Looks like someone did a non factory wire run directly from the alternator. The other wire is probably factory. Maybe previous owner had power issues? If that's the case do I just cap those two wires and a direct run to that stud from battery 2? How do isolate ignition and guages from the harness? Is there an easy way?

I have the switch setup below. Battery 1 on top post 1 and starter on load side. Second battery is on post 2 and load is run to the amps so far. Where do I hook up to the House electronics under the dash. I have looked at the fuse block for everything and found 2 red wires coming into the fuse block on the stud both wires are hot coming from the alternator area and the second one buried in the harness. How do I hook up the house to the second battery?

So take speaker 1 positive and loop to speaker 2 positive then to amp positive and the same for negative correct? Sorry haven't touch audio stuff in 10 years so a little rusty. Thanks again

Thanks for the response appreciate it!!!! As far as the cabin speakers go when you mean parallel how does that work? My battery wiring is 2 Guage up to the amps 4 Guage is what the amp can handle. In the future maybe gonna add 2 more tower speakers 7.7 Jl audio could I use the 4 wires I'm gonna put in the tower the 12 guage wire to parallel for upgrade in the future? Or do I need to add another 4 wire? Thanks

Originally equipped with a deck and 4 interior speakers. Upgrading to M600/1 jl amp mono class d M600/6 jl amp class d Qty 2 Jl 6.5 infinite baffle tower speakers 60 w peak 225 w 4 ohm Qty 6 Jl 6.5 infinite baffle in the interior 4 ohm Qty 1 Jl M10W5-SG-WH in a ported rhino lined enclosure 4 ohm 250 w rms 500 peak 8 awg to the sub 12 Guage to tower and 6 other 4 awg amp inputs Question is how should all the amps and speakers be wired specifically and any suggestions appreciated? Thanks looking to go boom boom this year.

Live 15 min away at Ellsworth and McDowell every chance we get we where there the last few weeks can't believe how warm it is. Got my boat apart upgrading the stereo and ballast system right now. So back to the lake in January my kids love the lake. Everyday after school it's can we go to the lake. Do you live close too?
