  1. Good call Skibumm. I'm sure some of them would fit. I guess I could deal with speedo not working and when ready, upgrade to PP. Just would like all the gauges to work. Thanks guys, on to next battlle.
  2. http://greatlakesskipper.com/ski-centurion-gtc021a-gsc019a-faria-oversized-inboard-boat-multi-function-gauges-set-of-2 No dice at GLS. Saw these and wondered if they might be a more readily available option.
  3. Maybe I'll give them a call and see if they have any in stock.
  4. You can always work a flat nose chisel in to the clamp and smack it with a hammer. Provided there's room for that.
  5. I like the Velcro idea. I found a site that shows how to test the sensor with a multi meter. I'll give that a shot, then move on to the gauge. I'm wondering if the guys with the new digital displays will be blowing up th forum in ten years when they no longer make a replacement?
  6. Chenige, get some PB Blaster and soak the mounting bolts down. That'll help loosen the mounting block bolts up. They looked like 7/16" with a capture nut on the other end. I'm going to be working on my float crib this weekend, so I'll snap a picture for you.
  7. I'm thinking most are a generic size. Looks like most steering cables have a 1 1/8" nut that threads on the support tube. If you can access the area, there are 4 bolts that connect the mounting block to the support tube. If you loosen those bolts, the support tube should slide in/out. Then reverse order for the new tube install.
  8. http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/userportal/document.do?docId=711 Hopefully, the link works. It's called a stronger mounted support tube.
  9. That piece,or tube, is where the rudder end of the cable mounts to the hull. On mine the tube is aluminium with male threads where the 1 1/8" nut on the steering cable attaches.
  10. Man, that pvc looks great. If duct tape was randomly placed somewhere in there, I'd say that would be a museum quality showpiece.
  11. Not sure what a new gauge would run. The guy I spoke to at Faria said that I could purchase from someplace online, but would be considerably more expensive than the warranty work.
  12. Wow! A three year lifetime warranty. Kinda like insurance for a smart phone. $11 bucks a month, then $150 when you need the screen replaced.
  13. 2005 Centurion T5

Nice boat. Welcome to the crew. It's funny how many different combos of T5 there are.
  14. I should've said original owners. Anyone know the deal with Faria warranty?
  15. Skibumm, when it shows up i'll snap a pic and post it. Not sure if the old one was treated with anything. I think what I've seen under the carpet is yellow/orange glue.
  16. They do, but for a mere $130 they'll give you three extra years of warranty. It reminds me of " yea,but this one goes to 11". I believe the warranty covers one owner boats. Maybe I'm wrong.
  17. Like your comment about a marriage saver. Man, if it was that easy, everything I have would have perfect pass installed!
  18. Skibumm, no it doesn't have perfect pass. That might be a addition for later. I'd just like the speedo to work and not sure how to check the gauge. Ive looked at the Naut logic?? Think that was the name. It plugs into the existing speedo. If my gauge works then that's the way I'll go.
  19. Sometimes I hate spell check. I wanted to say a gas tank that never emptys.
  20. That's cool! Maybe that company will make oil that never has to be changed. I'd still have a regular as a back up. That way if the "never has to be changed" impeller, has to be changed, say on the big family/buddy trip of the year. Now let's get that company to make a gas tank that never entry.
  21. I understand that it may be stronger, just seems like they'd use a newer product. Just got off the phone with Shell at Fine line. She said they still use the treated plywood on boats. She said she'll have a piece made by Friday and ship it. The only thing is it won't have carpet on it. Looks like I'll take the existing carpet off the old one and glue it on the new.
  22. I thought it was funny that they'd take the time to fabricate a starboard type plastic box, covered in carpet to cover the fuel lines in the back trunk, but not make the ski locker lid the same way. Things that make you go hmmmm...
  23. Maybe suggest that your friend buys the brew sand you'll help him. Everybody needs a beer assistant. Plus, it's nice to have a buddy there to bounce ideas off of.
