Ok, so I finally got a chance to start surfing. Got a few questions that may be me or board related troubles. First off, was not behind my avy, was behind an 08 Malibu 21xti. The troubles I was having was I couldn't get any real push from the wake. I was riding a wake skim board?? Anyhow, got up first time no troubles but could never get it to really push. I would lean forward on the board and as soon as I could get the slightest bit of slack in the rope the board tip would dip in and it was over. I weigh in at 225 and 6' tall. How big of a board should I be on? He had 2000lbs of sacs filled up on port side with 8 people on the port side too. Had the wedge down and was at 10mph. Was never a very big wake, about 24" tall. i was keeping my feet about shoulder width apart. my back foot was not all the way back so I can see what your saying. I will try again this weekend

everyone else was way smaller than me on the same board. I think the board was to small for me as they were riding ok, but never really got any slack in the rope. I will try again behind mine and see. I can make a bigger wake than him with just 800lbs in the back.

Has anyone had troubles out of the pro flight tower? Mine has been good so far but don't know if it's original or what. I just put the rev 10's on it and we do board from it, will it handle more weight? A rev 410? Sometimes we double ride so that would be the most stresses I can see. Also, do you tow with the tower up or down? I have done both, but want to know if there are down falls to being 1 way or the other. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Mine is doing that now. Overheats then shuts down. I'm guessing it's from being older and heat from engine bay. I'm gonna replace all my pumps soon so I should have it fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have been reading about everyone buying new sacs and removing the factory's. Are they available still from the store? My Avy has the wLk through, is there a bigger sac I can put inside it? I don't mind losing the entire rear storage but would like to not lose the whole port side storage. We mainly wake board but will surf some. Thanks in advance

Well, I guess I need that big a$$ sac then. Where can I order the custom fitted ones for my boat from?? Wake makers? I fully understand that most of this board is surfers, and that's great, I wanna learn. But does it really take that much weight to make my boat a decent surf boat? With my wife and daughters, the niece and nephews, and usually 3-4 other guests we carry a few life jackets, water noodles, skis, knee board, and 4 wakeboard a. 2 tubes, 2 ski ropes, 2 tube ropes, plus a Tupperware tub with lunch. Took the boat in and he tweaked the amp a small bit and said to give them about 20 hrs break in time. He turned it back to full range and dialed the hertz up some. Looks like my Christmas present this year is gonna be a bigger sub in the boat with a ported box and a 410 on the tower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ok, I keep reading about props and keep seeing right hand or left hand rotation. how do I tell which I have? also, when I bought my avy the guy had a prop that was new in the bag from acme and said it was the spare for this boat. its a 14x15.25 prop. the one on the boat says 13 something. will a 14" prop fit onto a 2003 avy? don't look like it from behind but have never gotten down and measured. will a prop repair shop cut this one down or is it even worth doing?

Took the boat out Saturday and got to spend all day. First off, I should have bought a towboat a long time ago!! This thing is awesome. Boat topped off at 38 with no water in Ballard tanks. Created a nice wake with very little help from ballast. Pulls like a train. We spent the day boarding and tubing and had a blast. I'm going to order new pumps for the factory tanks this week I hope and try to go again next weekend. Thanks to everyone on here for all your help and suggestions.
