pay hours of shop labor to install it and get the ailment done after paying well over $100,000 for the boat its self. I personally think it should be a recall or at least very heavy discounted!
  18. I would like to see some pics. The axles may be better then the ones on boatmate I don't know. From the pic of the blue trailer on the first page and looking at there website I not convinced. I currently have a 2016 Ri237 with the triple axle, front ladder, and bedliner type of paint (forgot what it is actually called). The Extreme trailers front ladder looks quite small compared to Boatmate's, didn't see a option for the bedliner paint, they don't have a back lite Centurion emblem on them, and doesn't look like they have a big step pad area on the rear of the trailer like Boatmate does which is very nice. One thing I did like from there website is the option of 20" rims if Centurion is going to even have that option.
  19. The purple and silver trailers are Boatmate's for sure. The first pic is the only new brand of trailer and by the looks of it I'm not overly impressed!
  20. Ri237 prop options?

With all that weight and the new prop was at the 4300 to 4400 RPM's. So same RPM's as the stock prop but a lot weight.
  21. Ri237 prop options?

I had the same issue when I first got my boat as well with the zebra mussel filters. I think the timers are set to 10 minutes now and I still have to override the pumps 5 times to get them to piss out the over flows. I'm thinking these filters get clogged easily and with only 40 hours on the boat I don't plan on replacing them monthly so might just pull them out. They should easily fill in 5 to 6 minutes without filters.
  22. Ri237 prop options?

Here is a couple of photos of the wave from today. I know its hard to tell the size of the wave without a rider but it was just me and the wife and she can't drive and take pics at the same time. Go figure! On top of full ballast I had 2 400lbs and 1 155lbs Fly High fat sac on board along with the 460lbs of lead. The funny thing is without the 155lbs sac in the nose of the boat it won't get over 10.8 mph. With it in the front and me in the boat no one surfing it would get right up to 11.8mph no problem. I would of never thought that small amount of weight over all would make that much of a difference.
  23. Ri237 prop options?

Was thinking the same thing. RPM'S are still high but the prop is definitely a better option then the stock 1589. I'm hearing some rumors as well that the 2017 Ri's will be come with a 16" prop on them. I might just wait and see what it will cost to modify mine to a 16" prop once the 2017 are out. I think I could do a little better with a different 15" prop or possible a 15.5" but to see huge improvement from where I I'm with the 15" x 14" prop I'll have to wait for a mod/update kit to 16" prop. I sure hope Centurion gives us guys with 16 Ri's a deal on 16" prop kit if the rumors come true for 2017.
