  1. I'm wanting to mount this tower light on top of my ProFlight tower. http://shop.monstertower.com/p-94-monster-tower-navigation-light.aspx My tower already has a hole coming out at the bottom drivers side and a hole going into the boat behind the panel through the tower foot. My tower speakers are wired down the other side (port). My questions are how do I access the area behind the panel in order to get to the wire from the hole in the tower foot to wire to the switch? Or is there a better way or place to just tap into the existing navigation light wires? My 2003 Elite V has the long pole mount on the starboard side beside the sunpad. Any suggestions on the best way to wire this light?
  2. I've read good things about these. www.nauticlaugic.com. I'm seriously considering getting one myself. I emailed them and Cary answered all my questions pronto.
  3. Thanks. That's it. I'll take a look at that vent for sure before spending that much on a metal rod. May not have a choice though. Is there a way to clean the vent if it is stopping up or not moving freely?
  4. 07typhoon, that is similar to what I did. I found a piece of abs plastic and used my dremel, then wrapped it in some brushed aluminum vinyl.
  5. I have trouble keeping my dipstick for my transmission on tight. After we took the boat out the last time, I noticed the dipstick was barely in the hole. I can't seem to tighten it down good for some reason. I plug it in and turn to tighten. I figured I may need to replace it. Anyone know where I can get one (other than my dealer)?
  6. I installed the Kenwood unit this past summer. Easy install and I am pleased with it. Just pop the iphone, ipod or USB in and so far works great. I'm thinking of adding one or two of the wired remotes now. It does take a little getting used to as far as searching and finding songs on the ipod.
  7. Can you tell me where you ordered your sensor from and how much it was? Thanks.
  8. buergday, the cooler has coils inside to cool the ATF as it flows through. What usually cracks is the coils on the inside. If this happens, water can get into the ATF and also, the ATF will seep through the cracks and be flushed into the lake with the water. It is a slow process and will take some time if the crack is small. I ran mine at least 40 hours into the spring before I noticed the slipping and thus the low fluid level and water. I did exactly as your talking about doing, running it about and hour or two in between the first tow changes. On the third change, the ATF looked fine and it had run maybe 10 hours since the last change. I will definately be keeping an eye on it though just to make sure this solved my problem.
  9. On my Elite V, I use a fluid extractor I bought from West Marine. Pumps it out the fill hole in about a minute. Refil with the amount you took out. The 6.9 quart one is the one I bought and it works very well. Here is is. http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/store...;classNum=10440
  10. I need to change mu plugs, wires, distributor cap, etc. Just wandering where you guys get these items from?
  11. I got the old cooler off today and picking up the new one tomorrow. Toughest part was getting the water lines off each end. I think they had melted/glued on some from heat. Might get interesting putting them back on the new one. Maybe a little oil on the cooler ends? Thanks again guys. I didn't see much signs of oil in the bottome of the boat/bilge, so I'm guessing the cooler is the culprit for losing the oil as you all have suggested. When winterizing, how do I make sure water is out of the cooler? I usually don't winterize because we ride practically year round.
  12. Alrighty, thanks kgordon. I just called my dealer and he has one sitting on the shelf I can get on the cheap (very cheap!). I think I'll go ahead and change that out and then start the pump out, re-fill, run routine to get all the water out. Hope, no damage has been done! Thanks again.
  13. That sounds easy enough. Now if someone could just tell me where that cooler is and about how big it is.
  14. kgordon, that would explain the low level and water. We have used this boat probably 20-30 times since the last freeze, so it is possible it may have a small crack. Is there any way to test or check this myself, or will it have to have a pressurized test of some sort by the dealer?
